Don't sweat the SIMs so much. Focus on time management and mark them and come back if you need too. You don't even know what parts fo the test are actually scored. You could be spending tons of time on a SIM that counts for 0 points.
I took the 801 and 802 in Oct. and Network+ in Dec. Passed all three tests with 830ish points and finished with no less then 45mins left on each test. Both the 802 and Network+ I felt like I bombed on some of the SIMS and thought I failed. Only to come out and passed with flying colors.
I did use a dump but got it from somewhere else so not sure how these compare.

Sedre from United States - Dec 26, 2013 Hey guys, took my 801 earlier today. I didn't use any "dumps" to prepare for this test, just books and some videos. I read the notes above about SIMS and they were on target! Unfortunately I failed (655/needed 675) bcuz I spent way too much time on those SIMS and couldn't finish the entire test. Had I managed my time better, I feel I would have passed. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you feel the SIMS are taking too much time? That they may have too many on test? I know some have passed, but to be a Technician, you have to be thorough. I just felt a bit rushed with the long questions (scenarios) & SIMS. Will try again, but just wanted some feedback...thanks for all you guys who posted the SIMS!! That helped me out a bunch!!

December 19th and just passed with an 809. Honestly it was harder than I expected. I memorized three different VCE files on ExamCollection and still only saw 21 questions on the test from the VCEs. I know I got really lucky on multiple questions b/c I didn't think I passed. I got all 8 sims that other people mentioned and they were the first 8 questions I got, which kind of psyched me out a little. The first sim was VERY hard and sadly there has not been anyone who has published the answers yet (that I could find).
Sim #1
You need to build a Virtual Server running Win 2008 with 10 users, a CAD PC, and AV editing machine. This Sim has a lot of options/parts and this is where you can do a lot of mistakes, because there is no process of elimination.

The other SIMS were all easy. On the SOHO ones, pay attention because one of them has MAC filtering and you need to disable it, and another didnt have "enable wireless checked". Also change wireless channel on both SIMS. If you pay attention on those two, they are very easy.

The only other SIM that was challenging at all is below. Thankfully it was easy b/c someone else previously stated the answer, just memorize it.

Gaming PC --- 900W/800W, Intel i5, Dual 1GB DDR5 PCIe x16, Cooling Case, 8GB DDR3 Ram, 250 SSD
Home Theater PC --- psu: 250w/HTPC, cpu: amd phenom, video: 1gb ddr5, special component: tv tuner,
ram: 4gb ddr3, hdd: 1 tb hdd

I am very glad I passed and now on to the 802 test.

Confirmed, all simulation that Mr. George has listed are valid and are coming on your exam, but please try to understand how to deal with it before attempting for exam. I am done with 7XX...

dears, I would like to know more about exam.. is it all multichoice or there will be simulation questions too .. please advse ..

I took this exam Nov 29 and passed. This dumb only has a few questions word for word. Studying these dumps help a lot.

Sim1:
Most challenging SIM

Three columns, given a Virtual PC, Thick Client and Gaming PC, process of elimination, I suggest you start with a gaming pc as suggested by the other candidates

Sim 3
Complete the motherboard layout - RAM slots, 24pin ATX Main power, Fdd, IDE connector, SATA connector, front panel connector, CMOS battery, PCIe16x (Longest), PCI expansion port, PCIe 4x (yellow) and PCIe 1x (smallest one), Front USB connector (blue), CPU socket, CPU
fan power, and CPU additional 4pin power

Sim 4
The connector type matchup: VGA, DVI, HDMI, then s-video.

Sim 5
Bluetooth =100 m
Infrared <100 m
Satellite >100km

Sim6
Given two motherboard layout, Gaming PC vs Server, given 10 options and you need to match their characteristics

Sim 7
Soho - the soho interface setup has 3 tabs that you can click on, you need to setup the router to
broadcast to Library and change the admin password to Secure$1. It has
other network nearby and their SSID and Channel, you need to put the SSID given, disable the Mac filter address and also change the channel. The router has a default channel of one of the nearby houses; I used the channel as 1.

Sim 8
Soho - all the information is given, 2 IP Addresses, 2 Mac addresses, they are for phone and the laptop, SSID is given, don't forget to change the channel again, you need to change your encryption level from WEP to WPA so that you can be able to put the security password, check all the tabs before you save.

Just passed the 220-801 an hour ago with a 770! (Nov-27-2013)
- This dump was ok! I think 15 questions came from it. I got 5 sims (3 wireless setups and 2 build virtual, CAD and a gaming PC) computers.
- Know your raids (got 6 questions from this one subject)
- Two Drag and drop (HDMI, DVI, S-Vid, VGA) and motherboard componants
- Know your connections and of course your A, B, G, N routers and their limitations/advantages and so on.

Is this dump relevant for the 801 test?

The test was very different. I saw 35% of the questions. The other were 6 simulations I didn't expect. 2 were setting wireless lands 2 where were building computers. The multiple questions were kinda hard. Of course I saw some from these website. Passing is 675. I got 802.
