For the Net+ study wireless standards. Study the OSI and what each one has in each layer. Then do a brain dump before starting the test before you forget. Dont spend to much time on the simulator questions go back to them for review at the end. And know ip address sub-net masking. wire pinout for a rj-45 will be good to know.
hi guys im from south africa . i failed yesterday bcoz i ran out of time . just wanted u guys to know that u mustn't stick to one dump . do a whole lot of dumps . most of the questions i got yesterday was mostly from the actual answers dumps and the lead 2 pass dumps . click on this website and download the first few n10-005 exams . dont worry about the dates , bcoz they are all still valid http://www.examcollection.com/comptia.html . i got 4 sim questions as well . u have to set up a wireless connection , put all the troubleshooting steps in order , crimp a cat 5 cable with the right tool and configure a 568b cable
Well, I just got through reading all the comments about the exam and what each person faced for the SIMS questions. I have been studying for a month now and I feel that I know more than I did before. I still have a ways to go for understanding all aspects. In studying for the test, I have used several different resources to gain knowledge and applying what I have learned.
I am going to use this dump and I noted what SIMS I might come upon. Thanks.
Good file, but can't see the 'show answer' button, which helps me to study. Also can't access options for it. Am I doing something wrong?
Did the test on 24/05/13, Brazil.
All the dumps here are valid, some questions were the same work by word.
No doubt they helped a lot! I answered all the dump's 800 questions again and again.
Studied CBT nuggets videos and some network+ books.
Scored 835 out of 900.
1)to configure an AP at an office. there were 3 APs at an office, and users were complaining of bad connectivity.I changed the channels so they don't overlap;
2)Select the right sequence of the 568-b standard;
3)Enable and disable ports on a switch, because there is a loop on the network.
4)8 steps of troubleshooting, put them in order.
Thanks everybody for all comments and dumps, it really did the trick for me.
Passed on the 9th, most question are from dump. about 60-65%. used CBT videos, studied most of the dumps here and used the exam cram as reference. I have experience in the field been in the IT for while.
Passed exam, this dump is 60% valid as most persons have mentioned.
Sims were, Building Wap, Match Connectors, Wiring Diagram and Switch after power outtage.
Use this dump and Prof Messers.
This was about 60% valid for me today. Not enough to pass by this alone.
I passed by studying the Network+ by Todd Lammle and then went through these questions.
Good luck to the rest of you who are going to write!
this dump is 65% valid guys i wrote on mondae and i passed, its advisable to use other studying materials as well
Took the exam last April 22 and passed. had 4 sims:
1. configuring antenna signal and encryption between 2 buildings
2. reset port switch after power failure
3. identify which tool to use given a report and assessing if cable is working or not
4. network troubleshooting methodology.
exam questions were from the dump, thankfully. I studied the examcram and this dump.
Hi Guys took the exam today in South Africa passed with 784 the simulations are spot on these are the ones i had.
Sims I had:
1. Identify the Fibre connectors had FC ST LC and Dual LC
2. Kill the routing loop (disconnect the wire connected between switch 2 and 3)
here I disabled both the ports one on each switch was not too sure how to do it
and if it was rite as your guys should know that even if you disable one it will kill t the loop. ( Please advise if one or both ports should be disabled)
3. WAPs in two different buildings and you need to set them up (Directional signal from main building to the other with WAP and same encryption on each side, no security on the three WAPs in building because open guest accounts need to be active, limit the inside signal by using opposite directional att.'s on the walls and omni in the middle)
As everyone states this exam is about 60% go through all the questions have basic knowledged on networking some hands on experience and go through
other study material and you will be just fine, Thanks to all that have posted on this site.
also, I got the same 4 sims as listed below (wiring, WAP, troubleshooting methodology, switching loop)
I passed using this dump today 4/21/2013. I have to agree that this is about 60% valid. East Coast USA. Some questions were worded differently and the ones that were not on the test were easy enough with some secondary study material. I used the Todd Lammle study guide, this brain dump, and a few of the Prof. Messer videos. Though, I didn't find out about him until I was just about to take the test. I passed with an 825 our of 900 (needed 720). I could have done better but man was I nervous.
@ JeromeThis Dump Is Still Valid! Got about 60% from here, butr questions were a little bit changed. that's why i would suggest not only studying this dump but also prescribed books. i also got 4 Simulation questions.
Passed today with 780. About 40% of the questions are from here. Few of them are just worded diffrerently. As long as you do these samples and have a basic understanding of all the acroynoms. You will do just fine. I just studied for about 4 days. If I can pass so can you.
I've just passed in the UK today with 835. I'd say at least 60% of the questions were in this dump.
Using this before the exam helped me realise which subjects I wasn't strong on (or in some cases, even aware of!), and so I could study accordingly.
Many thanks to the guys mentioning the sims. I was able to brush up on those subjects in time and so they were easier to deal with.
Enable/disable switch ports after power outage
Cable testing, then wiring config
WAP placements and encryption
Thanks again, and good luck to everyone.
hi unknown from South Africa thanks for your input could you please advise what other material you used to study. I will be writing my exams soon in South Africa and i will let your guys know how it goes.
Hi guys. Passed today with 789. This dump is valid in SA for about 60 percent. The dump will help you pass but i suggest going over some other materials too
What version off Visual certexam are you guys using i cant open it with the version 1.9.987 thanks
Passed today 804/900.Same sims like below.Dump valid in 50 %(word by word).Used Professor Messer videos and this dump.
Passed the test with an 814. Used primary this dump and some other study books.
I passed but in the middle 700 range. Port numbers got me. Between endless acronyms and not one, but possibly 2 or more port numbers for various protocols it seemed my exam was loaded towards that end. I would say the sim's were identical to those listed below - cable test w/ matching up the colors, configure wireless network between two buildings, and a router that had lost power connected to three switches. But for the sake of passing, it's done. I should have changed spent more time memorizing things I could Google like obscure port numbers or acronyms. /shrug I would say my version of the test was MAYBE 10-15% representive of this Dump.
I took the certification exam today and passed with a score of 814. I primarily studied with Todd Lammle's Deluxe Net+ Study Guide, this dump, and the professor messor videos. I would like to thank everyone on this forum for posting results and I urge everyone to keep doing just that when they test. This dump was around 70% valid, so make sure you study other things. Also there were 4 sims at the start and they were.
1) configuring access points (in 2 buildings)
2) verifying whether a cable works and then wiring order of T568B
3) re-connecting of switching loop after crash and no internet
4) Drop down matching of troubleshooting methodology
Good luck to everyone
DB - When do you take the test? please post results.
I take the test this friday and will share my results..
Hi Bill I also live in South Africa. Im not sure if this Dump is valid here but could you please post and let us know once you have done your exam.
I leave In South Africa and would like to know if this dump is still valid! i m taking my exams next week. i would also would like to know a textbook to use for my studying.
I'm scheduled to sit for this exam soon, been using a combination of Prof Messer videos and the recent edition of the Net+ book and a whole lot of cramming. That being said it's time to build stamina for the test. Does anyone from the US know how valid this dump still is? Anyone taking it within the last 30 days at anyrate?
this dump is so good,i got 90% from this dump in Bangalore through .
indian be aware ..this dumps are valid for US students only.
question sets are differ for indian.
appear today there are only 10 -12 questions from this dump .thank god i do prepare my notes too.
kai ,can you tell me your email address, and how much was d level of from dump.
This dump is VERY helpful. Took the exam this morning (4/4/2013( and passed - score: 846. The same 4 sims as Funguz. Thanks for sharing.
MY TWO FRIEND TOOK EXAM TODAY AND GOT 40% THROUGH THIS DUMP,SO IN OVERALL DEPEND ON BOOKS TOO.,WELL THIS FRIDAY I AM GOING GIVE THIS LETS SEE D LUCK .,THANKS LEXXO THAN TOO.
This dump helped a lot. Although in the very beginning, there was some virtual questions where I had to differ the connector type, 'configure' a wireless network between two buildings, set the colorful wires, etc. Around 5 if I remember correctly while there was only 75 questions for multiple choice. Thus, a total of 80 questions on the exam.
I saw a lot of questions similar to Lexxo's dump and I would say somewhere between 80-95%. Of course, it REALLY depends on your luck and thank god that I did some extra studying just to play it safe. Use this dump to your advantage but don't be afraid to study from the book as well.
took the exam got a 754. lex's dump is 40, maybe 50% of the exam out of 80 questions. maybe its different in the states compared to other countries, maybe its the luck of the draw as to what exam you get. I certainly didnt get 70-90% of this dump on my exam i was sweating bullets.
Today I pass with 776, thanks a lot lexxo , this dump is valid 80% - 90% , the passing score is 720, I suggest study this dump, conscientiously use full wikipedia a see profesor messer,
4 simulation 1. troubleshooting step 2. three switches disable cable 3. network tool , I think use cable certifier. 4. configurating wireless router the number two has bad configuration
valid to Pearson VUE!
Do any of the dumps have any of the new simulations that my students get familiar with? Thanks, Coop
Naw man, I've relied on this site for my Security+, A+, and 3 other MS certs. So I totally respect the dumps here. Just didn't remember seeing the questions. I'm taking my CCNA this thursday, hopefully i'll see many of the questions, not like my first Network+ attempt.
Chillisock7 so how do you fix switching loops??
Hey passed today in Somerset West ZA with 96% today using this dump, cbt nuggets and professor messor vids, authorised cert guide n10-005 book. Dump for me was about 90% relevant word for word. Also got the sims with the wireless network, cable tester, colour codes for straight cat cable, fix switching loop by disabling ports. Thanks so much guys!!!!!!!! =D
Took the test today, got a 793/900. 4 sims to start right off, wiring, ap question, switch loop, and troubleshooting method. 80 questions. I only used anon dump, never looked at lex's. I would say 40 of the 80 were almost identical if not identical. The other 40 were totally different. You do get your picture taken as well. My advice is as follows: if you have 0 puter knowledge and think you can study THIS dump and pass, no way, impossible. You have to have some sort of IT background, study guide, etc. Best of luck to all future test takers.
funguz you said you didnt see the telco connection ends at the demarc question. that was part of the 789 questions. seems to me you are throwing people off and getting them scared. maybe your against dumps.
i just took the test. passed with 724. i wasn't happy with my score but i passed. i saw about 60% of questions from this dump and the same 4 sim questions. i had at least 10 question i didn't know which answers to select. well it's water under the bridge. Moving on to Security +
I just did the test $261 later, I can go and F**k myself to celebrate/ I passed.
hands on: cable certifier( cable doesn't work) then you'll have to wire it to the B standard.
Troubleshooting 7 steps, and last one was 3 wap in a building.
Dump help me to pass for sure, its 50%-60% valid.
Did you study lex dump, anonymous dump or both? I guess its luck of the draw. Some people say they had 90% word for word, others like you said 90% you never seen. It makes me wonder who to believe and who not to believe. I have no reason to BS and I will be taking my exam soon. I will report back. I ONLY studied the 789 questions from anonymous, never even looked at lex dump. Again, I also took a bootcamp and have a CS degree so this isnt all so new that I never seen the OSI model or anything. The sims I have down pat, at least 6 of them that were mentioned. So, hopefully I do get them. Out of the 789 questions, I would say I get over 700 correct. I will report back as soon as I get home from the exam.
Mike, there were at least 8-10 questions on my retake concerning OSI model and which resides on it. Like which layer does MPLS reside on (2 & 3). Another question which I didn't have on my first attempt: Location where the Telco wiring stops and the clients starts--demarc.Good Luck!!
Mike, so I had my retake, this time the questions almost 90% to what I studied for, 940 and passed with flying colors. It's definitely luck of the draw, but through all my certifications, I've never had such a deviation from the dumps as I did during the first attempt!! A+, Security+, Network+, ..now on the the CCNA!!!
I have been monitoring the Network+ 005 forum and wanted to thank you all, because I took the exam last Thursday and passed with 793 score. I begun studying around the middle of February and got up last Thursday morning and decided to just go and take the test. Well, I passed THANKS TO THIS forum I'm so happy I just wanted to reach out to the group and thank them for all what they mentioned. I'm now onto Security+. I saw 60% off the questions and the sims were all what you all mentioned.
Sorry Funguz, don't worry you will get it next time.
Thank you for the heads up. I think its just a luck of a draw.
I'm taking my test in 3 to 5 days. I study 3 different dumps (2397 questions), I got todd lammles book and review guide and videos (CBT nuggets).
If you can post anything else that can help to pass, please do.
Not sure about everyone else, took exam on 3-24-13, studied using this dump and Anon, only had 6 QUESTIONS on my exam from both dumps!! There were 2 or 3 that were re-worded, but almost 90% of the questions I didn't even recognize. So I was reasoned through and scored, but failed, a 697--missed it by two questions.
1) configuring access points (in 2 buildings)
2) verifying whether a cable works and then wiring order of T568B
3) re-connecting of switching loop after crash and no internet
4) Drop down matching of troubleshooting methodology
Took the exam 2 days ago, this dump is about 80% valid. The 4 sims are:
1. What tool do you use to test the cable and does the cable work? (Cable certifier and no it doesn't work)
2. Wire T568B cable
3. Setup wifi in 2 buildings, choose the encryption type and antenna type
4. Identify fiber cables: ST, SC, FC, LC
I passed with 793!!!! Had the 3 sims discussed, see Frycook below. An area I should have studied more was Network Protocols. This dump helped me to prepare for the exam. On to Security+. Good luck all.
Just Took the exam and Got 793.. Well very useful Dump.. 70% were from here and Annonymus Dump . Got the same 4 sims in the beginning. I just flagged and moved on with the rest and Did at the end I dont have a Hands on Experiance .. WAP setup, 8 Troubleshooting methodology ,Cat T568B and cable tester/certifier Senario. Well I am not sure I cracked any of The sims But I made it through with the Dump & Professor Messer Videos. Wish You all GL
Still a valid dump. I just took the test this morning and pass with 772. The test was only 80 questions to include the simulations mentioned before. Not bad after only four days of studying in the evenings.
Canada - Took the exam today, 65-70% of the questions are from here.
VALID DUMP AS OF A FEW WEEKS AGO.
Did N10-005 exam in February, only got 2 questions wrong, scored 88n out of 900. Only 3 - 5 questions not in the dump word-for-word but had differently worded questions.
Sims were setting up 3 WAPs & switch (mentioned in the comments), wiring T568B cable, and identifying fiber optic connections.
Thank you, I'm taking the exam next week
Took exam this morning (March 4, 2013) in Canada, dump totally valid, same simulation problems mentioned below, passed in the mid-800's. I studied with exam cram, mike meyers all-in-one, and this dump. By far this dump has helped me the most pass the exam out of all 3 resources.
About 75%-80% of the questions are on the exam word for word. Can't remember too many of the new questions, I believe one was along the lines of "You have received alerts notifying you that your network is undergoing a buffer overflow attack. What would you view to validate these alerts?" And the answers were:
a) SNMP traffic
b) IDS logs
c) some unrelated acronym like NTP
d) another unrelated acronym
I answered with IDS logs, I could have been wrong, but I believe that was the best answer.
Invalid dump 5% questions came up.
Hello matt138, did you study the entire dump or just one of them? For instance, did you study A-H or just A?
This dump helps but it will NOT teach you everything for the test.
took the test 3/1/13 in America and passed with 784 but i work in this field and know a lot of it from experience.
Passed today with 804. Still valid. About 75-85% of the questions were word for word. Used this dump, wikibooks, and Professor Messer youtube videos to study. Same sims as everyone else has reported.
Passed yesterday with 784/900 (did better than expected) - still valid VCE.
-4 sim questions: 8 troubleshooting steps, wire T568B, setup wifi for 2 buildings, question about which tool to use (cable certifier I believe)
-80 multiple choice questions: no questions requiring me to calculate subnets which I expected to see
yes i did 755 pass thank you ..........
Passed, got over 800. Know your stuff and you'll be ok. I studied exam cram and took notes and researched Wikipedia for when I needed more info. This is way easier than security+ !
568B: Stripes first.. orange, split the green, flip the blue, brown.
Feb 22 2012 still very valid, many/most are word-for-word. Had 4 sims (WAP antenna types and encryption, troubleshooting steps drag-and-drop, cable test & wire order, 3 switch loop). My WAP antenna type question started frozen (nothing clickable), and I had to hit the Reset button to restart the question. On the cable order, the pins are numbered so you don't have to worry about orientation. Shot through in 30 mins, passed 835.
Passed the NET+ exam jk-019 yesterday 804/900. Was pretty easy with all the info on this dump. I would say at least 85% of the questions are on this test. 80 questions, 4 Sims. Most of the Sims as everyone else is getting, are the same. Study the questions & the examples everyone else is giving on how to solve the Sims and you should be good to go. There is a sim that gives you some kind of blueprint about 2 buildings the need wireless. It has 4 WAP, one of them have to be open to the guess customes. Know your wireless encryption WELL.
I also studied the NET+ Passport, one chapter per day to get some general knowledge. Then I took one test per day & reviewed. I learned the most from this dump though. Correlating the question with the solution is very helpful in understanding how something works. If I got a wrong answer or didn't know why I answered one correctly, I would look it up in the book or online to figure it out.
Did you just study this dump?
Passed the NET+ exam yesterday 846/900. Was pretty easy with all the info on this dump. I would say at least 70% of the questions are on this test. 80 questions, 4 Sims. Same Sims as everyone else is getting, study the questions & the examples everyone else is giving on how to solve the Sims and you should be good to go...For now.
1. Three APs. Same as the rest below.
2. Click to enable/disable ports on three switches. I believe the two connected ports/switches in the middle are creating a loop.
3. Troubleshooting steps, 8 drag & drop.
4. Cable problems, select correct tool TDR or cable certifier, answer a question, order the wires correctly into a RJ-45 connector - T568B.
So Frank, what dumps did you study? Or did you already know the content?
Just took the exam two hours ago. Passed 846/900. Only about 30% of the questions from the exam are in this dump. 5 simulation questions and 80 questions total. If you plan on only studying this dump, you are most likely going to fail.
sorry 701 and 702 lol. i know that exam done in Aug, but i still want to get it before that..
i'm doing net+ first, but the A+, did you just do the dump and passed. I do have exerience for A+, I'm just wondring if i should even buy a book, or just do or buy the dumps for 601 and 602.
I would really appreciate any feedback from anyone who has taken the exam after eburger. I am studying just this dump and am currently hitting 75% before taking the test next week. If it has really changed I will postpone. I did the A+ last week and it was easy - but this is not!
Took the exam this morning, my exam was much like the one confused took on the 10th. I had 4 performance questions, and 80 questions. I studied this entire dump all 789 questions more than once etc. I scored a 886/900. I want to say about 50-60% of the questions were word for word. I did the security+ test a week ago, and scored almost perfect on it too. but it was word for word on every question. I believe the questions are starting to change.
my performance questions:
1. Something stops working, order 7-8 steps you take to go about troubleshooting/fixing it. drag and drop
2. the AP one that people have talked about, configure the 2nd one change the channel etc.
3. three switches, disable/enable cables
4. the cable with 5/6 showing a short
I just took the test on the 7th of this month and I have a question when I took the test I olny had 80 questions when I forgot to ask the man why I only had 80 questions before I left cause I was bummed out cause I came so close to passing the test I had about 5 sims questions and 3 of them were very confusing they but any way I feel if I had the 20 more or even 10 I would have passed I'm waiting to hear from CompTia but has anyone every had that problem Thank You
Dump still valid. Passed 850/900 today. 3 simulation questions, 1 regarding reconfiguring a switch after loss of power, 1 putting the colors of a t568b cable in order, and the last was setting up an unsecured wireless connection in one building with directional antennas/a secured connection in another building using an omnidirectional antenna.
Dump still valid, passed today Feb 4, 2013
Simulations were 568b arrangement, configure AP2 to channel 6 and set speed ect, and type of fiber connectors drag and drop =) goodluck all
Still completely valid. Passed my exam on January 30th with 889900
Not a single question on the exam that wasn't included in this or Bawlsdeep's dump
3) Arrange Twisted Pair wires from T568A to T568B
2) 1 of three existing WAPs has been replaced and is causing troubles, reconfigure the WAPs to resolve the issue
3) Match the pictures of fiber connections to their names
Hi all, I am new to all this and would like to bore you all with 1 simple question. Why have i got an option to select from Exam A through to H? Are all these different variations of the exam or is it all 1 exam broken into smaller parts? Any further info a newbie might like to know would of course be appreciated! Cheers guys.
Passed today!! This dump is the only dump I used. I did use PM videos and youtube. But this dump is pretty much spot on. Probably only had like 3 questions that may not of been on the dump. Had three sims at the beginning. Pretty much the same SIMS at Nighthawk (WAP replacement, fiber connector id, 568B cable drag and drop).
when I download and run the Lexxo VCE in the Visual CertExam Suite, the test comes up as N10-004 not 005, why???
For question 57 on exam C..00:12:34:56:78 can be used in which of the following? Should the CORRECT answer be MAC Filtering and NOT WPA-PSK password.
Bob. Security+ for me next, then hopefully CCNA. All the best with your exam mate.
Nighthawk..thanks for the input. I plan on taking the exam at the end of the week..maybe Thursday or Friday. Right now I am going through my third review of the exam. Yesterday I passed all exams between an 800s and 900s. Took first 100 just now and only missed two question. Whats next for you?
@Bob, when the exam begins you will get 3 simulation questions. unfortunatly there is no guide to which you can follow for them plus they are randomised, so there are no guarantees that you will get the same i did.
In regards to the Lexxo exams i only revised the first 6 out of 8 exams, which on the exam consisted of a mixture from there, however the safest option would be to revise the whole 8 to guarantee yourself a pass and get a top mark. if you download lexxos papers and parafashion through the questions you may be ok, but the best thing would be to understand each question and answer for e.g. what the differences are between 802.11 technologies as you will get a random selection on your test day. Hope that helps
NIGHTHAWK..can you elaborate on the revisions that were needed? Q number and the correct answer.
Other than the simulation questions, if you revise lexxos paper you will have no issues. I passed with an 808 by revising 6 out of the 8 exams. every question that i had was in this download.
Hey T, what about the questions? Were they easy?
Exam is still valid as of now, passed with 872 out of 900.
Thank you so much for your comments guys. It's always very important for all of us to know what we are going to face when taking an exam like Network+. I have been studying hard for the past three weeks, not to mention I'm repeatedly taking the exams one after another, non-stop. I've been scoring 910, 940 and even 970 sometimes.
Realistically, most of my questions came from the last 3 exams. However, the rest were varied throughout the rest. The day before I took the test, I took all of these exams repeatedly until I scored a 95% on the dumps. Long day, but it paid off in the end :) I saw a few new questions but nothign bad. It literally took me like 20 minutes for all 90 questions.
@networkguy its random questions , i suggest u study all
Thanks a lot for all the comments I've been seeing here. One thing, though, it's still not clear to me. You guys are posting comments about the fact that this dump is valid, however no one is talking about which one of the 8 exams are more likely to be faced when taking the exam.
jus did it got 893 , 100% valid
Tested this morning and passed with an 883 and studied ONLY this dump.. There are three SIM questions and they seem to vary from test to test based on what I'm reading here, my SIMS were not the same as others. Still easy though. The SIMS on my test consisted of:
1) Arrange the troubleshooting steps in the appropriate order
2) Enable/Disable appropriate ports on several switches after a power outage
3) Setup a wireless network for two buildings with the correct directional antennas and security.
Other than the SIMS, everything you need is in the dump to pass the test with ease! Good Luck
John Smith - good job. I hope to take it next Friday. What subject matter did you see the most of? What simulations?
Hey guys, I just took the N+ yesterday. I figured all of these comments were fake but I still used the exams Lol. I passed with an 875/900. I studied these exams, most of which coming from the last 3. Just forewarned, the Fiber optic simulation question is in black/white. Real easy shit though. I noticed a vast majority of the questions on the test were from these ones. Just study this dump and google what you don't know. I could see a complete noob passing in 2-3 weeks at most.
This dump is still valid in Canada, Saskatchewan. Took the test today and passed with a 805. I also recommend looking for questions with the person named "Karen" ex. Karen, A networking technician.. noticed at least 20 or so questions like that.
This dump is valid in South Africa 100%
dump still good took exam this morning got 889 of 900!
thank your Chuck- Bill and others for all the comments about exams.
but please for those who haven't sat it yet, remember the questions thar are not in this dump. there are just 3 to 5 at most. it doesn't take a lot :D
WIll..what sims did you have? What was most of your test questions centered around?
I am always on Professor Messer. Congrats Chuck!! I will take your advice. Thanks for your input.
Sat this exam today after using this VCE and browsing through exam cram e-book as preparation. Passed with 872. I maybe went through half of the 800 questions on the VCE. Have a ton of real world experience to help. Actually took the JK0-019 version but it doesn't matter, majority of the questions still the same.
Just to let you guys know, i've just passed the exam. scored 900 :) studied the "Authorized Cert Guide for N10-005" book and this dump. (still valid)
I only had 2 or 3 questions that I haven't seen on this dump.
For the sim questions, i've got exactly what "Heroic_Frycook" got.
1) 1-3 APs, 2 has been replaced and network stopped working
Solution: Change 2nd AP to Full Duplex, 100mbps, channel 6 and to 802.11G.
2) Cables were tested and results are given to you, you have to determine whether cables are sorted correctly, once you choose no, you need to re-arrange T568B cabling (orange/white, orange, green/white, blue, blue/white, green, brown/white, brown)
3) and fiber connected.. match connectors with pictures.
I think there was 5, ST SC LC(single), LC (Double) and i forgot :)
Study these questions, know them by heart.. read what people are getting as for sim questions (know the answers, it helps) and watch (http://www.professormesser.com/n10-005/fiber-connectors/) for the connectors, you will pass :)
Good luck and thank you for all help
I want to thank everyone for good information on the exam. I will be taking my exam tomorrow and I feel more then ready for it apart from sim questions. Is there website or any other source you guys would recommend to see example sim questions I could be answering tomorrow?
So far, from what you guys been posting, im making sure i know..
- APs (inc. antenna types and encryption methods)
Mike - thanks for the information!!! I am hoping to take my exam in the next couple weeks and will look hard at this dump. I completed the PM videos recently.
THIS DUMP IS STILL VALID, JUST TOOK THE EXAM TODAY AND GOT A 889 OUT OF 900. ASIDE FROM THE SIM QUESTIONS I WOULD SAY THAT THERE WERE MAYBE 2 OR QUESTIONS NOT ON THE DUMP WHICH I CANT REMEMBER. HOWEVER THE QUESTIONS WERE FAIRLY EASY BECAUSE THEY WERE SIMILAR TO THE ONES ON THE DUMP.
@ tast takers
i registered for the exam in the next week.
to those who are going to take it in the next week, please if you have time and will be possible, remember the 2 or 3 questions that are not on this dump and share it with us.
sim questions are fully described here. i think questions which are not in, would be more useful
thank you and good luck
The N+ was the first exam i been asked to do. I do not know anything about the JK09 exam. Sorry
Guys, could you please let us know if this dump is still valid? I keep seeing you guys discussing about the new exam, however I do not see anybody stating that this file is valid.
thank you everybody
as you are a pearsonvue proctor, do you know or can guess based on your experience that how often they will change the exam questions ?
I used this exact dump for revision for the exam.
danial, im a pearsonvue proctor and JKO is basically you paying for a practice test. it will not certify you i have many people come and take the test one today even and he said he used this dumb and he passed in the 870's
jk0-019 I believe is Network + BUT its for education institute pricing.
@ Marcus - Bill and everybody else
could you tell me the difference between jk0-019 and network+ ?
it seems this dump is valid for both of them but they have different prices.
if the credibility is the same, i will choose jk0-019 which is cheaper.
Marcus - just so I understand, did you use just THIS dump from the ones listed here? I have been studying for a few weeks and wanted to find a very valid dump on here.
I did revise all 8 exams and some book related text. But nearly everything you need is in the 8 exams. In the exams there are a 100 questions per exam, but the actual test was 90. Most of my questions were on wifi, security, DNS, Firewalls and methods of troubleshooting.
Good luck with your exam.
Chuck and everybody else:
I took the test back on 2 Jan (look up "JoMomma") and while I'm not sure if anything change since then I personally think that Josh said that to scared people. I personally believe the net + exam has had few changes but nothing big..I think you will pass the exam if you study it..I studied Lexxo when he/she posted his dump around Aug or Oct, I don't remember, but by the time I took my test Jan 2 it was still good. I think ur only chances of failing is if they change it from N10-005 to N10-006.
Thanx Marcus for confirming. I will be taking the exam next week so Im glad someone confirmed. Did you revise for all 8 exams? where was most questions from?
Took the exam today. Dump is still valid. Got 872 out 900. Had 3 sim questions at the beginning.
1) 3 APs and number 2 is not working - Solution configure AP2 to G, channel 6 & set the speed 100mb Full Duplex
2) Correctly wire a RJ-45 cable - Put the correct coloured wires in the crimp
3) Put the correct types of connectors with the words.
I was able to speak to a represenative from passguide and she couldn't give me a solid answer. All she said was to download the latest update. When I asked her if there were drastic changes she said, and I quote "I THINK SO". I really don't know what to make of that. I think maybe the dump should still be valid with some of the questions updated.
@ mike C
i am talking about 801 and 802 .
by the way, passguide says when there is a change on the test, we will update is ASAP, and when we see their the update date, it's January 3rd .
but some people said they pass and it is 100% on January 8th.
how could it be possible ?
your comparing a 2 month old A+ 801? Go look at the old 701 test, its got 700+
i think they valid based on 3 reasons
1 . A+ just have 274 questions and is still valid, but n + with 879 questions is not ?
2) passguide sent to me and said there is no exact time for update. i don't know how people got 150 days ? :)))
3) passguide if update even 1 question, it changes the update date
Yea it would be nice to know if these questions are no longer valid because I will be taking the exam next Wednesday and I don't wan't to be studying questions that won't even be on test no more. I also checked the passguide website and noticed that they updated their questions on the 3rd of this month. And being that they update their questions every 150 days I wonder if these are still valid.. Does anyone know of another dump on here that is up to date??
I contacted passguide.com for verification but haven't heard back from them. will post if I get an update but I doubt they can answer either.
Hi all.. I'm looking to take the exam Monday so done a little research regarding what "josh" said about questions no longer being valid. The passguide website for N10-005 (Comptia Network+) exam shows that the last update was on the 3rd of Jan 2013. Can anyone confirm that questions for this dump are definitely NOT valid anymore?
@ josh, it's hard to believe that the test changed from one day to another, some of the commenters are saying they took the exam yesterday and the day before and the dump was still valid then. Did you study all the 789 questions thouroughly?? I'm just curious because I will be taking the exam within the week.
@ JOSH, are you serious?? Were the questions at least similar? Which form of the exam did you take?
no longer valid. a few of these questions were on the test, but mostly new questions.
Just took the JK0-019 exam today and this dump is 100% valid for that as well. Passed with an 829. I saw only a few questions on the exam that were not in this dump
Still valid, received no simulation questions this morning thanks
Just took this exam and its 100% valid here in Lincoln, Ne at SCC. There are three simulation questions that are not on this VCE.
Valid Dump..Took the exam this morning. Had the same simulated questions as @ Heroic_Frycook but the sim about wiring they asked me for 568B
As of Jan 2, 2013 I passed with a 768 score. This dump is 90% valid..I studied all 789 questions. Besides the 3 sims I saw only two questions I didn't recognize. I started studying this dump because I studied ExamCram and that book did not prepare me for the questions that was asked on the test. So I studied this dump and even though I was nervous about failing I felt confidence enough to know that if I failed again I'll pass again the 3rd time. U will pass the exam if you study this dump period, u don't have to worry about if u get 90% on your practice exams, as long as your familiar with the questions and answers you'll be fine.
Helpful dumb, spot on! Still very valid.
I realy so happy with all of your support and a appreciate it.
I PASSED yeterday with 808 while I finished just about 500 questions from this dump. and also a support from www.professormessor.com.
THANK YOU All.
The modified and unknown questions all felt familiar. Not too tough. It's all dump-related for sure.
Of course I can't guarantee anybody passing. But I'll give you my MO for preparation: Watch N+ CBT Nuggets videos, skim a few hundred pages of an N+ textbook, study dump. When you come across unfamiliar questions in the dump, have 2 pdf n+ textbooks handy, and search for the concepts you are unfamiliar with. When finished taking all practice exams in the dump, study dump 2nd time.
Once you can pass all practice exams in dump scoring 90% or better, you are ready. Lexxo dump is the only dump I studied, it is spot on.
@ Anongoliant .
how were the reworded questions and answers in a different orders and 3-4 questions that you did not recognized ?
were they confusing and tricky or they were all from this dump but in a different form ?
i mean if i study this dump, will i pass for sure based on your experience ?
1) sorry, the "changes to documentation" was unclear. i mean steps 1 to 7.
3) sorry this one is hard to explain briefly. Forget about all the hosts connected to the switches, they should all stay "on". Router connects to switch 1. 1 connects to 2 and 3. And switch 2 connects to 3, creating the loop. Turn off the ports for the cable between switch 2 & 3 to eliminate the loop.
i didn't get sim Number 1 and 3. could explain more what them ?
1) changes to documentation ?
i just know 7 steps. 1- identifying problem .... 7) . documentation
3) disable the 2 ports between the 2 switches ?
two switches are connected with home many ports which we should disable the 2 ports between the 2 switches ?
passed exam today, 12/27/12, 893/900. This dump is ~90-95% valid as of today. Some questions were reworded, and some others had answers in a different order, and i did not recognize 3-4 questions at all.
1) Organize the troubleshooting scientific method from start to end. From asking about changes to documentation, know them all, and their order. You will need to know them.
2) WAP setup. You must configure 5 WAP's in 2 buildings. The configs you can make are: Antennae type, and encryption method. In building A, WAP's 1-3 should have no encryption, omni. 4-5 external WAP's are directional, WPA2-CCMP (not TKIP!!) between the 2 buildings 2500 feet apart.
3) Turn ports on/off for a network of 3 switches to a router that lost power(or something). It doesn't say anywhere that STP is enabled, so to be sure your config works: disable the 2 ports between the 2 switches that have no direct connection to the router, and prevent the loop.
That is all. Good luck.
its a configuration screen, not a command line interface, once you see it, its easy to set.
thank you soooo much for your help
clould you tell me the commands for setting the SSID and channels which u used for the sim 2 ?
ok took the exam today, passed in the high 800's, the dump is very valid, i only saw maybe 2-5 out of the 90 question pool that are not in the lexxo dump. saw 3 sim questions.
1. identify fiber optic connections. you have a picture of each on one and you drag and drop the name of connector. just watch professor messers video on fiber connections and you should be good. link below:
2. you have an office floor diagram with 3 WAP and a switch. scenario goes, everything was working before till you put the replaced the middle WAP. when you click on each WAP you will get a configuration sceen. solution is that you must click on each one and insure the following:
a. make sure that the channels dont over lap, the first one i set to channel 1, next channel 6 then the last channel 11.
b. make sure the SSID is the same for all
c. insure that the speed an duplexing is the same setting for all.
you do not have to do anything with the switch.
3. the third sim shows you a diagram of a patch cable splayed out and it seem that 5-6 wire has a short. you first have to choose the tool you diagnose the issue. (i got stumped on this one, i choose the cable certifier) if you click next you will be presented with a diagram and you are suppose to place the wires in the right connector. i believe your suppose to put it in T-568A order something like. green-white, green, orange-white, blue, blue-white, orange, brown-white, brown. i might have fuck up that sim but i think i got it right. i would study professor messers video on patch / crossover cable to get this one right and know which tools are used to diagnose what. link below:
anyway, i used this dump and studied professor messers videos. if you are consistently passing this dump and go thru prof. messers videos you should have no problems. good luck y'all
Hoss, reread the question carefully. It is not asking "which of these is wrong here?" It's asking what you should check and verify. You should absolutely verify that SSID is matching in this scenario.
Also, I'll be taking the exam this week, will post results.
Exam E, Q88 is incorrect.
Q: Two WAPs are positioned with overlapping coverage, but seamless roaming across them is not working. Which of the following should be checked?
A. WPA should be enabled
B. PKI should be turned off
C. WAP SSIDs are matching
D. WAPs are transmtiting on same channel
Test Answer: C
REAL Answer: D
Reason: If you configure roaming across WAP's, you WANT matching SSIDs!! You do not want the WAPs transmitting on the same channels! That's called interference.
Took on the 18th and got 100%. This file is completely valid. Had 3 sim questions. One to read a cable tester then to crimp a wire(I thought i got it wrong, but it must've fluked it or it didn't get marked. One was the wireless AP, just set to right channel and speed and you're done, and i can't remember the other one lol!
Took the test today in The Netherlands and scores 872 of 900. 90 questions and all from this dump.
This helped alot. Scored 808 on my cert. on December 13. Thx for the help!
I just took the cert. exam and this was pretty accurate to the contents of the test. If you can do well on this you'll almost certainly pass.
lexxo and anonymous are on point took my test today and passed with a 786 because I did half ass studying just try and do all the vce, i had maybe 10 question that was not on this
@ RAID66 and Sam K
Thanks men, I really Appreciate your help
but I am a bit confused about accomplishment with the wireless AP's and encryption methods to add and password protection. ( SIM 2 )
is it like changing WEP to WPA 2 and disabling SSID or .. ?
This dump is valid. Tested today in Germany and got a 859. The three SIM questions are all that weren't on the test. I found that most of my questions came from test D and E. The couple of questions that weren't listed, are pretty common sense and you should be able to figure them out pretty quickly on your own. Sam K is correct with the SIM questions, I had the same three. For SIM 1 they give you the 8 steps to troubleshoot a problem and you just need to put them in order. SIM 2 gives you four things to accomplish with the wireless AP's and what encryption method to add. SIM 3 Sam K already gave that answer.
The sim questions were:
1. Fixing procedure- identify the problem, establish plan of action, document findings but all 5/6 steps in ORDER.
2. two buildings and you need to set the correct WiFi standards and password protection.
3. Three switches, and u have to disconnect/disable the cable between switch 2 and 3. to get the connection to work correctly.
I PASSED TODAY WITH 847 100% VALID EXPECT 3 SIM QUESTIONS .
Took the Jk0-019 and had no SIM questions. I guess the Jk0-019 doesn't have simulations based on other people's responses.
All other questions were valid though, couldn't remember all the answers so ended up with 850/900
@ sam K
what were the sim questions about ?
I used this and anons. lexxos contains all of anons anyway.
Passed with 850/900. but they included 3 sim questions at the start. so watch out!
but like 60-80% valid.. i would watch messer vids too :)
could tell us about other sim questions ?
passed in the US. 859 was about 90% right on. a bunch of us had sim questions. one was a 3 switches and you had to turn the ports on and off but they were all on. not even sure what they wanted you to do.
Thanks man! Appreciate the help. Working fine now.
Was wondering if any1 could help. I cant open this dump for some reason. Says my player is to old but its the latest version and can open other dumps.
Any suggestions? writing my exam soon and this would really put my nerves at ease to run throught these questions
could you explain more about anten type ,securty, and signal transmission questions that you had ?
i passed with 872 same question but thre diffrent sim one about anten type ,securty, and signal transsmition
three switches conect together just disable the conetion between two and three to avoid loop
I just took this test today well the Jk0-019 test. There was NO sim questions and every single question came from this dump! I scored an 883 I didn't get perfect because I forgot some of the answers but knew that the question was in the dump.
companion video series to Pearson's N10-005 "Authorized Cert Guide"
Very valid. 893. Three sim questions.
Pass, 85-90% this dump, very useful. Thank you
I just took this today and it was spot on. There was one question that wasn't on here, so i only got a 893/900. Got the same exact sim questions but the first one can be tricky, the instructions aren't too clear. I only really figured out what to do because I read it here on a post.
Hi guys,i have a question. is there a difference between BK0-019 and N10-005 exam? In other words , doesn't matter which one you booked you will have the same test?
This dump is 100% valid, just PASSED 893/900. The was 3 simulation questions same as @MetalfaceVillain mentioned. Questions a phrased differently but if you know your Networks and do this dump you will Pass!.
i am going to to the test in the next two month. do you think this test will be valid until that time ?
I am afraid of registering and exactly 4 or 3 days before taking exam comptia change the questions and..
what is your opinion ?
Test still valid passed with 821.
hi everybody. Thank God, I passed Net+ on Saturday, November 24. The score was 889/900. This dump is 100% valid here, in Canada. I got 3 simulations, exact the same as MetalfaceVillain discribed below.
Hi Guys, please help, i want to write my N+,can i trust this "lexxo" dump, will it atleast have 90% of the questions.
do dis dump have the same questions like andrew , and if how many
go to filecrop.com and download the certexam version you need..as i have stated, it would probably be best if you just go ahead a purchase the program since you are getting so much out of this cert in the end.
the sim question on the exam is fairly easy dealing the the WAP.
An organization has introduced a new WAP into the office, users are experiencing connection issues. please identify the cause.
It will then have you go into the configuration of the WAPs and you will have to verify channel, duplex, IP etc.. you have to change the settings on WAP(b) out of WAP(a) WAP(b) WAP(c).. match all the speed settings and duplex and change the channel on WAP(b) to avoid interference.
@MetalfaceVillain : what was the sim question with WAPs ?
was it about placement of wap or .. ?
Passed the exam this morning..dump was 98% on point. 3 sim questions, one with WAPs, one configuring cable 568B standard, one identifying cable connectors. ST and FC look the same so watch out. studied the book and watched videos for 6 months on and off, full time job gives me a few hours at night to study, came across the dump and studying every single day for a week straight. studied all 780 questions, used Anonymous and Andrew dump to review.
Make sure you know the acronyms like IDS, RDP, IPS, STP..definitely know spanning tree and vlans..knowing the answers will not make you understand the concepts, if you are serious with making it a career, KNOW THE MATERIAL!! yes the dump will help you pass, and you most likely will pass as long as you study the questions, but dont be a dummy. I work in IT with so many ppl that have degrees and certs that dont know the first thing about networking and basic computer knowledge.
Off subject, but lexxo was right on with this dump, thanks a lot!!
PS: the certexam 3.0.1 is all over the internet..go to filecrop.com and get it.. you might want to do them a favor and just buy it, you get so much more in the end after you pass your exam. GOOD LUCK COMRADES!!
this dump updated on November 5th on passguide.com. plz lexxo post the updates soon. thank you
I just passed my test got 872 out of 900. This dump is 100% valid. I also want to know that where i can get dumps for MCITP Cert. i will really appreciate that. Thanks
Took the test today and got a 889 out of 900. This dump is 100% legit! There were no simulation questions either. Just use this dump, maybe anonymous' also.
Took the exam yesterday and got 755. Only did about 200 practice questions from this dump.
Thabang where di you take your exam ?
Thanks Thabang.. ;)
Phenyo i only used this dump its 100%
This dumb is 100% passed 814/900 thanks lexxo
Hi all ;
this dump is valid 100% , just passed today from Morocco,
yes this dump have the same questions as Andrews but in the exam you will find more questions that are in lexxo's dump.
thank you very much lexxo :)
good luck for who are awaiting
Does this dump have the same questions as Andrews???
Took the exam on the 4th. Studied only this dump. In and out in 15 minutes. Score was 859/900. Would've been higher if I didn't slack off with studying. No sim questions. Very valid. Make sure you actually understand the questions though.
I took my exam today score 814/900. Every single one of the questions was from this dump. Most of my questions came from Exam A. My test had the letter B on there. The questions I did miss weren't because they were not in this dump. I simply didn't remember the answer and selected the wrong one. Thanks Lennox this is an awesome dump!!!
This dump is EXTEMELY valid. I went through all 790 questions in 5 days, just took exam an hour ago. Had 100 questions on the exam, every single one of them was from this dump. Take the time to understand your acronyms, etc. Anything you don't know when going through the dump, take 5-10 mins to Google and read about it and you will do fine.
Test took 20 minutes, I got an 872 out of 900.
I thought LEXO includes Andrew's dump.
Passed the exam 15 mins ago. Used this dump and Andrew's. No sim questions
889/900 with this dump on November 2nd.
