I have passed exam yesterday with score 979.
Layer 2 - 98%
Infrastructure security - 100%
Infrastructure services - 100%

This was my second try. First time I had problem with lab simulations, but fortunately Cisco provided me with complimentary voucher for second try.

I have used only JvD dump, there are 2 or 3 wrong answers in it - they were discussed here in comments.

I have used certprepare.com for labs. I got AAAdot1x lab and LACP with STP lab. Some changes in configs, provided by certprepare were needed, but everything is discussed in comments there.

Keep in mind that #write and #copy running-config startup-config are not available in both labs. There is no need to save your work using these commands.

Just passed an hour ago.. 958/1000.. jvd164 + certprepare for labs + comments..

one of the comments on LACP lab was to apply encapsulation dot1q on the interface ranges... do not do that.. just apply them on the Port-Channel and it will get propagated to the interfaces.

Other then that.. it shud be said.. if you are failing.. you are not understanding the concept.. not memorizing the dumps.. not looking at lab failures and troubleshooting them.. throw in as many show commands u can to get the answer..

I did the exam yesterday 1pm in frankfurt and passed with 853.

I would 100% surely every questions from JVD 164 and Galvin 158. In gakvin all the questions and answers are correct and in JVD 43 to 53( nearly 10 questions) wrong, but cross check with the galvin as galvin is 100 corrct.

Additionally there are some extra questions in JVD (158 to 164 = 6Questions) anf those are very very important as i got almost every thing from there. please find 5 of them below (1 question was same as in galvin)

Carefull... This exam have some wrong anwsers. Got as least 5. For example, the monitor session filter question.

I thought my score is perfect. Then suddenly it is 874/1000. I don't know why.. I think its on the simulation is the problem..

Passed today with 832/1000. Dumps are 100% valid. Questions are as it is from dumps for me. 36 questions including aaadot1x, lacp with stp, VTPv3, Ferris. All simulations are same as dumps, even IP address are same for me. Heading for Tshoot. Switchport mode access already configured for fa0/1 in aaadot1x. But I still configured. Good luck guys.

I started by SWA.

First, I applied a command "show cdp neighbors" and I saw the router's IP (192.168.1.1).

NOTE: You dont need to change the F0 / 1 interface to trunk

VLANs 11, 12 and 13 were already created.
1 - I set the spanning-tree as "primary root" for VLANs 11-13,21-23 (the simulator accepts range separated by a hyphen / comma).
2 - So I created VLANs 21, 22 and 23 with their respective names.
3 - I configured the interfaces f0 / 3-4 (ATTENTION: need to have space).
Removed the access switch settings and VLAN 98 (the switchport mode access / no switchport access vlan 98).
Created the channel (channel-group 1 mode active / channel-protocol lacp).
Activated the interface (no shutdown).
4 - I entered the interface Portchannel 1
5 - Configured trunk:
switchport mode trunk
6 - I configured the Native VLAN:
switchport trunk native vlan 99

switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,21-23
7 - Activated the interface (no shutdown)

ATTENTION: I even put the "switchport mode trunk" and appearing in "show-run" I had to apply the interfaces f0 / 3 - 4. Because when I applied "show interfaces f0 / 3 switchport" displayed as ACCESS MODE. Then I applied only "switchport mode trunk" in the interface f0/3 - 4

SWB:
1 - I created the VLANS 21,22 e 23 with their respective names.
2 - I created the Native Vlan 99
3 - I configured the interface range f0/9 - 10 (mode access/vlan 21/portfast/no shutdown)
I configured the interface range f0/13 - 14 (mode access/vlan 22/portfast/no shutdown)
I configured the interface range f0/15 - 16 (mode access/vlan 23/portfast/no shutdown)

4 - I configured VTP mode transparent (vtp mode transparent)
5 - I configured STP (spanning-tree mode rapid-pvst)

ATTENTION: I do not set a default route on SWB, because the LAB says SWB shouldn't have route.

6 - The VLAN 1 had a configured IP, but I applied the command SHUTDOWN / NO SHUTDOWN.

7 - I configure the interface f0-3 - 4 (PASSIVE to channel)
channel-group 1 mode passive
channel-protocol lacp
no shutdown

8 - I configured the interface Portchannel 1 (ATTENTION: You need apply the command "switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q" before the command "switchport mode trunk".

9 - I set up the Native VLAN:
switchport trunk native vlan 99
10 - Allow Vlan 1, 21-23 (switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,21-23)
11 - Activated the interface (no shutdown)

At this time I preferred to apply the command "shutdown / no shutdown" at the interfaces f0/3 - 4 and PortChannel 1 as a precaution.

I checked all configuration:

show etherchannel summary
show interfaces trunk
show run
show vtp status
show spanning-tree summary
show interfaces f0/3 or f0/4
show interfaces f0/3 or f0/4 switchport

I could do a ping to Router normally.

AAA + DOT1X

SW ASW1: The f0 / 1 interface was already configured as ACCESS and VLAN 20.

1 - I set the AAA (aaa new-model)
2 - I set Radius Server (172.120.40.46) key rad123
3 - I set Radius to used for 802.1x authentication "aaa authentication dot1x default group radius"
4 - I set DOT1X globally "dot1x system-auth-control"
3 - I set the interface f0/1 to force PC autheticate through the 802.1x "dot1x port-control auto" NOTE: The IOS does not recognize the "dot1x pae authenticator" command.

show dot1x interface f0/1
show dot1x all


SW DSW1:

1 - I created the ACL Standard 10 (permit 172.120.40.0/24)
2 - I created the vlan access-map PASS 10 (match ip add 10 / action forward)
3 - I created the vlan access-map PASS 20 (action DROP)

NOTE: Before applying the command "vlan filter PASS vlan-list 20". Make sure the VACLs are correct.

show access-list 10
show vlan access-map PASS
show run

If everything is correct, apply the filter.

Which Radius Host IP Address did you used?
172.120.39.46 or 172.120.40.46?

Dump is still very valid. Passed yesterday with 937. Some new questions have been introduced. But you wouldn't miss it if you have the basic idea.

Labs: AAA, LACP, VTP.

If you have an android phone, you can open the dump with A+Vce software. Can also be used on PC with blue stack installed.

Actually, i dont know how to verify aaadot1x. I just did same as cerprepare. And try to verify ASW and DSW by show running config. One more thing, you need to shutdown Fa0/1 then no shutdown again to make sure it always up.

Is This dump is the same of premium dump 164q?

I have planned to take up switch certification next week. I have one imp doubt on LACP-STP simulation. I read from the fellow contributors that in the Port which connects to Router from Switch A –> Fa0/1 , we need to remove the “switchport mode access commands” and need to change it to ” switchport mode trunk ” command;
Please let me know if we also need to add “switchport trunk native vlan 99” command in Fa0/1 port that connects to the Router.

i faild i got 740
can any body send tell me about Lacp lab i had problem on the exam

Can anyone tell me if this dump is still valid for this month or anyone who has written the exam in the past 5 days? I will be writing the exam next week.

today i passed by 958/1000, dump is valid 100%
except,
1- LACP you have to ignore the one in dump and study from certprepare.com
2- AAA lap you have to change server radius host ip 172.120.40.46 instead of 172.120.39.46 as dump.

Beware of this dump. Lots of errors and incorrect answers as compared to Gavin and Certprepare. I also looked up some in the Cisco docs to be sure that the JVD dump wasn't correct. So far it is not.
