dude, i suppose it won't upgrade easily your previous MCSE 2012, if passing only this one
MCSA itself never needed re-certification as per my recalls, but MCSE did
since you had yours at 2012 , those times the rule was - it was valid for 3years, after that you had to go fo re-cert and pass 700-980 exam actually
on Sept 2016 MS had revamped this approach and deprecated every 3y MCSE re-cert procedure, allowing MCSE stay actually valid all the time, the one thing is the "active" additional status, if you needed those you had to pass *one* additional exam the year for which you wished this *active* status i.e if you wanted non stop active you go for addiitional exam every year, if you don't you can pass one some year on your choice and that's it
also they had renamed MCSEs same Sept 2016 and "granted" all curent valid MCSEs (for the moment of 2016 Sept) the new ones
but again, since yours was technically expired in 2016, you did not get automatically a new one @ Sept
as for me - it means that if you want it now current and valid you need to go from the scratch and push the current MCSE req's but i believe now it's not 3-4 exams in a row but more pretty easy stuff

dig the Net for most accurate info, just my 2 cents about it :)

Passed yesterday in Spain (about 890). 58 questions, this dump is partially valid but I'd say enough to pass. I got new questions, but I don't recall how many new ones I got though (I'd say no mnore than 15).

Just passed this exam today with 7XX and i used this file and the Premium VCE.
The exam existed for me out of 58 Questions.
Use both this one and premium and your chances of succeeding will increase.
