For the Net+ study wireless standards. Study the OSI and what each one has in each layer. Then do a brain dump before starting the test before you forget. Dont spend to much time on the simulator questions go back to them for review at the end. And know ip address sub-net masking. wire pinout for a rj-45 will be good to know.

Well, I just got through reading all the comments about the exam and what each person faced for the SIMS questions. I have been studying for a month now and I feel that I know more than I did before. I still have a ways to go for understanding all aspects. In studying for the test, I have used several different resources to gain knowledge and applying what I have learned.
I am going to use this dump and I noted what SIMS I might come upon. Thanks.

Did the test on 24/05/13, Brazil.
All the dumps here are valid, some questions were the same work by word.
No doubt they helped a lot! I answered all the dump's 800 questions again and again.
Studied CBT nuggets videos and some network+ books.
Scored 835 out of 900.
Sims were:
1)to configure an AP at an office. there were 3 APs at an office, and users were complaining of bad connectivity.I changed the channels so they don't overlap;
2)Select the right sequence of the 568-b standard;
3)Enable and disable ports on a switch, because there is a loop on the network.
4)8 steps of troubleshooting, put them in order.

Thanks everybody for all comments and dumps, it really did the trick for me.

This was about 60% valid for me today. Not enough to pass by this alone.
I passed by studying the Network+ by Todd Lammle and then went through these questions.

Took the exam last April 22 and passed. had 4 sims:
1. configuring antenna signal and encryption between 2 buildings
2. reset port switch after power failure
3. identify which tool to use given a report and assessing if cable is working or not
4. network troubleshooting methodology.

exam questions were from the dump, thankfully. I studied the examcram and this dump.

Hi Guys took the exam today in South Africa passed with 784 the simulations are spot on these are the ones i had.

Sims I had:
1. Identify the Fibre connectors had FC ST LC and Dual LC
2. Kill the routing loop (disconnect the wire connected between switch 2 and 3)
here I disabled both the ports one on each switch was not too sure how to do it
and if it was rite as your guys should know that even if you disable one it will kill t the loop. ( Please advise if one or both ports should be disabled)
3. WAPs in two different buildings and you need to set them up (Directional signal from main building to the other with WAP and same encryption on each side, no security on the three WAPs in building because open guest accounts need to be active, limit the inside signal by using opposite directional att.'s on the walls and omni in the middle)

As everyone states this exam is about 60% go through all the questions have basic knowledged on networking some hands on experience and go through
other study material and you will be just fine, Thanks to all that have posted on this site.

I passed using this dump today 4/21/2013. I have to agree that this is about 60% valid. East Coast USA. Some questions were worded differently and the ones that were not on the test were easy enough with some secondary study material. I used the Todd Lammle study guide, this brain dump, and a few of the Prof. Messer videos. Though, I didn't find out about him until I was just about to take the test. I passed with an 825 our of 900 (needed 720). I could have done better but man was I nervous.

Passed today with 780. About 40% of the questions are from here. Few of them are just worded diffrerently. As long as you do these samples and have a basic understanding of all the acroynoms. You will do just fine. I just studied for about 4 days. If I can pass so can you.

I've just passed in the UK today with 835. I'd say at least 60% of the questions were in this dump.
Using this before the exam helped me realise which subjects I wasn't strong on (or in some cases, even aware of!), and so I could study accordingly.
Many thanks to the guys mentioning the sims. I was able to brush up on those subjects in time and so they were easier to deal with.
I got:
Enable/disable switch ports after power outage
Cable testing, then wiring config
WAP placements and encryption
Fibre connectors

Thanks again, and good luck to everyone.

I passed but in the middle 700 range. Port numbers got me. Between endless acronyms and not one, but possibly 2 or more port numbers for various protocols it seemed my exam was loaded towards that end. I would say the sim's were identical to those listed below - cable test w/ matching up the colors, configure wireless network between two buildings, and a router that had lost power connected to three switches. But for the sake of passing, it's done. I should have changed spent more time memorizing things I could Google like obscure port numbers or acronyms. /shrug I would say my version of the test was MAYBE 10-15% representive of this Dump.

I took the certification exam today and passed with a score of 814. I primarily studied with Todd Lammle's Deluxe Net+ Study Guide, this dump, and the professor messor videos. I would like to thank everyone on this forum for posting results and I urge everyone to keep doing just that when they test. This dump was around 70% valid, so make sure you study other things. Also there were 4 sims at the start and they were.

4 SIMS:
1) configuring access points (in 2 buildings)
2) verifying whether a cable works and then wiring order of T568B
3) re-connecting of switching loop after crash and no internet
4) Drop down matching of troubleshooting methodology

Good luck to everyone

This dump helped a lot. Although in the very beginning, there was some virtual questions where I had to differ the connector type, 'configure' a wireless network between two buildings, set the colorful wires, etc. Around 5 if I remember correctly while there was only 75 questions for multiple choice. Thus, a total of 80 questions on the exam.

I saw a lot of questions similar to Lexxo's dump and I would say somewhere between 80-95%. Of course, it REALLY depends on your luck and thank god that I did some extra studying just to play it safe. Use this dump to your advantage but don't be afraid to study from the book as well.

Thanks man!

Took the test today, got a 793/900. 4 sims to start right off, wiring, ap question, switch loop, and troubleshooting method. 80 questions. I only used anon dump, never looked at lex's. I would say 40 of the 80 were almost identical if not identical. The other 40 were totally different. You do get your picture taken as well. My advice is as follows: if you have 0 puter knowledge and think you can study THIS dump and pass, no way, impossible. You have to have some sort of IT background, study guide, etc. Best of luck to all future test takers.

Funguz,

Did you study lex dump, anonymous dump or both? I guess its luck of the draw. Some people say they had 90% word for word, others like you said 90% you never seen. It makes me wonder who to believe and who not to believe. I have no reason to BS and I will be taking my exam soon. I will report back. I ONLY studied the 789 questions from anonymous, never even looked at lex dump. Again, I also took a bootcamp and have a CS degree so this isnt all so new that I never seen the OSI model or anything. The sims I have down pat, at least 6 of them that were mentioned. So, hopefully I do get them. Out of the 789 questions, I would say I get over 700 correct. I will report back as soon as I get home from the exam.

There were 2 or 3 that were re-worded, but almost 90% of the questions I didn't even recognize. So I was reasoned through and scored, but failed, a 697--missed it by two questions.

4 SIMS:
1) configuring access points (in 2 buildings)

Took exam this morning (March 4, 2013) in Canada, dump totally valid, same simulation problems mentioned below, passed in the mid-800's. I studied with exam cram, mike meyers all-in-one, and this dump. By far this dump has helped me the most pass the exam out of all 3 resources.

About 75%-80% of the questions are on the exam word for word. Can't remember too many of the new questions, I believe one was along the lines of "You have received alerts notifying you that your network is undergoing a buffer overflow attack. What would you view to validate these alerts?" And the answers were:

a) SNMP traffic
b) IDS logs
c) some unrelated acronym like NTP
d) another unrelated acronym

I answered with IDS logs, I could have been wrong, but I believe that was the best answer.

Passed the NET+ exam jk-019 yesterday 804/900. Was pretty easy with all the info on this dump. I would say at least 85% of the questions are on this test. 80 questions, 4 Sims. Most of the Sims as everyone else is getting, are the same. Study the questions & the examples everyone else is giving on how to solve the Sims and you should be good to go. There is a sim that gives you some kind of blueprint about 2 buildings the need wireless. It has 4 WAP, one of them have to be open to the guess customes. Know your wireless encryption WELL.

I also studied the NET+ Passport, one chapter per day to get some general knowledge. Then I took one test per day & reviewed. I learned the most from this dump though. Correlating the question with the solution is very helpful in understanding how something works. If I got a wrong answer or didn't know why I answered one correctly, I would look it up in the book or online to figure it out.

Passed the NET+ exam yesterday 846/900. Was pretty easy with all the info on this dump. I would say at least 70% of the questions are on this test. 80 questions, 4 Sims. Same Sims as everyone else is getting, study the questions & the examples everyone else is giving on how to solve the Sims and you should be good to go...For now.

SIMS
1. Three APs. Same as the rest below.
2. Click to enable/disable ports on three switches. I believe the two connected ports/switches in the middle are creating a loop.
3. Troubleshooting steps, 8 drag & drop.
4. Cable problems, select correct tool TDR or cable certifier, answer a question, order the wires correctly into a RJ-45 connector - T568B.

Took the exam this morning, my exam was much like the one confused took on the 10th. I had 4 performance questions, and 80 questions. I studied this entire dump all 789 questions more than once etc. I scored a 886/900. I want to say about 50-60% of the questions were word for word. I did the security+ test a week ago, and scored almost perfect on it too. but it was word for word on every question. I believe the questions are starting to change.

my performance questions:
1. Something stops working, order 7-8 steps you take to go about troubleshooting/fixing it. drag and drop
2. the AP one that people have talked about, configure the 2nd one change the channel etc.
3. three switches, disable/enable cables
4. the cable with 5/6 showing a short

@Bob, when the exam begins you will get 3 simulation questions. unfortunatly there is no guide to which you can follow for them plus they are randomised, so there are no guarantees that you will get the same i did.
In regards to the Lexxo exams i only revised the first 6 out of 8 exams, which on the exam consisted of a mixture from there, however the safest option would be to revise the whole 8 to guarantee yourself a pass and get a top mark. if you download lexxos papers and parafashion through the questions you may be ok, but the best thing would be to understand each question and answer for e.g. what the differences are between 802.11 technologies as you will get a random selection on your test day. Hope that helps

Tested this morning and passed with an 883 and studied ONLY this dump.. There are three SIM questions and they seem to vary from test to test based on what I'm reading here, my SIMS were not the same as others. Still easy though. The SIMS on my test consisted of:

1) Arrange the troubleshooting steps in the appropriate order
2) Enable/Disable appropriate ports on several switches after a power outage
3) Setup a wireless network for two buildings with the correct directional antennas and security.

Other than the SIMS, everything you need is in the dump to pass the test with ease! Good Luck

Just to let you guys know, i've just passed the exam. scored 900 :) studied the "Authorized Cert Guide for N10-005" book and this dump. (still valid)
I only had 2 or 3 questions that I haven't seen on this dump.
For the sim questions, i've got exactly what "Heroic_Frycook" got.
1) 1-3 APs, 2 has been replaced and network stopped working
Solution: Change 2nd AP to Full Duplex, 100mbps, channel 6 and to 802.11G.
2) Cables were tested and results are given to you, you have to determine whether cables are sorted correctly, once you choose no, you need to re-arrange T568B cabling (orange/white, orange, green/white, blue, blue/white, green, brown/white, brown)
3) and fiber connected.. match connectors with pictures.
I think there was 5, ST SC LC(single), LC (Double) and i forgot :)

Study these questions, know them by heart.. read what people are getting as for sim questions (know the answers, it helps) and watch (http://www.professormesser.com/n10-005/fiber-connectors/) for the connectors, you will pass :)
Good luck and thank you for all help

I did revise all 8 exams and some book related text. But nearly everything you need is in the 8 exams. In the exams there are a 100 questions per exam, but the actual test was 90. Most of my questions were on wifi, security, DNS, Firewalls and methods of troubleshooting.

I took the test back on 2 Jan (look up "JoMomma") and while I'm not sure if anything change since then I personally think that Josh said that to scared people. I personally believe the net + exam has had few changes but nothing big..I think you will pass the exam if you study it..I studied Lexxo when he/she posted his dump around Aug or Oct, I don't remember, but by the time I took my test Jan 2 it was still good. @danial
The modified and unknown questions all felt familiar. Not too tough. It's all dump-related for sure.
Of course I can't guarantee anybody passing. But I'll give you my MO for preparation: Watch N+ CBT Nuggets videos, skim a few hundred pages of an N+ textbook, study dump. When you come across unfamiliar questions in the dump, have 2 pdf n+ textbooks handy, and search for the concepts you are unfamiliar with. When finished taking all practice exams in the dump, study dump 2nd time.
Once you can pass all practice exams in dump scoring 90% or better, you are ready. Lexxo dump is the only dump I studied, it is spot on.

@ Anongoliant .
how were the reworded questions and answers in a different orders and 3-4 questions that you did not recognized ?

were they confusing and tricky or they were all from this dump but in a different form ?

i mean if i study this dump, will i pass for sure based on your experience ?

thank you

@jason:
1) sorry, the "changes to documentation" was unclear. i mean steps 1 to 7.
3) sorry this one is hard to explain briefly. Forget about all the hosts connected to the switches, they should all stay "on". Router connects to switch 1. 1 connects to 2 and 3. And switch 2 connects to 3, creating the loop. Turn off the ports for the cable between switch 2 & 3 to eliminate the loop.

i didn't get sim Number 1 and 3. could explain more what them ?

1) changes to documentation ?
i just know 7 steps. 1- identifying problem .... 7) . documentation

3) disable the 2 ports between the 2 switches ?
two switches are connected with home many ports which we should disable the 2 ports between the 2 switches ?

passed exam today, 12/27/12, 893/900. This dump is ~90-95% valid as of today. Some questions were reworded, and some others had answers in a different order, and i did not recognize 3-4 questions at all.
Simulation questions:
1) Organize the troubleshooting scientific method from start to end. From asking about changes to documentation, know them all, and their order. You will need to know them.
2) WAP setup. You must configure 5 WAP's in 2 buildings. The configs you can make are: Antennae type, and encryption method. In building A, WAP's 1-3 should have no encryption, omni. 4-5 external WAP's are directional, WPA2-CCMP (not TKIP!!) between the 2 buildings 2500 feet apart.
3) Turn ports on/off for a network of 3 switches to a router that lost power(or something). It doesn't say anywhere that STP is enabled, so to be sure your config works: disable the 2 ports between the 2 switches that have no direct connection to the router, and prevent the loop.

That is all. Good luck.

ok took the exam today, passed in the high 800's, the dump is very valid, i only saw maybe 2-5 out of the 90 question pool that are not in the lexxo dump. saw 3 sim questions.

1. identify fiber optic connections. you have a picture of each on one and you drag and drop the name of connector. just watch professor messers video on fiber connections and you should be good. link below:

http://www.professormesser.com/n10-005/fiber-connectors/

2. you have an office floor diagram with 3 WAP and a switch. scenario goes, everything was working before till you put the replaced the middle WAP. when you click on each WAP you will get a configuration sceen. solution is that you must click on each one and insure the following:

a. make sure that the channels dont over lap, the first one i set to channel 1, next channel 6 then the last channel 11.

b. make sure the SSID is the same for all

c. insure that the speed an duplexing is the same setting for all.

you do not have to do anything with the switch.

3. the third sim shows you a diagram of a patch cable splayed out and it seem that 5-6 wire has a short. you first have to choose the tool you diagnose the issue. (i got stumped on this one, i choose the cable certifier) if you click next you will be presented with a diagram and you are suppose to place the wires in the right connector. i believe your suppose to put it in T-568A order something like. green-white, green, orange-white, blue, blue-white, orange, brown-white, brown. i might have fuck up that sim but i think i got it right. i would study professor messers video on patch / crossover cable to get this one right and know which tools are used to diagnose what. link below:

http://www.professormesser.com/n10-005/crossover-and-straight-through-cables/

anyway, i used this dump and studied professor messers videos. if you are consistently passing this dump and go thru prof. messers videos you should have no problems. good luck y'all

Hoss, reread the question carefully. It is not asking "which of these is wrong here?" It's asking what you should check and verify. You should absolutely verify that SSID is matching in this scenario.

Also, I'll be taking the exam this week, will post results.

Exam E, Q88 is incorrect.

Q: Two WAPs are positioned with overlapping coverage, but seamless roaming across them is not working. Which of the following should be checked?
A. WPA should be enabled
B. PKI should be turned off
C. WAP SSIDs are matching
D. WAPs are transmtiting on same channel

Test Answer: C

REAL Answer: D

Reason: If you configure roaming across WAP's, you WANT matching SSIDs!! You do not want the WAPs transmitting on the same channels! That's called interference.

You're welcome.

This dump is valid. Tested today in Germany and got a 859. The three SIM questions are all that weren't on the test. I found that most of my questions came from test D and E. The couple of questions that weren't listed, are pretty common sense and you should be able to figure them out pretty quickly on your own. Sam K is correct with the SIM questions, I had the same three. For SIM 1 they give you the 8 steps to troubleshoot a problem and you just need to put them in order. SIM 2 gives you four things to accomplish with the wireless AP's and what encryption method to add. SIM 3 Sam K already gave that answer.

The sim questions were:

1. Fixing procedure- identify the problem, establish plan of action, document findings but all 5/6 steps in ORDER.

2. two buildings and you need to set the correct WiFi standards and password protection.

3. Three switches, and u have to disconnect/disable the cable between switch 2 and 3. to get the connection to work correctly.

@ola
go to filecrop.com and download the certexam version you need..as i have stated, it would probably be best if you just go ahead a purchase the program since you are getting so much out of this cert in the end.

@danial
the sim question on the exam is fairly easy dealing the the WAP.
An organization has introduced a new WAP into the office, users are experiencing connection issues. please identify the cause.
It will then have you go into the configuration of the WAPs and you will have to verify channel, duplex, IP etc.. you have to change the settings on WAP(b) out of WAP(a) WAP(b) WAP(c).. match all the speed settings and duplex and change the channel on WAP(b) to avoid interference.

Passed the exam this morning..dump was 98% on point. 3 sim questions, one with WAPs, one configuring cable 568B standard, one identifying cable connectors. ST and FC look the same so watch out. studied the book and watched videos for 6 months on and off, full time job gives me a few hours at night to study, came across the dump and studying every single day for a week straight. studied all 780 questions, used Anonymous and Andrew dump to review.
Make sure you know the acronyms like IDS, RDP, IPS, STP..definitely know spanning tree and vlans..knowing the answers will not make you understand the concepts, if you are serious with making it a career, KNOW THE MATERIAL!! yes the dump will help you pass, and you most likely will pass as long as you study the questions, but dont be a dummy. I work in IT with so many ppl that have degrees and certs that dont know the first thing about networking and basic computer knowledge.

Off subject, but lexxo was right on with this dump, thanks a lot!!

PS: the certexam 3.0.1 is all over the internet..go to filecrop.com and get it.. you might want to do them a favor and just buy it, you get so much more in the end after you pass your exam. GOOD LUCK COMRADES!!
