rumandcoke- don't forget, group1 is also part of authorized users. So they have change Share permission as part of that group. So currently, Group1 has change on the Share (change from Auth Users and none from Group1) and Read (none from Auth Users + read from Group1) on the NTFS side. Correct answer is to change the NTFS setting for Group1 to read and write.

the only problem with answer A is that the users in group 1 will not be able to add files to the folder. When using share permissions and NTFS permissions together, if there is a conflict in the configuration, the most restrictive permission prevails. In this case granting them the change share permission would in effect be overuled by not having the write NTFS permission.

Although C is probably a better choice of the two I still don't like it as it requires some assumptions and to be truthful is a poor question with an incomplete picture. I think it is one of those " select the best choice available" questions when no choice is really the correct one.

You need to make sure that only members of Group1 can add files to Folder1 over the network. What should you do?

B. Modify Share permissions for Auth Users
C. Modify NTFS permissions for Group1
D. Modify NTFS permissions for Auth Users

Dump says the answer is C. Why would changing NTFS permissions permit users from Group1 to add files over the network? Shouldn't the answer be A?

with regards to exam J, Q12 below

To enable the DNS Server service to use DNS over IPv6, use the dnscmd /config
/EnableIPv6 1 command

however this does not DISABLE IPv4, the question asks to resolve ONLY IPv6

To restrict a DNS server to listen ONLY on selected addresses using a command line

Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

dnscmd /ResetListenAddresses [ ..]

so C should be correct

The dump says the answer is C, but I think the answer is B. (And so does my instructor.) Any thoughts?

Im' taking 70-648 in a week. That's a combination of 640 and 642. Does anyone know if Microsoft simply reuse the questions from 640 and 642 for the 648 exam? So can I study a 640 and 642 dump and get those questions in the 648 exam??
