A storage pool provides mirroring, spanned, and parity. Parity would provide you the most space with 3 disks and allow fault tolerance. Mirroring will not provide the most space but will allow for fault tolerance between 2 disks.

Maybe I confuse a storage pool with JBOD? If a storage pool has some raid 5 or 1 it does have fault tolerance.

If the mirrored volume is unavailable on the test, then yes--the correct answer IS the storage pool. A storage pool most certainly does provide fault tolerance.

Hi Kasper, first of all, congratulations. I think your answer about a storagepool is incorrect couse a storage pool does not provide fault tolerance for a defective disk. I will give it a go on monday.

Well I pass the exam yesterday using the corrections mentioned here, but there are a changes on some questions.
And you have to check this in particular

You need to create a volume that can store up to 3 TB of user files. The solution must ensure that the user files are available if one of the disks in the volume fails.
What should you create?

A. A storage pool on Disk 2 and Disk 3
B. A mirrored volume on Disk 2 and Disk 3
C. A storage pool on Disk 1 and Disk 3
D. A mirrored volume on Disk l and Disk 4
E. Raid 5 Volume out of Disks 1, 2 and 3

The answer is storage pool on D2 and D2, coz there are no more the mirrored volume answer :)

If you know stuff you'll pass with these corrections :)

The question about the mirrored volumes with GB of data can also be done as a storage pool setup in a mirror format. I set it up myself in a lab and confirmed that 2 4TB GPT dynamic drives can be setup in a storage pool setup with mirroring and then mounted to a drive letter.

However, since the answer is just "storage pool." without specifying how to configure it then I guess the mirror answer would be the correct one.

The correct answer is a Mirrored Volume of the 2 4GB GPT Partitions - 2 & 3. You can lose 1 drive in a mirrored volume, which matches the question, and you can't create a mirror on a Basic Disk, which excludes disk 2. Disks 0 & 4 are too small as a 3TB volume is required.

Here's another error:

You have a server named Server1 that has the Web Server (IIS) server role installed. You obtain a Web Server certificate. You need to configure a website on Server1 to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). To which store should you import the certificate? To answer, select the appropriate store in the answer area.

The answer is given as the Trusted People store in the Current User certificates, where it should be the Personal store in the Computer certificates.

avg of 20 something questions per section total of 60-65 questions

pass 70% per section fail any section and you fail the exam.
This dump is very close to current exam however answers are not all right but will give a good indication of what to read up and play with in the product.
