Does the CCENT 100-101 exam have any simulations? Or is the dump sufficient to pass exam as is? Does the CCNA Routing and switching 200-201 have simulations or is the dump sufficient enough to pass exam? Thx

Answer is correct. The Destination MAC address should be different than any given in the mac-address-table. Then answer D is valid and as should be.

I didn't mean to upset anyone that was seriously into networking. I 100% agree with you guys i'm not a network engineer but i'm a system engineer, I just didn't want to discourage the people from taking this test re-thinking and over studying because the dumps wouldn't allow them to pass. I 100% agree that in the networking field (getting a job) if you don't understand the concepts you will not make it far. My review was suppose to be directed towards the test itself stating that you more then likely could pass the test like i did just by studying the dumps and yes you will need to know the concepts to get a real job.

Mark, it is not mainly about passing a test. You could just have luck and pass it.without knowing anything It can happen but it doesnt help you further in real life. Cisco cert is just a pape it doesnt guarantee any job. I think you are an young guy .as you grow up you ll see things different.

Mark, it's called PERSONAL PRIDE.

If you want to just be a dumbass cheat and memorise the questions, fine. You'll get shown up in your job.

I studied for a while and practiced on Packet Tracer. Learnt all the concepts and understood them.

I took these dumps and was hitting 85% first time. I have a genuine passion for networking.

I trully believe that if you study JUST Cbt Nuggets and have home lab is very easy to get at least ICND1. Gns3 at this level works just fine. The way I see gns3 . it is like renting a remote lab. you don't have that touch. it is very important to see the actual ports. the connections between routers. the LED's lighting up.
for example i recently bought a router that had the older config. with this ocassion I HAD to learn how to bypass the password requirement. then . it tried to "see" ipv6 working and ospf propagation. my old image didnt support ipv6 so i HAD to learn how to change the ios image and all that. i think real lab is very important because you learn LOTS of stuff on the go.

Now, i am not sure which one is easier the old ICND2 or the new one???

  • Jul 19, 2013

The ospf lab is very very easy if you understand the very basic of ospf. All you need to know is that HELLO timers have to be the same and that router id have to be unique on each router within the same area. Also you need to know the default hello timer and the very basic show commands and of course you need to make sure there is layer1 and layer2 functionality before you troubleshoot layer 3(ospf). If you don't know those easy things there is not point in being certified. The goal is to be ready to get a job to have the knowledge for it. The cisco ceritification is worth nothing w/o knowledge to back it up.

I just passed with 986 the 100-101. Dump is 100% valid with same questions but sometimes different values. It had one new major lab that you can't find in the dumps. It is a topology with 6 routers and 2 switches running ospf. It is all about troubleshooting but it is very basic one. I can't remember the topology but i scored 100% at it. All 5 questions from this LAB were about reasons for which two routers does not form neighbours. The answers were same router ID on router R3 and R6, R3 and R4 where in different area, R3 si R5 had different HELLO timer , R5 didn't have a password set and could not for neighbour with R2. I will try later to remember the topology.
If you study cbt nuggets alone you can succeed because all topic are there. Don't try to learn the questions but to understand them.

Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to post the dump and make corrections! I'm about to take the 100-101 tomorrow. I'm surprised by the relative lack of questions about IPv6, OSPF, NAT, etc. Cisco made a big deal about adding this material to the new ICND1, but the dumps that I've seen here don't emphasize these topics as much as I thought they would.

@Rizzle: You are right if Host A have send some packets before to GW or through GW.
The logic is:
I am host A and want to send packet to host which is not in my network, then I have to send it to my default GW or GW to destination network. GW is 192.168.0.1 and is part of my network. HELLO GW, WHERE ARE YOU? I KNOW YOUR IP and GIVE ME YOUR MAC PLEASE. (it means Host A have to send ARP request for ff-ff-ff-ff-ff-ff to find GW).
PS: Which city do you live?

Question 5
Host A is sending a packet to Host B for the first time. What destination MAC address will Host A use in the ARP request?

Answer says E. ff-ff-ff-ff-ff-ff

Since Host B is on a different network, shouldn't Host A automatically recognise this, and put the MAC Address of the Router in it's destination MAC address field to forward the packets?

@Mikin a leased line is typically a dedicated, rented connected between routers. You rent these from a telecommunication company. It is popular here and a typical connection would be 1.544 Mbps.

@dhan219, thanks for pointing that out. The answer is: B E

Explanation

A group of access points connected to the same WLAN are known as an Extended Service Set (ESS). Within an ESS, a client can associate with any one of many access points that use the same Extended service set identifier (ESSID). It allows users to roam about an office without losing wireless connection -> B is correct.

Two APs operating near each other should be configured on different channels to avoid interference. There are fourteen channels defined in the IEEE 802.11b channel set. Each channel is 22MHz wide but there is only 5MHz channel separation so the channels are overlapped. Channels 1, 6 and 11 are most commonly used because they do not overlap as shown below:
