did it 10-07 just before being decommissioned....exam is valid although some questions provide additional answers. Be sure to build yourself a homelab to practice the simulaltions. They are absolutely not hard to nail. Simply follow the wizards and provided the given parameters. Also for the update merging read some about it and you will be fine.....

I did it. I passed the 1y0-201. None of the questions in the VCE of 1y0-200 exam was in the 1Y0-201. Al new questions. A lot about netscaler, PVS, XenDesktop en Storefront. I had 78 questions and no simulations. YES YES, I did it.

Pass today at 86%. Dump is valid except some multiple choice ask for 3 and this dump only allow 2. Simulation is as per mention by Mike. As long you can remember the steps for the simulation, you can pass.

I passed with 99% today, which means I got the simulations right. Pay close attention to simulation questions and end-user requirements. Exam will be easy if you know how to create PVS XD & Streamed machines, MCS Machines in XD, Publishing apps in XD and creating stores in Storefront via Netscaler in your lab.

Passed today in australia with 99% score, which means I got all the simulations correct as well.

However pls be careful, simulation requires further steps to get full marks. I will provide more details on the simulation steps shortly.

You need to give the FQDN, in the SIM they telling you that the Controller-1 is in the CCH.com Domain, the only reason they tell you this ist because you Need to give the FQDN.
Controller-1.CCH.com i think.
For me this was Working, mabe you Need to write CCH.com instead cch.com.

Just did the exam today. Same questions and SIMs. Had a huge problem with the one where you have to create devices App4, 5 and 6. After chosing the Streamed VM Wizard, I couldn't advance because when I entered the Hypervisor value, it gave me an error "Unable de connect to the server" . I tried dozens of diferent combinations and nothing. Does anybody know what value needs to go there?

It's valid! Just 3 days ago i did the exam. Failed on the 6 sims!!! 66 multiple choice no drag and drop. 13th of may retry! Could someone explain the sims in detail... so that i can redo them in my lab?

Just took the exam today and failed with 54% all the questions are from the dump but the simulations are the ones i messed up in. I used
this and simulation from John.171q vce. the sims are exactly stated in there but the answers are not 100% accurate.

I did the exam today and didnt pass 55%. I think the problem was the simulations. I had a look at the comment from Mike (comment from Feb 20), but the simulations are not very clear. Does anybody have clear answers? One of the sims i had to create devices app03 app04 app05, but when created each one the mac addresses were all zeros, not sure if i did it correctly. I could not assign then to the OUs, when i tryed the option create AD Account and selected the OU it did nothing.

Can some please place right answers for simulations?

I took the test this past week and ActualTest PDF was accurate on multichoice but not at all on SIMs, I got every multi choice correct but did horrible on 6 sims. The practice test does not shows the steps to answer sims and without a lAB I do not see how anyone can prepare for this test. Has anyone tried the TestKing Simulation exam? I used TK in past and they were pretty accurate just wondering if anyone has any input about this. Thanks!

passed today with 70% in Myanmar. This dump is 98% still valid only 2 new drag and drop questions as "The Chosen One" said. The 6 stimulation questions are the exact ones as "Mike" said. What I found is In two stimulation questions about provision service ( the one using XenDesktop setup wizard and Stream VM setup wizard,we do not have to create the target device first as Mike said, because the XenDesktop and Streaming wizard will take care of creating these target devices with appropriate MAC addresses. The stimulation questions are the real-world alike, so you should have hand-on experience at least on these 6 SIMs. Better to setup your little lab & go for exam.

Dumps are valid, gave exam and passed with 80 %, few (max 5) answers are wrong. Also, do not give exam until you are sure about simulations. Task mentioned by Mike
United StatesFeb 20, 2015 - are absolutely correct however, how to complete to simulations is not given properly , be very sure that you complete all the simulations before attempting exam as many candidates have failed due to simulations only which is 50% weightage to pass.

A couple of Questions / Observations

Merging vDisk sim - Merge updates only or Merge to base? Merge to base seems tidier and ticks the boxes but others seem to favour Merge Updates.

The other merge question is that the question mentions to ensure the vdisk is assigned to the right group. I assume this means check the vdisk is assigned to the devices in the right collection. There are three collections CCH-Test, CCH-Maintenance and CCH-Production. Each has some devices in.
This is really ambiguous. All I can assume is you assign the vdisk to the CCH-Production machines.

The Sim states that you have to maximize the reclaimed disk space.
Now when you use versioning, merging updates will reclaim the most space: the base image is alway´s the same, only the differencing files are merged.
In contrast to the merge base option: a new base image is created.
So when actually using versioning the way it´s designed the answer is simple: merged updates.

But concider this: when you decide to DELETE all the versions after the merge then the Merged Base option actually reclaims the most disk space, as there is ONLY the base left and not a base with a differencing file. (a new base image is used with al the merges) This also completely nullifies the whole concept of versioning so I´am having a hard time picking this theory, besides the fact that I think it´s the most "true": it will maximize reclaim on disk space (and provide zero options to return to previous versions). As I recall, the need that previous versions remain available was not stated in the context of the Sim. Adding further to the confusion. for me that is.

So, kinda hoping someone can destroy my theory on the merged base option. Because merged updates makes the most sense to me, and I also feel the question in the Sim is abstracted from the Citrix documentation, that specifically state that merge updates uses LESS space compared to merge base.

@Amjad. sims do affect exam score, I had 1st 6 questions SIMS, 2 drag and drop, and the rest were questions like the samples here. I aced the questions 100% but did not notice postings here about sims, so bombed them as well as drag and drop. scored 50%
so based on my experience sims plus 2 drag and drop =50% of score.

Also some people has mentioned that SIMS doesnt effect the score i should just do the dumps and attempt the Exam?

How do you ensure task 2? You only have a PVS console.. There is no Studio window in the SIM.
A: Users access Desktops, which are provisioned and use the Finance vDisk. Considering that, updating the vDisk with Office 2013 is enough to make Users have access to it. You only need to assure all the devices are configured to get the Production version of the vDisk

As for the "merge vdisk" questions, the SIM states..

1. Merge all updates to the vDisk.

Ans: in the sim the servers Appserver001, Appserver002 and Appserver003 exist. Therefore the next server can created with the schema: Appserver## : it beginns Appserver04-06.

Still Valid. Passed today. I retook the exam.

Got 66 questions and 6 sims. Sims were the same as last time.
Got 3 new questions drag and drop: see the questions Sung jin Kang described.
TIP: read the questions carefully. Some questions are slight different.
Have some hand on trianing setting up a lab!!
Before finalize one sim explore all options. It simplifies the answer.

All Simulations as Described in the Posts, with the Additional Questions regarding the mentioned update VDisk and Processing of Policies drag and drop. Some QUestions just changed the amount of Answers, just read carefully and learn why the answers are correct and you will be safe.

You shoud use the streaming wizard in this question right? Mike states an IP for the hypervisor, well you can´t. There is no IP given for the hypervisor!, only a DC is given. So you can only use Xendesktop wizard. In the Xendesktop wizard a DC is asked and hypervisor username and password. I haven´t used streaming setup at all.

Also, how to assign merged vdisk to a group? (merged vdisk question?)

Failed at 58%... This VCE is correct for 80/90% but some answer are wrong. simulator is bit confuse with question

Passed in Mexico with 74% here are my findings:
-it came 66 questions section including 2 drag and drop questions. All the questions came from this dump I think 90% of the questions of this dump are correct.So it's safe to say that you can use this dump to present the exam.
-the drag and drop question were as follow.
A.put the steps to update a vdisk in the correct order I ordered it as follows
1.update the master image.
2.shutdown the master image
3.run the pvs inventory.
4.don't remember here, but it was in the last
B.When using profile management what is the order in which the policies are proccessed.. I did it as follows

It came a seccion of 6 similuations as has been told for other students. here is how I answered.
1. Citrix Studio Sim - Update machine catalog, this was simple, go to machine catalogue, select the catalogue that needs to be updated , click on update machines, follow the instructions of the wizard.
2. PVS Simulation - XD Creation Wizard this is pretty simple go to the pvs console, right click on sites, select xen desktop wizard, then follow the instructions acordingly to what was requested in the scenario (3 machines, assign to a OU and to a specific Machine Catalog),
3. PVS Simulation - Streamed Creation Wizard, this is quite simple too, go to the pvs console, right click on sites, select Streamed creation wizard, then follow the instructions acordingly to what was requested in the scenario ( Create 4 machines, assign to a specific device collection)
4. PVS Simulation - Vdisk management, this was hard, I did more or less what John Smith did (First merge updates and then assign to a specific machines), Use "Merged Updates – All updates from last base" and set merge version to "Production". Dont forget delete previous versions, unless base. Check that all VMs on Device Collection has Production.
5. StoreFront Sim -this was pretty hard, I did kind the same of what John Smith did , There are 2 domains CCH and Xirtic. First add an additional DC (I used the existing store and add Xirtic Controller) to a Store and manage authentication methods (User Name and Password and Passthrough from Netscaler Gateway). Add Xirtic domain to “Configure Trusted Domains. Also you have to change “Display Name” using Xirtic.
6. StoreFront Sim - this was the hardest of all , I confirmed what John Smith did, Add a specific DC to a store and use that DC as STA using 8080 port. Also dont forget specified 8080 port on STA URL (https://server.domain.com:8080/..../ctxsta.dll), also set "Enable Remote Access" selecting "No VPN Tunnel"
btw, the first secction has the 6 simulations, then the section 2 has the 66 questions, when you were done with the secction 1 and you were working on the section 2 you won't be able to come back to the secction 1.
Conclusion, the dump is good, I just answered 2 questions according to my experience. there are 3 simulations very easy. and 3 tough, so focus on the store front related.

1. PVS Simulation - XD Creation Wizard (3 machines, assign to a OU and to a specific Machine Catalog)

2. PVS Simulation - Streamed Creation Wizard ( Create 4 machines, assign to a specific device collection)

4. StoreFront Sim - Add a specific DC to a store and use that DC as STA using 8080 port. Also dont forget specified 8080 port on STA URL (https://server.domain.com:8080/..../ctxsta.dll), also set "Enable Remote Access" selecting "No VPN Tunnel"

5. StoreFront Sim - There are 2 domains CCH and Xirtic. First add an additional DC (I used the existing store and add Xirtic Controller) to a Store and manage authentication methods (User Name and Passoword and Passthrough from Netscaler Gateway). Add Xirtic domain to “Configure Trusted Domains. Also you have to change “Display Name” using Xirtic.

6. Citrix Studio Sim - Update machine catalog template vDisk + update Delivery Group, Also you have to publish Firefox using “Create Application”.

before you do anything read carefully several times.

Also dont do many clics unnecessary with the mouse, reset sim as necessary.

Failed at 63%... This VCE is correct for 80/90% but some questions are wrong (wrong number of checkbox) example : Question about VHD, AVHD and PVP, only 2 answers required.

2 or 3 new questions that are not in this VCE. (drag and drop questions)

Simulations are hard if you don't know the product. Good luck. Learning this VCE is not enough to pass this Certification.

Failed today with 53%, simulations are rough, even though I have not studied much I did the self paced training course within the citrix website but the simulations are more difficult than the course labs. Good Luck.

What is simulation? How it looks like?

Here are the sims whcih are given below. You really can't give answers to the sims because it's a simulation. Just do the following in a home lab.

The dump has correct multiple choice. But if you don't pass even just 2 of the 6 Simulations in beginning then you fail. Smh is there anyone that knows the answers to the 6 simulators. I will pay or anything. This is Ridiculous!

Can someone please tell me where this information regarding Sims is coming from? I cannot find anywhere in the Prep Guide that says that you will fail the exam if you do not pass at least three of the sims. The simulation as of today 29th count for 50%. All VCEs/Testking excams have none on simulations. I aced my questions (96%) part but failed the simulations and as a result failed final exam!

that is 100% correct...if you do not pass the sims "atleast 3 of them" you will not pass the exam even if you ace the multiple choice questions. The sims do count and based on my score i'd say its for roughly 50% of the test grade...get in a lab and learn how the menus work and what the terms are before taking the exam. You cannot pass this exam just by using this dump or any other ones out there because none of them have the simulations in them...

Failed today using the premium VCE. The simulations DO count, if you mess these up you fail. Since these aren´t in the file the VCE will not be enough te pass.

Jim, I took mine on August 8th and the questions from this dump were fairly accurate but not perfect...the sims do count towards your final score. They count 50% of your final grade from what i have been told. If you dont pass at least 1 or 2 of the sims you'll more than likely fail the exam. I snagged the passleader VCE and it has about 10 more questions than this one and some different answers. Im currently going through the citrix online education classes for the sims.

The exams were all updated on July 28th. None of the existing dumps will be valid

ExamCollection Premium VCE it is exactly the same as Passleader's, I just wasted $90 on that one and Strongly believe Aocode either works for Passleader or profits from their sales, a very bad sales strategy.

Warning, it has 10 more questions that are NOT on the test and it does NOT have any simulation questions.

In my honest opinion is a waste of money.

Also, simulations now DO count about 50% of your test, if you fail the simulations you will not pass.

The question about "addtional NetScaler session policies.." the answer is "Users need VPN access" and not "users need to be scanned", because the scanner option (Smart Access) is a pre-authentication and/or pos-authentication step, that you put in the same session, and not in a new session. I would say question 32 is correct, when looking at out Netscaler I saw nothing about Storefront in the Traffic policy, however under session policy you have to define what StoreFront WI server the Netscaler talks with.

The file is good for the multiple choice part of the test. It was a two part test. I just took this exam and it had 8 simulations.
So you better know PVS, vDisks and Storefront at least on lab environment to know how to pass these simulations. I passed with 91%
