i agree with nebojsa from Serbia , in this question i believe C is the Answer not A.
You need to recommend a solution for managing the shared folders that meets the company’s technical requirements.
What should you include in the recommendation?

    A.
    Computer Management

    B.
    File Server Resource Manager (FSRM)

    C.
    Share and Storage Management

    D.
    Storage Explorer

@Virtual-R: Ok, about the disks for SQL server - I just noticed that they will be in a *HARDWARE* RAID-5. Since that is completely transparent to the operating system it can use basic disks and therefore your answer must be correct after all. Sorry for the confusion.

Wow, getting dizzy with all the corrections and people saying against eatchother, haha. :)
Stone: Originally the answer was as you say, "Password settings object" we changed that to manual password changes. Now I don't know what to do, what is correct?

Stone: The other one, about dynamic versus Basic disks has also been discussed MANY times, and the reason why dynamic disks were voted down
    is following:

"On Citypower & Light, I noticed an error (it seems correct in Rude though), Type of disks for Failover Cluster, the V3 says GPT And Dynamic, the answer I believe is GPT and basic. While searching for confirmation I found on msdn blog the following : Are dynamic disks supported in failover clusters. Yes, they absolutely are HOWEVER support is not provided natively in-box in Windows for Failover Clusters. It requires an add-on product from Symantec called Storage Foundation for Windows. I therefore believe the right answer is GPT + Basic Disks. (post is from December 2009, so in case it changed since, I believe this GPT + basic is the right answer)"
  • Stone from Unknown - May 15 2012, 8:51 AM Report Spam
Lucerne: Question about Passwords for SQL1 and SQL2:
I believe the proper answer is "a Password settings object" instead of "manual password changes". The security requirements list that USER passwords must be changed every 60 days (and not server account/service accounts).
The (server) passwords are set to never expire according to description. In order to fulfill the USER password requirement AND keep the current setting for servers we need to deploy a PSO for the servers.
Any error in my logic ?
  • Stone from Unknown - May 15 2012, 8:17 AM Report Spam
Correction: City Power & Lights - Question about SQL Server and recommended disks.
This must be answer "GPT disks and dynamic disks" instead.
Reason: Basic disks do not support RAID-5 (which is mentioned).
    Reference: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa363785(v=vs.85).aspx
"Dynamic disks provide features that basic disks do not, such as the ability to create volumes that span multiple disks (spanned and striped volumes) and the ability to create fault-tolerant volumes (mirrored and RAID-5 volumes)."

    Found another error answer:

    Exam H Item 7

The web server admin needs to only be able to restart all web servers and backing up and restoring the files on those three web servers.

The answer in the dump is adding the group to the Backup Operators domain local group.

The correct answer should be adding the group to the Backup Operators local group on each web server.

Reason: The three web servers are located in a workgroup in the perimeter network and so domain local groups do not apply to them.

    1. I THINK you are right here, but would need others to confirm.
    2. This I am sure of, since you can't modify local folders in Computer managment, the correct answer IS Share and Storage Managment. This has been corrected in my future version.
    3. I don't have an answer here, some more that agrees with this?
  • Isolated from United States - May 15 2012, 12:07 AM Report Spam
    1. @Virtual-R (or anyone else for that matter) - Can you confirm the error question I talked about concerning the remote desktop services question? I admit that I am a little weak in this area but after a little research, I came away that a Remote Desktop Gateway is needed and not Remote Desktop Web Access.

    2. I also believe the answer to be Share and Storage Management simply for that fact that this management console supersedes the Computer Management snapin.

    3. I too think it is Node Majority as the right answer with 2 servers in Production and 1 in DR. I got to this answer simply because with three servers (odd number), you would normally go with Node Majority. The cluster will still operate with half +1 number of nodes in the cluster. If a single node fails in Production, the cluster will still run if it can still make contact with the node in the DR site. If the DR site fails, the cluster will still run in the Production site because it still has 2 nodes running, which is the minimum required to sustain the cluster overall.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually I only brought it up because sometime with in the last week or two print screens of the new questions were posted on here. I noticed a majority of the answers in this dump reflect those that were released via the screen shots. The only two things that don't match up are the quorum question and the WSUS upstream and downstream question (the d&d with Quebec).

Since it says provide high avail in the production site. I'd have to say we got the servers in the right spot (2 in production 1 in DR) it was the quorum type thats got me. The original release of this question (screen shot) has Node Majority. Not saying that it can't be wrong just would like the question vetted more on the forum. Maybe someone or people stronger on this area could take a look at it.

Nebojsa: About Q2 Exam E (Woodgrove) . I actually think computer managment is incorrect as you say. You can always remotely connect to another computer from the computer management. There you can change the shares. BUT, can you change the local folders? I don't think so. In technical requirements it states: "Manage all the share permissions and the folder permissions for the file servers from a single managment tool" ... Do you guys agree? If you do, I will change this answer also.

Curious in Exam T the question about setting up a quorum, where you put 2 computers in the productions a one in the DR. The quorum is set to Node and File. However, the last requirement states "Minimize the number of nodes and votes in the cluster"

This would mean one node in the DR but wouldn't Node and File Share Majority be the option with the most votes. After reading the below link it sounds like Node Majority would be the least.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh270280.aspx

Node and File Share Majority. Similar to Node Majority quorum mode, except that a remote file share is also configured as a voting witness <----

I think this would be a better source to look at for this question:
    technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756898%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

It's pretty clear, at least in my opinion, that adding the users to the Performance Log Users group would satisfy the requirements. Although adding them to the Administrators group obviously would also satisfy the requirements, it is not the best answer.

Found another error answer I think in Item 88 concerning Remote Desktop Services.

"-Maximize the security of remote desktop connections
    -Minimize changes to company firewall
-Provide external users with a secure connection from Windows 7 Remote Desktop Client to the RDS environment"

The current answer in the dump is "Only Remote Desktop Session Host and Remote Desktop Web Access".

The answer should be "Remote Desktop Gateway and Remote Desktop Session Host".

Reason: The requirement states the external users need to make a secure connection using the Windows 7 Remote Desktop Client software. Remote Desktop Web Access allows any user to connect using a web browser. This allows down-level clients (Windows XP) to connect even if they don't have the latest version of the RDC client. But that is not what the requirement wants. The Remote Desktop Gateway requires users to use the RDC Client 7.0 to connect while also helping to minimize firewall configuration.

I have one suggestion about Woodgrove Bank testlet for question:
You need to recommend a solution for managing the shared folders that meets company technical requirements (requirement to manage shared folders from a central location).
I think that a right answer is share and storage management, not computer management.
Please, check it. Thanks in advance
  • Isolated from United States - May 14 2012, 8:31 PM Report Spam
I think there is a wrong answer for Item 83 concerning monitoring solution.

"The monitoring solution must meet the following requirements:

-Create and modify Data Collector Sets
-Display log file data and real-time performance data in Performance Monitor

The answer given in the dump is to add the members to the Administrators group. However, I think the correct answer should be to add them to the Performance Log Users group instead. Although not specifically stated, you usually follow the principle of least privilege and adding them to the Administrators group would give them too much.

On Lucerne Publishing testlet, questions 4 and 12 are basically the same question with different wording aren't they ? If so answer on 4) is manual password change, and answer in 12) is managed service account.

In your opinion what is it ? From this :
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143504.aspx

I would say managed service account since we are talking SQL, but I'm unsure. Anyone knows for sure ? Whichever it is one of the questions (since it's the same) is wrong.

So 3.3 never became Final after all! ;) After discussion with my colleages we have to agree with Mohamed Salih. I have now changed the answer on Q86 too. Expect this to land in 3.4. For you who haven't got the time, these should be the correct answers:

A company has servers that run a Server Core installation of Windows Server 2008.

You are designing the migration of the servers to Windows Server 2008 R2. After the migration, you will install the Remote Desktop Services server role and the Print and Document Services server role on the servers.
You need to ensure that shared resources on the servers are available after the migration, and minimize administrative effort.

What should you recommend? (More than one answer choice may achieve the goal. Select the BEST answer.)

Righ answer is now: Deploy new servers with Windows Server 2008 R2 installed. Migrate the shared resources to the new servers.

You are planning to deploy new servers that will run Windows Server 2008 R2. Each server will have 32 GB of RAM.

The servers must support installation of the following role services:

    - Routing and Remote Access
    - Remote Desktop Services Gateway
    - Minimize CPU and RAM usage

You need to deploy the minimum edition of Windows Server 2008 R2 that meets the requirements.

What should you recommend? (More than one answer choice may achieve the goal. Select the BEST answer.)

Correct answer is now: A Full Installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard.

TC: Thanks for the info. I haven't tried the D&D's on my mobile, but I'm sure that you are correct that they only work on computers. Unfortunatley, I have been working with this VCE SO LONG that I simply haven't got the time to make that big adjustment, sorry. If any1 here likes to work with VCE's, feel free to modify my versions and post them here. For me, if no more incorrect answers or no more wrongly linked question exists, I will go Final. (Final will be 3.2 if no more errors are found)

    Hi Guys,
    www.2shared.com/file/ofPeoeud/70-646_32_Pass4Sures_VR_254Q.html

I agree the IE - Causing the download issues, for example: at work the IE failure - I dont have any download restrictions as being the Administrator, whereas from home it works fine.

Try different computers, different IE version, firefox, google chrome....the famous apple safari does not work. Also the vce will work on ipads, mobiles butbe aware the new D&D does not work. if Virtual-R creates a version with screen shot like the 1st version this will work on our mobile devices.

But ensure you have copies running on your work PC, Laptops, molbile devices and studies3 times per day. And ensure you use trainsignal video tut's.

I hope this helps all involved.

    Exam T Q.No 4

    Showing 2 different answers
    1. Create a file group that incorporates all the file types to be blocked.
Create a file screen template for passive screening. configure e-mail notifications to users.
Create a file screen and specify the root folder to which user profile folders are redirected.

    2. Create a file group that incorporates all the file types to be blocked.
Create a file screen template for active screening. configure e-mail notifications to users.
Create a file screen and specify the root folder to which user profile folders are redirected.

the correct answer is 2nd answer i.e "Create a file screen template for active screening." not "passive screening" which is mentioned in 1st answer

    @ Virtual-R & Nebojsa

Citypower & Light (Exam F Q7) : the correct answer is "role separation" (also dump says it) see the following article

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732590.aspx
    this article is saying that

    (Assigning roles

The CA administrator for a CA assigns users to the separate roles of role-based administration by applying the security settings required by a role to the user's account. The CA administrator can assign a user to more than one role, but the CA is more secure when each user is assigned to only one role. When this delegation strategy is used, fewer CA tasks can be compromised if a user's account becomes compromised.)

So we have to assign a separate role "Certificate manager" to the help desk technicians in the security tab of CA1 properties

    @ Virtual-R

First of all thanks a lot for your hard work

secondly as requested by you, the following 2 questions are linked to the following 2 testlet in Rude dump.

    1. You need to implement a solution for the branch office file servers that meets the company's technical requirements.

What should you implement on the branch office file servers?
    A. File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) quotas (Correct)
    B. Network Policy Server (NPS) connection request policies
    C. NTFS disk quotas
    D. Windows System Resource Manager (WSRM) resource allocation policies

This is linked to "Blue Yonder Airlines Testlet" Q. No 7

    2. You need to recommend a solution that meets the company's application provisioning requirements. What should you recommend?
    A. Create a new MEDV workspace. (Correct)
    B. Publish a new RemoteApp program.
    C. Create an application compatibility shim.
    D. Package a new application by using the AppV Sequencer.

Nebojsa, role separation can also be used in CA :
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732590(v=ws.10).aspx

C would be incorrect no matter what. Authorization manager i believe is used to give specific vm rights in hyper-v.

B could work, i need to test it in a lab to make sure. Not sure i wikl have time before i pass the exam. So if anyone else wants to weigh in, be my guest :)

Virtual-R, first thank you very much for great dump. I downloaded v.3.
I think there is a mistake which originated from Rudes dump. It is in City Power & Light Testlet.

You need to recommend a delegation solution for CA1 that meets company`s security requirements. What should you include in your recomendation:
    a) ABE
    b) Active Directory Delegation
    c) Authorization manager
    d) Role separation

The dump says that correct answer is d). I think role separation refers to RODC. I think that correct answer is c) (or maybe b).
Please guys, check on this question.
    Thanks in advance

to Virtual-R : I don't know and I will try to look into it while I work on 3.1 this week-end. However may I suggest you post 3.1 as-is for now with the current changes you planned. And should we locate where these go they can always be updated again on 3.2. Of course I'm bias since I pass in 4 days, the sooner I have the latest version the better for me :). I will also report after exam to let you know if I had the new questions in my exam and if there was still new questions or not. Both colleagues who passed with Rude said it covered about 50% only, which is why I'm so grateful for 3/3.1 from you Virtual-R (thanks again !) and these new questions.

I also received about 10 new questions from a friend (drag & drops) by email, and a colleague who passed the exam already confirmed she had one of the questions in her exam this week. If I don't see these in the 3/3.1 version, I could forward you the questions to add them to this exam as well. I will keep you posted as I was working on the testlets for now and therefor didn't check the D&D ones. I will look now though.

    To Mohamed,

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you can make it work with WMI, by targeting the type of computers, in wmic, I don't remember the exact name of the field label, but I distinctively remember checking if WMI filtering is doable and saw I could filter as the value in the field was Virtual Machine. I would therefore say that WMI is correct. However by creating a security group containing all the VMs, it could be used in security filtering. I know WMI must be used sparsely as it requires more ressources, so I'm hesitant now. The advantage of using WMI however is it's simplicity. If many servers are in different sites or OU, it's would be simpler to use WMI filtering than creating a group with all VMs. Just my 2 cents.

PS : I wouldn't mind someone else weighing in on the matter. I will also try to look more into it over the week-end if I can (as I pass on tuesday so I'm mostly working on the VCE, now on 3.1 as it has new questions and I know Rude quite well already).

Thank you guys for your comments, makes me happy :) . I have a question for you, I need help, I only got about 2 unlinked questions left (the other ones I have linked now in 3.1). Those two unliked questions, I can't for the life of me guess WHAT scenarios they belong to... Is is taispin toys? The museum? I don't know.. Here are the two that are left:

You need to implement a solution for the branch office file servers that meets the company's technical requirements.

What should you implement on the branch office file servers?
    A. File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) quotas (Correct)
    B. Network Policy Server (NPS) connection request policies
    C. NTFS disk quotas
    D. Windows System Resource Manager (WSRM) resource allocation policies

    Also, this question:

You need to recommend a solution that meets the company's application provisioning requirements. What should you recommend?
    A. Create a new MEDV workspace. (Correct)
    B. Publish a new RemoteApp program.
    C. Create an application compatibility shim.
    D. Package a new application by using the AppV Sequencer.

Any help here would be awesome, which company do they refer to?

On Citypower & Light, I noticed an error (it seems correct in Rude though), Type of disks for Failover Cluster, the V3 says GPT And Dynamic, the answer I believe is GPT and basic. (post is from December 2009, so in case it changed since, I believe this GPT + basic is the right answer)

Thx for the new dump. Just a note, it is set as 800 as passing score. Shouldn't it be 700 ? The bold font exhibits are harder to read IMHO. I'm passing next week, I hope the new questions in v3 covers the new questions in exam. In any case this new dump is highly appreciated, thank you !

Thank you everybody for your input. Let me answer your questions.
David from Spain: The size difference is because of all the extra pictures added (you have to add the scenarios as a picture, and need to add it to EVERY question, so this takes space).
Mohamed: V3 will appear as a new VCE here in a couple of hours/days, for those who did NOT WANT TO WAIT, I gave them this link hxxp://www.mediafire.com/?7jk42ys5lz8vdcg so they can dowload it right away. It is much better that v2.
Dedulas: Noone else seems to get this problem, I actually don't know why you get this, I use Visual Certexam Manager 2.5.
Dude: Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for this input, this is what i suspected, that's why I worked so much with this VCE. When I bought these questions the support actually let me peek on some of the questions, to prove the questions were new.
This warning goes to everybody: Do NOT TRUST PREPKING.COM, they are dishonest and their questions are over a YEAR old. Pass4sures.com were awesome.
