The Dump still valid in Libya, I passed Yesterday 27/5/2013 with score of 836, all questions are from this dump except the DISM question, as we have a core installation of windows server 2008 R2 and it is required to apply a server backup then the answer should include command line tools only, so the answer should be ( Run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management DISM.exe command line tool to install the windows server backup and then run the Wbadmin.exe command line tool to schedule backup jobs).
Also the SilverLight Question is the same question of (Exam C Q3) but instead of (Graphic-intensive application) it is written (Silverlight application) with the same answer choices

I also passed today with similar exam as Karid. I saw DISM question (thanks to comments for saving my butt on that one). Testlets were Contoso, City Power Light, and Lucerene. I saw a lot of Authorization related questions (or maybe seemed like a lot, could have been better prepared for that).

The correct answer is sharepoint with versioning because volume shadow copies only makes backups at certain times, not everytime the file is changed.

now the only technical requirement i can see in relation to research documents is "if a user overwrites anothers research document the user must be able to recover a previous version. in the Existing Environment it says Server1 hosts 2 file shares, one of which holds 50000 research documents.

Personally I'd go for answer B: On Server1, enable shadow copies. On all client computers, configure the Previous Versions client settings.

I passed yesterday with 9xx; I only used this dump along with cbt nuggets and hands on. I got the usual 27 questions with 3 testlets: Tailspin, School of Fine Art and Baldwin Museum. I got the Silverlight question and 2 questions previously mentioned by xray.fr - the security log q (backup automatically when full) and the monitoring q (a user defined data collector set based on system performance template). I also got the Win 7 variant of Q C2 as mentioned by Paspl, so read the questions carefully.

Just study both, find different answers in both tests? Time to do some online research. Alot of questions have a substantiated explanation, but some don't. Personal tip when studying testlets:

Example: What solution fits best with company 'security requirements'? Don't think that means all u have to do is read the security requirements. Often these questions are tricky because there's more information in the testlet that has an effect on the answer u should pick.

a lot of answers don't make sense or are just wrong. i.e. testlet contoso, question 4. raid1 is not a stripe-set, but a mirror, and raid 1 doesn't automatically offer the best performance. a raid 5 with 16 disks may offer much high performance. and data is NOT lost, when 1 drive in a raid 1 fails.

I'm not understanding why the answer is C. I feel like that only fulfills half of the requirements. A also only fulfills half of the requirements. You can have an autonomous server that downloads updates from MS Update, and you can be a downstream server in replica mode. Any ideas?

Exam K, Q7 and Q12

The article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd548356.aspx states that "Managed service accounts cannot be shared between multiple computers and cannot be used in server clusters where a service is replicated on multiple cluster nodes" . So I thing the correct answers for Q4 is D (Manual password changes) and for Q12 - A because is not specified that a special password policy is required for service accounts so it should comply with user password accounts policy of 60 days.

Passed today (806). Dump is valid but there are some questions where the answer is changed so need to pay attention. Also I got the same testlet with missing information

About Exam C, Q12. You are clearly not reading the questions right. The question states you are designing an update management solution. And later on asks you what you would recommend.

That doesn't mean your solution can not include an implementation of Active Directory. Especially since Microsoft recommends not to use WSUS without AD due to security risks.

Could anyone give me their opinion on Exam H, Q10? I would say the answer is B since that allows users to recover "A" previous version and complies to "Minimize costs". Implementing redundant sharepoint servers on all sites (files must be available if one fileserver fails) can't be right when u want to minimalize costs or are we all living in dubai now?

Dump is still valid. Scored 727 because I ONLY studied dumps for two weeks. Either study this one and know it like the back of your hand or combine it with book study.

Passed recently with 9xx. Had Baldwin Museum, School of Fine Art and Tailspin. 45 questions in total, no drag and drop questions. As mentioned by a few people now, Tailspin was missing the requirements.

Memorise Tailspin, learn everything else and you'll be fine. This exam was much easier than 640 and 642.

Passed with 8xx. 27 questions - I got Silverlight and one new question. Cases were: Tailspin Toys, Baldwin Museum of Science and School of fine Art. The questions were in different order and one drag and drop was replaced by text questions (backup log automatically then full).
The key is to understand the logic not just memorize the questions and answers especially from cases.

Anyway I studied carefully this and another dump in same time.There were questions with different responses, so I advise to do the same, in this way you learn and investigate yourself the correct response. I had 27 Q with drag and drop questions + 3 testlets (45 items): Tailspin Toys, Baldwin Museum of Science and School of fine Art.
Never mind, the dump is perfect to pass the exam!

Exam E Q15 - Select/Paste - Believe the answer is incorrect. While Med-V would work, I think that App-V is the more appropriate answer as while keeping the separation between the two environments is there, App-V will allow Office interaction between the applications that cannot be installed. Thoughts?

I agree with you guys the answer is C. The Server Core machines are located in the branch office and that is what you are running the commands on. And Server Core is command prompt based so that gives it away. Sure their are 3rd party tools that provide a GUI, but Microsoft doesnt care about that.

I have done research on Windows Serve Backup & Windows Server 2008 Core installation and found that correct answer of DISM question is C, as suggested by YYRG .

I think that the correct answer is "C". In server core you cannot use backup snap-in and you cannot use "server manager"..

Passed the exam yesterday in USA. Dump is still valid. Almost all of the questions came from the dump. One new testlest with 5 questions. The other two were Contoso and City Power and Light. Got the DISM question. Also got the three line of business question for drap and drop. My suggestion to any one taking the test is not only to memorize the answers but also learn the rationale behind it. Good luck.

A couple of recent posts mention a new testlet that's not included in this dump. Does anyone know the name of that testlet, or have any info on it?

A minor detail in Contoso, Q4, on the answer/explanation, should say RAID 0 instead of 1. RAID 1 is mirror, not stripe set w/o parity. Anyway, the dump is great, focused and organized.

TO all those that are struggling to pass with this dump.
Let me tell you, this dump is brilliant and you will pass if you study it the right way. Are far as the general Q and As, you might be able to just memorise them all and that will do you fine. But the testlets have very similar questions with only slightly different answers. You need to try to understand WHY the answer is the answer. If you have a question asking you to recommend a solution based on the technical requirements, then open the case study and read the technical requirements, then you can start to attribute an answer, based on the technical requirements. Same goes if it asks for a solution based on the security requirements - READ the security requirements before choosing your answer. AS a general rule of thumb, the following should help:

Minimise/less attack surface = Server Core

When choosing between Fibre channels and iSCSI, if the question contains 'Lun' = Storage Manager for Sans

Improve performance = Windows System Resource Manager

Control amount of disk space = File Server Resource Manager

Not connected to the network or internet = Normally hosted cached

If it's 2008 R2, the answer will contain DFS (Distributed File Services) as this has replaced FRS (File Replication Services)


Difficult to locate files in shared folder = DFS namespaces/targets (name space and targets = same thing).

Had 1 new question ,it had to do with either choosing a performance monitor data collector set or a system performance data collector set template.

I got the wmi 7 question like mentioned earlier

TAILSPIN didn't have tech requirements and I just chose the answers out of memory,I had 8 questions from that set

I also got BALDWIN and 5 q's from school of fine art
27 q's directly from the mixed q/a and drag and drop section

same happened to me on tailspin toys. in the middle of the test, i thought back to this comment haha.

most were word for word. only a few had slight changes. i did notice that the answers were rearranged. same answer that would have been a might be moved to c instead, for example.

as long as you can associate part of the question to the answer, you'll be fine. here are some examples. reduce logon time = folder redirection, deploy server os with minimal reboots = offline domain join. stuff like that.

i know how you feel with the questions..you're wondering if you can just memorize the dump..you probably can and pass, but if you study how i explained earlier, you'll not only learn more, you'll pass any scenario in the test whether questions are changed or not.

My suggestions for study. I watched the CBT Nuggets videos on the subjects I didn't fully understand. I went through the 92 questions first. I went through them twice until I could get 90% correct. I bought index cards and made flash cards to help me remember some things..like what rights the Domain Admins get and Backup Operators, etc. Then I memorized the drag and drops. Then I moved to the case studies. This is where the flash cards were really put to use. I was only getting about 30% on the case studies, but I read Gabersam's descriptions of why the answer was the correct one. I made flash cards for every technology I didn't understand. Like Desktop Optimization Pack and how that has AGPM included..blah blah blah. Then I got a bit lucky. I studied a few case studies before my test and two of the ones I studied were the ones I got!!! Anyway, good luck, everyone.

I'm confused with the answer selected for Exam C, Q12 (WSUS 3.0 deployed, all client computers running Windows 7..)
There is a requirement to select the BEST answer, and selected answer is - define WSUS at Group Policy management console.
Unfortunately, in a case scenario there isn't any information, that we have AD DS infrastructure deployed. So I think that the better answer is define WSUS at Local Group Policy.
Please share your ideas

calermo, if you're studying for the 646, i'm pretty positive you can figure out the last two questions on your own. just click it, close it, and click next. make sure when you start your tests, you turn on training mode.
