A little query really in terms of the usage of Repadmin and DNScmd when forcing replication of DNS zones. I'm currently studying for my 70-640 (Active Directory Exam) and was wondering what the difference is in terms of utilizing the said tools for forcing DNS replication.

I've seen questions which reference forcing replication with the answers varying between these tools and was wondering when and why you would use either one specifically.

Perhaps my understanding is incorrect: Use repadmin to force replication for any Active Directory integrated zones and use DNScmd to force zone tranfers for non-AD integrated DNS zones?

Your understanding is correct. repadmin is for managing AD replication only. With repadmin you force replication only for AD integrated zones. So i gues that this is what is tested - difference between AD integrated zones and primary/secondary zones

Really Enjoying This Dump but anyways. To the Main Issue is a Question from the DNS Section.

Now My Immediate First Answer is C) Repadmin. I Strongly Think that is the correct answer but actually the correct answer is A) Dnslint apparently. so i looked up Dnslint on the Microsoft Website http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321045 and it tells me that "DNSLint is a Microsoft Windows utility that helps you to diagnose common DNS name resolution issues." If that is so.How Can DNSlint be the answer to This Question?

hey Whiteboi . The dump was very helpful but the choices numbers were different so if you memorize the answer's then do keep memorize with actual statements and not with A, B , C D . Also dumps need to be 100% correct to get full marks as all the questions were from the dump but still got 770

please verify the question again. the enterprise intermediate CA certificate is expires. and before deploy the new certificate to clients. u should import it to Intermediate CA. :)

I Would Like to Query this Question.

You Need to allow Group 1 to publish new certificate revocation lists. Members of Group1 must not be allowed to revoke Certificates.> What Should you Do:
A) Add Group1 to the Certificate Publishes Group
B) Add Group1 to the Local Administrators Group
C) Assign the Manage CA Permission to Group1
D) Assign The Issue and Manage Certificates Permission to Group 1

Apparently the Answer is C But Then it Doesn't Make Sense Because if you have the manage permission, You can also Revoke Certificates.

because you are using enterprise ROOT CA,so when u deploy a new enterprise Issuing CA,autoenrolment takes place and when a computer boots certificate will be issued.The question is about deploying a certificate for all computera in the domain,that means u need to configure it as a trusted CA in client computer,which can be done by configuring default domain group policy object.
