IBM Certified Solution Designer – IBM Content Collector (ICC) Certification Retirement

ibm, retiring exam, it certificationSo long as new certifications appear, older ones are withdrawn. Thus IBM has recently informed candidates of the retirement of IBM Certified Solution Designer – IBM Content Collector (ICC) Certification. It ceases to exist on May 31, 2016. Instead, IBM suggests taking notice of the most current certifications:

IBM Certified Solution Designer – Content Collector V4.0 (IBM Domino)

and

IBM Certified Solution Designer – Content Collector V4.0 (Microsoft Exchange)

We would remind you that the certification exam that is to be retired verifies candidate’s knowledge and skills required for designing an IBM Content Collector based archiving solution.

Before preparing for this IBM certification, the following knowledge and skills are recommended and assumed:

  • Working knowledge of FileNet P8 and Content Manager V8
  • Knowledge of ICC capabilities and features and ability to implement
  • Working knowledge of Exhange, Lotus Domino, and smtp Email systems
  • Working knowledge of database client installation (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2)
  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint and File Systems

But since this certification is going to disappear, it’s not so much time for you to pass the exam if you are planning to earn IBM Content Collector (ICC) certification. Anyway, the other two exams listed above are worth paying attention to.
