I just failed my first paper 70-290 last week 12th Mac 2010 due to simulation. so i have been informed by Training place, i can retake the exam by this month too. hopefully i can pass the exam. is there any simulation question that i can try to answer before i can take the exam next week. Kindly please help...thank you...

I think the answer should be C. taskmgr.exe
in Taskmanger click on users then right click on the user then logg him/her off
While in computer managment there is no option to log a use off

1. you had 8 discs - few with raid 5, few mirrored and few striped. They were asking which you can remove to have still access to data on server.
2. there is new admin (Anna), you have 10 servers under one group policy in OU, she will need to do her job on servers and you need to give her right permissions,
3. there is new server, you did the backup on certain day, but there is other person responsible for backups. The report which you could see shows you only the backup which you did. You would like to see report from backup (if this guy doing his job). What you should do?

I had one more about the user which account was locked. And you need to reset his password.

No,you need the learn the sims to (i got 10 on my exam),also it's not smart to only learn dumps because in practice you will fail dearly.

i have passed the paper today got 943/1000
this dumps is valid
99 =B is correct because the change permission is "change" and not "full control",so the ntfs permission never can be full control.
that's why th most restrictive ntfs permissionn is "modify" and not "full control"(it's allready explained several times in this discussion).
168 =D is correct (I think) because they state that it has to be with the minimum amount of administrative affort.

2) In your Visual CertExam Manager click... Exam > Options
3) On the General tab, uncheck Randomize Questions
4) Restart exam, questions should appear in order discussed here
I not total agree ,i think not all these questions are wrong.
This is what i think.
26 = B i think the same as pavel,the workstation isn't part of the domain yet,that's because the dialogbox doesn't show the domain name.
89 = A is correct because it's states that it is a normal server and not a terminal server ,adding the terminal server component will solve the problem in this case.
138 = D is correct,because it's a server not a workstation,in this case the memory paging is caused because the nic is not sufficient install a additional networkadapter will solve the problem.
144 = C Pavel is right it should be on the workstation because The server has no need for the client package, especially the user has been denied logon access to the server.

To boderks. If you go to options and untick randomize questions you will get the same question under the same number everytime you start the program.
2) Please take note of the following comment, the link can take you to a site which will show you answers to ALL of the current sims on the 70-290 exam. I had about 8 sims in total, ALL of them were discussed at the site below....

Completely valid. Sat today, scored an 868/1000. Definitely use the sims from http://www.harith4u.blogspot.com/ to supplement this dump.
Now... for those that are interested, I believe I had 32 questions from the dump in my exam... As best I can remember, the numbers of the questions were as follows...
2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 17, 23, 24, 32, 34, 50, 52, 57, 58, 60, 62, 66, 78, 82, 88, 94, 99, 102, 111, 112, 117, 135, 145, 156, 167, 172, 175
There has already been some discussion surrounding question 99. I believe the answer is A but as best I can work out from my score, I believe they are looking for the answer listed. I left a comment to tell them I thought the question could be worded better as the least restrictive NTFS permission is Full Control - it is the Overall permission that is Modify as a result of the Share permission (rule of most restrictive permissions).
That's it for me... onto study for 70-291... ENJOY!!
THESE ARE NOT the official answers to a microsoft exam. This dump is someone's best guess at it. Granted, they are mostly true, but this is by no means completely correct.

Hi I just read the comments of other users who said that this dump contains few wrong answers hence I am in doubt if I should refer this dump or not for my exam.

In Server 2003 the DNS integrated zones are held in an application partition. You can authoritatively restore that as part of an AD restore by using a system state backup of the AD

Also Q160, System state does not include dns zone. But i cannot understand what answer should be bacause in my server it is under %systemroot%system32dnsackup and question only gives option%systemroot%dns without system32.Dunno how relevant that system32 is. I would go for B. Any other options?
You talk about q26,q144, etc all the time..,but the vce questions keep changing in order everytime you start it up in vce suite,so is it possible to say what the question is about(as mike did),so we know wich question you mean and what it is about?

q.89: correct answer is D, and it also shows D (not A), when I click on "Show Answer". I'm wondering, why does your program display this answer incorrectly.

I also think that in Q.89 correct answer is may be D and in 144 the correct answer is C as per my view. I m not sure about Q.26 & 138. Any one has a idea about this questions ?

I have an important question: Could it be by any chance that some questions in this test are answered wrongly?
An example is Question 89. i cannot understand why answer is A. A few my friends who are sysadmins answered D.
Or Question 144. My answer is C as well as some others friends of mine. Although the right answer is marked as A. Which makes no sense. Or i am wrong?
Could please someone comment on that?

Re #1 where you are asked to identify the least restrictive permission when accessing files, the dump says 'Modify' but the correct answer is 'Full Control'
The correct answer is 'Modify' as the Share permission is set to "Change". The group 1 has full control but when you net Share permissions and NTFS permissions, the effective permission is the most restrictive therefore the full control permission on group 1 would be effectively "Modify" so overall, the least restrictive permission is "Modify". I checked with one of our lecturers.

Sure, there are two questions wrong as far as I can see:
#1 where you are asked to identify the least restrictive permission when accessing files, the dump says 'Modify' but the correct answer is 'Full Control'
#2 you have a native domain and a mixed mode domain, you create a universal group named Contoso-All. You get an error message (shown in an exibit and the question is 'what should you change?' The dump answer is B (change to global group) but the correct answer is 'A' (change to domain local)...

The simulations are not included in this dump.
One simulation asked you to took at a harddisk and identify which physical disks could fail and allow the volumes to keep functioning (piece of cake, one disk from Raid-1, 1 disk from Raid-5 and no disks from Raid-0)
Another simulation was a backup/restore scenario where the tapes are a combination of Normal, Differential and Incremental.
Another simulation was for a temporary user who needs to become a member of Finance distribution groups (I think this was the only one I didn't get all the marks for)..
Yet another simulation was for IIS, where you had to restrict number of sessions and bandwidth for a website (remember that 2mb is 2048kbps!)
If you run through this entire dump a couple of times, you should have no problem getting the required 700. I got 962 without even reading half of the questions.

where did u give your exam? and what about the simulations? were they from here?
This dump is valid, about 75% of the questions came from it. There are one or two wrong answers in it though.
