New Year’s Eve without Four VCA6 Certifications and Exams

December 31, 2017 – the last day of the year. The time of New Year’s Eve, presents and miracles. They say that people should say goodbye to old things, thoughts and grievances… Evidently, the IT company VMware adheres to this superstition. After all, on December, 31 the company will retire the whole list of old exams and related certifications. The main reason for such a great withdrawal is the release of the new VCA-DBT certification.
VMware is retiring the following VMware Certified Associate 6 certifications and exams:
- VMware Certified Associate 6 – Data Center Virtualization (VCA6-DCV) – 1V0-621 exam
- VMware Certified Associate 6 – Network Virtualization (VCA6-NV) – 1V0-642 exam
- VMware Certified Associate 6 – Desktop and Mobility (VCA6-DTM) – 1V0-605 exam
- VMware Certified Associate 6 – Cloud Management and Automation (VCA6-CMA) – 1V0-603 exam
After December 31, these exams will no longer be available, and the certification will no longer be awarded. But there is enough time to earn one of these retiring certs.
VMware Certified Associate 6 – Data Center Virtualization (VCA6-DCV)
Gain greater credibility when discussing data center virtualization, the business challenges that vSphere is designed to address, and how virtualizing the data center with vSphere addresses those challenges.

This exam tests candidates on their skills and abilities identifying technical requirements for managing a VMware vSphere 6 environment. It consists of 50 single and multiple choice, non-proctored, online questions and lasts 75 minutes.
Preparation options: Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals [V6]; VCA6-DCV (1V0-621) Practice Exam; ExamCollection Practice Exam.
VMware Certified Associate 6 – Network Virtualization (VCA6-NV)
Gain greater credibility when discussing network virtualization, the business challenges VMware NSX and related networking technologies are designed to address, and how virtualizing the network with NSX addresses those challenges.

This exam tests candidates on their skills and abilities identifying technical requirements for managing a VMware NSX 6.2 environment. It consists of 50 single and multiple choice, non-proctored, online questions and lasts 75 minutes.
Preparation options: VMware Network Virtualization Fundamentals 2016; VCA6-NV (1V0-642) 6.2 Practice Exam; ExamCollection Practice Exam.
VMware Certified Associate 6 – Desktop and Mobility (VCA6-DTM)
Gain greater credibility when discussing desktop virtualization, the business challenges that Horizon with View and related desktop technologies are designed to address, and how virtualizing desktops and mobile devices with View addresses those challenges.

This exam tests your skills and abilities identifying the technical requirements for desktop virtualization. It consists of 50 single and multiple choice, non-proctored, online questions and lasts 75 minutes.
Preparation options: VMware Workforce Mobility Fundamentals; VCA6-DTM (1V0-605) Practice Exam; ExamCollection Practice Exam.
VMware Certified Associate 6 – Cloud Management and Automation (VCA6-CMA)
Gain greater credibility when discussing cloud computing, the business challenges the vCloud Suite is designed to address, and how deploying VMware Cloud solutions address those challenges.
1V0-603
This exam tests your skills and abilities identifying the technical requirements for cloud management and automation. It consists of 50 single and multiple choice, non-proctored, online questions and lasts 75 minutes.
Preparation options: VMware Cloud Fundamentals; VCA6-CMA (1V0-603) Practice Exam; ExamCollection Practice Exam.
