The repair automatically function in central admin health analyzer does not work.... this is from personal exp and research.. i have had this issue w. 2 separate db in sp 2010.. it was due to sub sites being deleted from site collections and sql not reclaiming the db space.. you can resolve the issue by shrinking the db in question from powershell or sql srv management studio... another one that health analyzer wont "repair automatically" is when a db has grown too big etc.. which can be caused from allowing ur transaction logs to grow... this must also be resolved using sql srvr management studio or PowerShell.... From my exp "repair automatically" has not worked very successfully in real world implementations

I gave the exam and passed with 833 score. This was my second attempt.
The exam is a little easier now with 55 questions.
Study the Enzo dumps really well, Lopez has uploaded screenshots and someone has shared the links. Also read the comments on the renowski page for all the drag and drop questions.

Be careful for the restore and backup questions. In mine i got powershell commands for backup and restore for a farm and not site collection.

If u study the dumps and screenshots, it should be more than enough to clear the exam.

the option is in the CA ==> Managed web Application ==> Workflow ==>Enable user-defined workflows for all sites on this web application? option "no"
the user still can edit pages but if he tries to create a new workflow he gets a message saying that user-defined workflows have been disabled by administrator and will not be alble to run.

CA -> Web Application Management -> General Settings (click on the small arrow) -> Workflow -> Enable User Defined Workflows = No

Anyone know how to to prevent user to create workflows by SharePoint designer, but they should be able to edit the pages of the site using SharePoint designer. I dun seem to find the answer in my coursebook. CA ==> Managed web Application ==> Workflow ?

The exam is easy, don't listen to the scary words in the comments, read and study and take hands on lap and You will pass.
Read the comments very well (without the scary words :-)), study the questions in it, and sure read this dump also it has some of the questions

beside i have worked with sharepoint 2010 test enviroment , also using some power shell commands

take care from
1-the drag and drop it is pretty hard
2-the big multiple choice more than 4 choices it is very tricky,
3- please check most common power shell commands before taking the exam
5- read about SSS and search and
6- read about secure store with excel service application
7- read about making search service have administrative privildge
8- read about authentication providers
7- read about making unattended accounts

It was still really tough. No the dump is not enough. It does have 15-20 of the questions, but there are a lots of drag and drop along with several combination questions. Meaning not only how to configure a service app, but how to combine that service app with another. For example, you need to know how to configure SSS, Excel serveries and Infopath services. You also need to know how to use SSS with Excel services (drag and drop the correct order to configure Excel Services to use SSS to connect to an external data source).

I just sat this exam in the UK this morning, I was expecting 85 questions, but it was only 55, managed to pass with 916. Alot of questions were really similar to what I seen from the test pdf flying around and in the comments here.

hmm. kinda of strange, previously when i booked the exam and it was a 4 hours exam. now i rebook again, it is 3 hours now, anyone can confirm if Microsoft change the no of question this time.

Overigens stond in de kleine letters vermeld dat niet alle vragen mee zouden tellen. Dus het lijkt wel willekeur te zijn zou je denken.

I passed quite easily yesterday.
I only had 55 questions, of which 25-30% from this dump.

Other questions:
5 drag en drop (tip: first add as many as possible to see how many you have to drop. If the answer requires 3 actions, you cannot add 4)

1 simulation (the anonymous cache one you can find in other comments)

About 10 questions with 8-10 options but these I found super easy. All other options except the answer were obviously wrong (ie to restore a site collection there was only 1 that had the Restore-SPSite command, all others were backup or farm related)

Some new questions with just 4 choices. These were a bit harder but all in all I did not find it that difficult (compared to other exams where I studied hard and still failed)

Hi Karim, to be honest: there's no good dump anymore. There are some multiple choices from this dump in the exam but for the rest you have to study.

People, watch CBT nuggets videos. The most important thing is you need to understand the context of SharePoint. Somelike, what are Performance Point Services and for what you can use it. etc etc etc. The only thing pass this exam is study study study. really and not hope for new dumps.

the point is you must study what's in the notes. because i forgot the exact question. and do not depend only from this dump. this is the best but only 10-15 question is out on the exam.

One thing you should know each and every option in the central administration page and practise different scenarios in a test environment.

I barely passed the exam last monday (750) here in Morocco. I found it extremely hard even if I think I was well prepared (read the MCTS Self-Paced Book, practiced all its labs and watched the CBT Nuggets videos). Out of the 85 questions I got, only 15-20 were from this dump.

Hoi Jan, Something like: Drag and drop the appropriate zone to the corresponding group (I don't remember the word "Group" . could also have been "audience" or something like that. but it was definitely a drag and drop question). And after xx years of Inter/Intra/Extranet software development they blow me away with this question. It felt like I was a tiny dwarf standing in the dark not knowing what to do then only peeing in my mini-green pants. mostly because this was a dubious question regarding the "custom/default" part. I must honestly admit: nicely done by the Microsoft team, 0-1 for them ;) KZ

Aldo I do not know the exact question/answer setup, maybe the following can help you out:

The "integrated mode" allows you to use SharePoint document libraries to store reports so that reports can be published, viewed and managed using the same user interface as is used for other documents in SharePoint.

To integrate SSRS and SharePoint 2010, you must install the Reporting Services Add-In on SharePoint web front-end servers and make several configuration changes. (ps: The Reporting Services Add-In is a free download.)

I already described the 3way steps in previous post but in short: If you want to us SharePoint together with SQL report services then you select "integrated mode". If you want to use the "SQL report services" as a standalone feature from SQL then you use native mode (Like just connecting the old 2007 web parts to find an view reports stored on the report server.)

Further, it's not enough to complete these steps in Central Administrator. You also have to "enable/activate" this feature in SharePoint site collection level: (Notice the "Integration" word.)

3way-steps:

1. Open the top-level site collection where you want to publish SSRS reports.
2. Site Actions, Site Settings, Site Collection Administration, Site Collection Features.
3. Locate the Report Server Integration Feature and click Activate.

Peter and KingZ: I remember there was a question about this in the exam and the native mode was between the drag & drops which you can select.

I don't remember the exact question but how do you know if you have to use Native mode or Integrated mode?

The reason for this answer is that Microsoft moved from simple multiple-choice questions to a more do-able setup so they can verify that you absolutely know what you are doing/knowing. I also noticed that there are lots of questions where they want you to know exactly in which sub-item selection some item is/was hidden, actually 50% (=exaggerated) of their questions is regarding this type of "knowing where the sub-items are hidden" questions. Their drag questions give them even the possibility to trick you in 3 levels deep.
And more: I also don't think that they step aside of "installing/configuring" SharePoint to the install procedure of "rsSharePoint.msi". It's therefore that I changed your original question "Installing Reporting services for SharePoint" into "Configuring Report Services IN SharePoint". I admire your effort on this one(!) and I really don't know, but.what I can tell you is that I tested every single multiple-choice "drag and drop" question on "how much can you drag to the other side". Yep, I'm some sort of a meticulous person. And guess what. there is a limit of 3 drags ;) . trying it out for the fun of it.

So, it's more probably that your answer is to long (but not ever less very nicely done). I also can't memorize the "rsSharePoint.msi" part in the exam (I could be wrong. Anyone else?)

Therefore I stick to the following 3way answer (=not the exact spellings and I even don't know if this is what they are looking for.):
1) Select Central Admin, General Application Settings.
2) Select Reporting Services Integration.
3) Add a Report Server to the Integration.

I have these as the basic steps for SSRS integration. Can someone confirm these are the options from the exam:

1. Install the rsSharePoint.msi add-in
2. Configure Reporting Services integration in Central Administration, which includes specifying the URL of the report server.
3. Verify the report server integration and Central Administration features are activated under Site Collection Features.
4. Activate the Report Server File Sync feature in Central Administration.
5. Configure the types of events that are captured in the Trace log.
6. For each Document Library, add the three reporting services content types: Report Builder, Report Data Source and Report Builder Report.

What I also saw last friday when I took the second exam was a statement from Microsoft before the exam that some questions will not count for the result of the exam. So you fill in 85 questions but some of them will not count for the exam. But how many questions? Nobody knows I think.

Personally.: I don't think so. since I ranked myself intentionally very low, and I did get the 85 questions. Also, why should Microsoft design a rule based on 5 parameters to select the amount of questions? In my opinion I thought that the 55 questions design was a transition state where already more new difficult questions were involved (Call it a test state as you will.). I also noticed that they started to infiltrate the new questions around Mei 2011 with still 55 questions rate (=Country based). The 55 to 85 question rate model is more based on the country exam version upgrade design then based on a personal rate rule. For my part, I think 85 is the new standard with a minimal of 700 on 1000 point to achieve.

Hoi Jan. The shrinking database is a weird one. gives me a second to explain:

There is a SharePoint rule as "Database has large amounts of unused space" that will fire in SharePoint CA when this event occurs. Only and only then in that window there is a "Repair Automatically" button which will not work! You can push the button but the dbase will not shrink. (Some sort of placebo effect.even in SharePoint SP1) If you look up in ms SharePoint technet and ms blog's (November 2011 notes) you will notice that you must use SQL management to shrink the dbase because you need to pre-verify some settings. (Like a nightly event, heavy usage considerations, site collection movements, copies, backup, etc) you can read more on this issue at:

So for me: The "Repair Automatically" button is a GUI failure because they use this "type of pop-up windows" for other rules as well, but in the end: your dbase will not be shrinked. There is also no other button in the CA to shrink the dbase at a maintenance level point of view.

Further: I could not test this because I never had this popup error. never less, I did found a screenshot online with the "Repair Automatically button" shown. but again. it will do nothing.

Also, you will not find anything mentioned about this in following books: (Google shrink)

It's very annoying that answers on the same questions are different at Enzo's dump and the latest dump from Renkowski.
For example:

You have a sharepoint server 2010 server farm. From the Health analyzer list you discover the following message: database has large amounts of unused space. You need to reduce the amount in the database. Which tool should you use?

According to Enzo's dump, the answer is Central Administration
According to Renkowski's dump from dump4certs it's Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

So what to believe? And so there are more differences. very confusing.

From dump C by Renkowski I had 2 new questions, other questions from this dump. Dump B - only for study. There are a lot of simulations and drag and drops now. 90% of new questions have 8-10 answers. I think, 85 questions, 'cause it's second attempt :/

Passed today at the second attempt with 800 points and I had 85 questions too. Yeap, you're must study, 'couse this dump valid for 20% (max. 30%, if you're very lucky). :)

Failed again with 624. There are a lot of questions not in the dump. And then i'm talking about the multiple choices. Last time I had 55 questions and now 85 questions. Both failed with 624.

Is it so difficult to upload a dump with the actual answers within drag and drop questions??? How are other dumps so completely en up to date and this 70-667 dump are not within drag and drop questions?? Can somebody give me the answer? From 20 december 2011, is the dump changed but until now no one have the drag and drop question in a dump? Again is it so difficult?

Passed exam with help from this forum. I selected one up from the least amount of experience for every question regarding my background in SharePoint and I got 85 questions! I don't know if this was because of that or if it would have been 85 questions anyway.

About 20-30 questions were valid from enzo101q. Started off with Non-AD questions, claims based was not in the list of answers.

Simulation for Output Cache was a breeze. If you read the question and look at the screen, you will figure it out. Don't spend much time worrying about this.

2 questions that referenced Unified Logging Service. I would advise brushing up in that area, but briefly.


All in all, I found the test pretty difficult and I would say you need to really be prepared. I barely passed. Thanks so much for everyone's help!!!

Tiger, I have passed with thhis Dump and all the helpful comments last week. I think it is the most complete dump available right now.
The test is hard and you should really simulate the things mentioned in the comments yourself before taking it if you have no SP experience.

I passed with 724 today - HARD WORK! because i haven't any experiences exept for some standalone SP installation. If you memorize this fantastic dump quite well 50% are still valid. (beware: in the test they want to confuse and rearranged the order of the answers comparing to the order in the dump so make sure to read the answers before you tick it). Take the comments about the drag&drops serously. Google and read the Technet og videos. I'm sure the 700 limit is reachable if you spend a little time on reading. I got 90% of the dr&drop questions commented here from all you.

Failed. this exam is not enough to pass. So what people said before it's true. There are some questions from this dump but also some multiple choice questions that are not in the dump. Enable cache output simulation, non AD questions and drag and drop. Also know how to backup and restore.

Onq question, why do they ask your level of knowledge before the exam. What happens when you profile yourself low? Or high? Does that matter for the questions?

Passed my test today. Geez there were a lot of NON-MULTIPLE choice questions on my exam. 1 interactive questions with a screen shot of an admin page (output cache page) where I need to set the appropriate options described in the question. and about 5 or 8 questions were I had to drag and drop in the correct order the steps required to complete what the questions asked. The hard part was you don't necessarily need to drag and drop all the options that are provided.
As well as new standard multiple choice questions I've never seen before. Sorry I have a bad memory :0(

@zizo, in my exam I had 3 questions on granting non ad users access to sharepoint, for the first one I had asked which authentication method will you use, and it had options like claims, classic, membership provider roles, select non adusers and grant access. for that one I had to select claims based. because its asking about authentication provider. for the second one it was asking about roles there I had to select membership provider role. for the third question senario was the same but question asked was different. there I had to select select users and then grant access.

I scored 814 in the exam. Most of the questions were from 101 dump. this was infact my second attempt. from my findings In the exam survey I believe if you rate yourself Low and show your experience in sharepoint as upto 1 year. then you will get most of the questions from this dump. Yeah I truely believe that this dumps is not enough to pass the exam. You also should read all he comments from the users in this forum.

i prepared all thigs which is mentioned before in this forum, but unluckily i failed might be due to incorrect answers of 8-possible options. No valid exam file is present on examcollection.com however some questions from 101questions file.

I failed today with 691 Points. There are many new questions. there are many drag and drop questions that require you to know the steps to configure search service app, configure application pools and others. There are 12 to 15 new questions with 8 possible responses. one 1 simulation question (it was about configuring output cache for anonymous users). The old dumps 101 question have only 15 to 18 questions, its my suggestion to all of that plz don't go for exam if you have not strong theoretical knowledge or wait for new exam file.The simulation and drag & drop questions have more %age regarding points.i have more than 3 years practical experience with multiple sharePoint server configuration.

I remember one special question about query and crawls. Sorry that i don't remember the exactly spelling. It's something like that. You have an external file disk additional to you SP database. You want that the the searchresult will always give results from that disk. What shall you do:

It seems that the new questions are quite static and do not change because i recognized axactly the same questions as scorpio77+Md. It's about 50% from this dump so YOU MUST TAKE Mds comments seriously - to memorize the answers from this dump. I had 5 wrong answers from the old dump and regrets that i did not take the old dump seriously. If you memorize Md's comments (the last one) you already have the 3 right answers from the test. The drag and drop they ask you:

1) Secure store service config: You get an list of 6-7 steps. Some steps is wrong about 3 or 4 is right. You find out exacly by drag and drop the steps to the right side and when it alerts stop you know the number of steps. Next you pick the right steps. Next is to arrange the order. To get full score you have to read in the technet how to configure SSS and memorize in your mind which of the steps is revevant.(I think i picked the right steps but wrong order so i have to read about this one more time to be quite sure)
2) Same question for configuring User profile syncronization. You have to read about this in technet. You are asked to pick the right steps and order them.
3) Same question for configuring SQL Server reporting services and which step is relevant and in arrange in the right order
4) Same for the Search service application and which step is relevant and in arrange in the right order

Sorry that did not memorize the questions. I think i had wrong order for all of the drag&drops questions but i was sure that i have right steps, and on the simulation for for 'Anonymous user output cache profile for intranet'. You have to do exactly what Md told you for this question.

The only thing i would suggest is to read this dump to get 30 questions right and read Microsoft website, technet for the question scorpio77 & Vanessa provided. For Drag and drop question, you need to know what are the steps to configure and i think Microsoft tech net web site gives a good idea on how to configure those if you do not have access to the server. And for power shell question read the technet and memorize the options and what they mean.

@Giorgio, The drag and drop questions => Testing our knowledge whether we have the knowledge on how to configure the Service Application using the Central Administration page in a correct order. Example, they are 6 steps given at the left side of the box. You are ask to choose which are the steps that are used to configure the application service. Once you know which steps are been used, then you need to arrange them in a correct order by drag and drop from the left side of the box to the right side of the box.

Failed today with 624. Read and burn it in your brain all the topics that scorpio77 mentioned - it helps but enough to pass. I got all of them. Sadly i saw them late yesterday, and i satt to 2 o'lock and read about them. You have to read about:
1) Configure Anonymous user output cache profile for intranet usage(simulation)
2) 5-6 with drag drop with SSS (secure stored service) + user profile syncronization + configuring infopath with cross domain connection
3) How to configure site collection for anonymous access for zone1 + preventing modify access for another zone2 + preventing settings for other users in zone2
4) How to configure non-Active Directory users
5) 4-5 backup&restore with powershell. I got one how to restore farm. One for content only. Remember the options and what they are for.
6) How to configure SP to query for contents only from fileservers.

The rest are about 20-30 from this dump or older exams. The most tricky is the new questions. Good luck to all of you! I'm going to retake about 2 weeks just to get rid of this shit:)

Do you remember how many steps are for a question? (something like 4-5 or 9-10?)

Just to understand the "Drag&Drop question", for example to answer correct to the question "Steps to configure the Search Service Application" the steps below are enough or is needed more specific steps?

I've failed the exam today, 605 points. More than 40% new questions :( I hope to see new dump soon.
