I just took my exam today 9/30/2013 and passed it. I did use this VCE to study brain dumps for my test. I will admit SOME of the questions were on the test but a lot were not. Your best bet is to get a good book (I got the one Darill Gibson wrote) and really learn the knowledge. I will admit though, the simulations that are in the VCE are pretty accurate. I did about 5 of them out of 7 that were in this book! Great VCE for studying!

So I took the test on yesterday, and passed 759/750. Yea I just passed, but I passed none the less. Now I didn't study Zico's dump as much as I studied Anon's dump. I kinda wish I did thou. Both their dumps have questions that are on the test. But the SIMS thou...those are different animals. If you don't know the "terminology" then you'll prolly fail. The test itself was hard, but with some studying you should pass. I do suggest to study both this dump and Zico's dump..and you should have success.

Took the test, passed with a 753 and yes I will take it. Dump only had about 10 questions from it. Used Messer - security videos, along with free pdfs and using other dumps to get a understanding of the questions. Took the test today and barely passed with a 763, but I'll take it! Test definitely changed. 7 sims. Setting up a firewall, types of physical security, setting up mobile device security, and 4 others I cant recall. DO NOT only use this to study for exam.

Agree with everyone. I used the DocAdams, Anon 295, Justin 408, and Cristiano 442. Out of all of the vce files I managed to scrounge up about 10 questions that were on the exam.

The sims are covered in the link below from "Aug 2013 Tester". I found out Friday that the exam changed so I actually read the "CompTIA Security+ Training Kit (Exam SY0-301) Roughcuts" from Microsoft on Friday and Saturday. This book contained all of the pertinent information. The questions in the VCE files were able to test my knowledge even if they were not in the actual test.

Scraped by with an 800.

I had no questions from this dump, but I barely passed. So I'm breathing a sigh of relief. I do recommend reading Security+: Get Certified Get Ahead SY0--301 by Darril Gibson. At least until there's a new brain dump. If I didn't go through that book, I think I would have failed.

I agree with <<Jeff>>, depending on which bank of questions you get you might not see very many questions on the test. You really need to study via a book, or videos to pass and know it. I was lucky enough to know alot of the stuff and had studied via book and videos as well. Dont rely on just these dumps you might be throwing away $285. Prepare for the different banks of questions but know the questions from these dumps as well.

70 questions in total, 7 simulations included.
13 new questions but nothing too difficult to answer if you studied.

Okay, so, I did use this .vce to pass this morning. However, as someone stated before me, the test has changed. I doubt if 10 of these questions were actually on the test. To be honest, I felt like I really only had about 4 of these questions on my test.

But do not let that discourage you. I had not studied a single bit. In fact, I had completely forgotten I scheduled my test for today and didn't remember until about 9AM. My test was scheduled for 2PM, so I just crammed all 295 or so questions and hoped for the best. I scored a 800 on my exam, and I am pretty sure I didn't do the labs.

Just a heads up. I would check out that newly posted vce and maybe run through those questions a bit. I am going to look at it in a while and if that looks to be more accurate, I will comment and confirm.

studied mainly this for about a week and passed with just under 800. That said, the test is changed. Very few of these questions are going to line up as many of my classmates found.

DO NOT use this as your only means of training, you will likely fail.

Took the exam yesterday (July 29th) and its about 85-90% legit, simulations as well. Scored 870. The other questions were not too difficult and you can work through them with a little prior preparation from the book.

I would suggest however, to do the simulation questions last because they eat up all your time, and they don't seem to weigh as much more (in score) as regular questions. I remember looking at the clock after I was done with all them and 35 mins had gone by. Not because they were terribly hard but because it's not 100% user friendly and the clock doesn't show in the simulation platform.

The good news is that all that sims that our friends here have mentioned are the same ones on the test but I can't imagine that most of these questions will be valid for much longer. It seems as though they change the test bank up a little more every month or every quarter that goes by. Good luck!

I took the test today in Afghanistan and got a 847. 75% of the questions from the dump are on the test. The first 4 or 5 I had never seen before but after that most were exactly the way I remembered them. 70 questions total

Sim 1. Drag and drop security features for Mobile Device and Terminal Server.
Sim 2. Drag and drop Services to correct port number
Sim 3 Configure Firewall for 2 computers. Input the 4 rules asked by the question. (ie. ip address of source and dest, TCP or UDP Port number of services.
Sim 4. Read scripts form Firewall, IDS, and Router. Which network device failed.
Sim 5. Secure WAP to connect to your domain RADIUS server.
Sim 6. Network diagram, What type of an attack is happening.
Sim 7.Five different Social Engineering scenarios. select from a dropdown list what is happening (ie. Phishing, Hoax, Pharming etc.)

Depending on which lot of questions you get you might not see many of the questions on the test. You do need to read the book just in case you get another bank of questions. Took the test and most of the questions were different. 7 Sims were as described previously. The test I took only had about 10 questions max from the dump.

I Passed today with a 830. I used this Dump, AnonTester 288q.vce Dump and Cristiano 442q.vce Dump, plus I read the book. You need to do more than one dump and you need to read the book to increase the chances of you answering a question that's not on these dumps correctly. I'd say that using all the bumps gave me about 80% of the questions word for word, but if you need to cram, just do this its about 60%/70%. Good luck. I got mine, you can get yours too. If you do what I did you will pass.
