It's still valid. Passed in Ireland 14/09, scored 900. There are many wrong answers in the dump, and also a few new questions in the exam.

I took tom's list and reviewed it, I added a few more, but I'd agree with the majority on the list. Notice there are two questions that are not in the dump.

**New questions**

1-
There was question related to the unpredicted log file growth and also a high percentage of WRITELOG wait type. It was requested two actions to stop/reduce the auto-growth as well as the WRITELOG.

The set of answers was a screen-shot of the database options, where the recovery model was set to FULL, and all the other option underneath were available to be changed.

I selected :
1- RECOVERY MODEL
2- Delay durability

The question states that a company uses a third-party tool/algorithm to encrypt sensitive data. Also the company uses the third-party assemblies embedded in several internal applications. The request was to use the assemblies to encrypt data during the nightly data load.

There were four options, I don't remember all of them clearly but the two that I can remember are the following:

- Create a CLR stored procedure and then implement the encryption
- Create a user function and then implement the encryption

****Wrong questions in the dump****

2 - The question says the project has already been deployed to the SSIS catalog. It is not necessary to deploy the package to Dev and QA environments to be able to use the Environment Variables, otherwise it wouldn't make sense create them. I believe there is a wrong answer here. It should be "Add the environment to the deployed project, create references, and execute the package".

11 - The question only asks how to execute a package stored in the file system, not how to schedule and execute it. So to me the answer should be dtexec only.

22 - It is “project has been deployed” to the SSIS catalog. Also the question says the catalog contains two environments. So no need to deploy the project to both environments. To me the answer should be: configure the project to use environment variable, create reference, and then execute the package using the required environment.

36 – Be careful, same as 22. Only key words have changed.

40 – Obviously you cannot create SSIS Catalogue before SSIS.. Be careful – different suggestions, I would recommend Framework 3.5, SQL Server Data Tools and Create SSIS catalogue.

44 - It is requested that you implement a task or component that supports SCD type 3. I don't see how Merge component could support it. Merge component merges two sorted inputs, in the type 3 it's necessary an update on destination source columns. It would be possible using T-SQL Merge statement or Lookup task, and not Merge component.

48 – Answer should read “For Loop” rather than “Foreach”, therefore, EvalExpression is correct, since a Foreach option only has an Enumerator property which is the wrong answer.

49 – Question clearly says without redeploying the entire package.. Answer: Open the custom object, Edit C

Do you mean, there were 10 new questions in the exam not in the dumps, or do you mean, there were only 10 questions on the exam that can be found in these dumps.

Hey Guys so i gave this exam today and passed with 752. Many were from this dump - Though there were many new questions too, and those new ones were mostly about arranging in order or choosing from options for task component or so. I would suggest to read dumps as well as have overview about the topics. Good Luck

Good dump, Bad questions:
36 – Be careful, not too sure of answer. Could be duplicate of another question with different scoring answers. It is “project has been deployed”.
40 – Obviously you cannot create SSIS Catalogue before SSIS.. Be careful – different suggestions, I would recommend Framework 3.5, SQL Server Data Tools and Create SSIS catalogue.
48 – Answer should read “For Loop” rather than “Foreach”, therefore, EvalExpression is correct, since a Foreach option only has an Enumerator property which is the wrong answer.
49 – Question clearly says without redeploying the entire package.. Answer: Open the custom object, Edit C#, Rebuild and redeploy the custom object.
56 - First two should answers should be reversed; Install the Database Engine before running the Data Quality Server Install (DQSInstaller.exe is a post installation task.) Operator is correct - if you assign them kb_editor role in addition to editing and executing projects they will also be able to create and edit a knowledge base which is more than what the question required.
72 – Cannot determine the correct answer: Custom Component or Custom Task, since the question doesn’t specify what the new capability is. Some say Component, some Say Task. I think Task as the question says not available as a task: I guess from this part of the question we’re supposed to deduce that this new “capability” is involved with the data flow of the package and not the control flow of the package, thus we need a custom task and not a custom component.
96 – Should be Change the Granularity to Month, (Creating a view doesn’t reduce growth or reduce processing time)
99 – Increasing similarity threshold improves performance as there is less comparisons to make.

145 – We are setting rather than retrieving, should be Expression Task
147 – Think it should be ACE driver. Haven’t seen a 32bit runtime option, rather a 64bit runtime option.
150 – Answer should be Create a userRegion table.
151 – Cannot determine correct answer. Representing a complete solution should be Multicast and Slowly Changing Dimension, but equally could be Lookup & Multicast.

Exam still have many valid questions; quite a few new Qs also, but this dump has also some wrong answers IMO.. If unsure, research answer. Q52: If you need to run parameterized queries, save the query results to variables, or use property expressions, you should use the Execute SQL task instead of the Execute T-SQL Statement task
