    sorry it is 192.168.164.189/30 instead of 192.168.164.189/28

    last one is the serial interface of the router on the left, we will use /30 for this subnet, this is a WAN link and a recommended subnet mask for this type of link is 255.255.255.252 or /30. our network address is 192.168.164.188, valid ip addresses that can be assigned to the serial interface are 192.168.164.189 and 192.168.164.190 only for both ends, respectively, broadcast address is 192.168.164.191, so 192.168.164.189/30 the correct selection that can be assigned to the inteface.

    @awesomeguy

    I found that question in this dump.

    If you can recall the topic about VLSM..

    The drag & drop question has asked to assign the correct ip address for the specific interface of the routers that met the correct number of host on the network connected to it.

    Let's start from the highest number of host.

    Inteface F0/0 of the router in the middle has a 16 hosts connected to it, so we will use /27 for that interface, the network address for that subnet is 192.168.164.128, valid ip address that can be assigned to the hosts is 192.168.164.129 up to 192.168.164.158, broadcast address is 192.168.164.59, so 192.168.164.149/27 is the correct selection that can be assigned to that interface.

    second is the interface of the router on the left with 11 hosts, we will use /28 for this subnet, our network address is 192.168.164.160 valid ip address that can be assigned to the hosts is 192.168.164.161 up to 192.168.164.174, broadcast address is 192.168.164.175, so 192.168.164.166/28 the correct selection that can be assigned to the inteface.

    third is the interface of the router on the right with 6 hosts, we will use /29 for this subnet, our network address is 192.168.164.176 valid ip address that can be assigned to the hosts is 192.168.164.177 up to 192.168.164.182, broadcast address is 192.168.164.183, so 192.168.164.178/29 the correct selection that can be assigned to the inteface.

    last one is the serial interface of the router on the left, we will use /30 for this subnet, this is a WAN link and a recommended subnet mask for this type of link is 255.255.255.252 or /30. our network address is 192.168.164.188, valid ip addresses that can be assigned to the serial interface are 192.168.164.189 and 192.168.164.190 only for both ends, respectively, broadcast address is 192.168.164.191, so 192.168.164.189/28 the correct selection that can be assigned to the inteface.

    On one question in this dump there were 3 floss routers and I had to pick the correct IP and prefix for their network (they were interconnected). The answer was 192.168.164.189/30 but how can it be /30 when there are 3 routers and 2 host bits and 2 on the power of 2 is 4 and 4-2 is 2.
