This is one mean exam. I have done the CBT and the official course been working on 2012 for 6 months done one small domain upgrade and having been working on server systems since netware 3.12 read all these questions and the 410 411 412 got my first ever fail and by a country mile I couldn't of got any 50/50 guesses right at all it's as if they invented a whole new operating system and asked questions about the bits no one uses booked in for next wednesday just to better my score for pride if nothing more

These questions are changed. Dont go. I have to appear agian. Exam has three sections and almost 22 question in each one. This dump does not cover 90% of the questions so I was not successful, questions looked from an alien world.

The Pass4Sure website states that the 417 exam was updated on sept. 9th. You are correct, however, that it has not been updated yet. I assume they will update it shortly. I will be checking and will post when they do..Lets hope it's quick!

Pass4Sure 138 Questions were last updated on August 20th 2013. Exam got changed in the first week of September. We can try contacting them to see when are they planning on updating this exam on their website. Looks like all dumps sites have old questions. May be new dumps are not out yet???

Ok, I just downloaded the Pass4Sure PDF for the 70-417 with a total of 138 questions and it said on their website that it was updated on sept. 9th. Well, unfortunately it's the same old questions from this dump, nothing new. I wonder if passguide is the same way. a little skeptical at the moment..

Actual BrainDumps is selling it for $39, updated on Sep 7th and has 50 questions. There is a huge difference in number of questions in this one and passguide. I think 546 are way too many questions and somehow it doesn't sound right

For anyone who will pass the exam, you should run these labs too. (DA, DAC, ADFS and other 2012 features)
It will help greatly if you lack the work experience for Server 2012. And, honestly, even with work experience, you don't get to play with all these tech.

Was tough, a lot of questions on clustering, ADFS, IPAM, and DirectAccess. Also Remote Server monitoring and performance monitor that I have not seen on any of the dumps.

Make sure you know PowerShell!!!!

Did use the complete 410, 411, and 412's for revision too, and they helped a LOT outside of this.

Lots of cluster, IPAM, and AD FS questions. Some direct-access.
Some real MS questions, like on what tab of a precreated RODC record will you find the name of the writable DC this RODC is based on.

Needless to say, I failed this exam ;(

Bump valid even though got new questions in the test (Finland). Major new questions were about DAC so check those out more detailed. Also I took the dump Microsoft Pass4sure 70-417 v2013-08-09 by frinfoparis 187q.vce to learn as was happy. I has a lot of questions which are not in this dumpt. The Pass4sure is the better one. I made it today with 833 points.

Would I get this question on the exam, I'd be puzzled now:
1. Mirror volume need to be dynamic disk, but MBR/GPT is not a problem.

2. Spanned volume are not fault tolerant.
3. Raid 5, if disk 1 is converted to dynamic, would present a valid solution. (same as the mirror option)

Conclusion:
I hope they changed the Disk [0.4] in the exam cause currently, there's no "perfect" answer.

I like your approach and I do agree that "Storage Space" would make it possible. I only picked RAID because it's the only "possible" option. Still, this solution would require to convert the basic disk to dynamic.(quick and easy)

I will take my test in 2-3 weeks from today. If I do get that question, I will verify the exact wording.
If it's "Storage space" and not "Storage pool", i'll go with a storage space answer.
If not, I'll stick with RAID.

Regarding question 53. I wonder if MS are meaning storage space. From what I understand, raid 5 needs all dynamic disks and disk 1 is basic.

I'm not sure abot the Exam A, Q91. It states that the Domain Naming Master is required for promoting the member server in an existing domain. I believe this is incorrect. The correct answer is his old answer DC3.

Explanation:
The operation failed because: To perform the requested operation, the directory service needs to contact the Domain Naming Master (server <servername>). The attempt to contact it failed. The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
Servers that are being promoted to domain controllers might generate this error message when they are unable to contact the domain naming master role holder during promotion. This happens while creating the first domain controller in a new child domain or in a new tree in an existing forest.

You are right, it can't be storage pool.
Also, I don't think your answer is correct. The question specify it has to be 3Tb, a mirror would give you 2Tb. (D1=4Tb,D4=2Tb)

I believe the closest answer is B, Raid 5 on D1,D2,D3.
You can convert a basic disk to dynamic, but you can't convert to basic without destroying all the partition. Though, I don't think there's a "perfect" answer for this question.
