James, you have to open the file with the Visual CertExam Designer, in that case, you will have all the questions in order, and that's how we can compare Questions.
  • James from United States - Nov 11 2012, 9:39 PM Report Spam
Guys the exam engine changes every time you open and close the exam so the order changes so the answers are irrelevant as long I cant view the answers in the same order. is there a fix into that?

    Hi Guy

    Question Number 16
    Answer: D
    Why:
You have IPV4 and IPV6 in the same vlan (VLAN10)

tself went in vlan separated vlan10 for ipv4 and other vlan100 for ipv6 (example) the answer is A

You only one VLAN with PC's with IPV4 & IPV6 the answer is D

    Pv4-mapped IPv6 addresses

Hybrid dual-stack IPv6/IPv4 implementations recognize a special class of addresses, the IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses. In these addresses, the first 80 bits are zero, the next 16 bits are one, and the remaining 32 bits are the IPv4 address. You may see these addresses with the first 96 bits written in the standard IPv6 format, and the remaining 32 bits written in the customary dot-decimal notation of IPv4. For example, ::ffff:192.0.2.128 represents the IPv4 address 192.0.2.128. A deprecated format for IPv4-compatible IPv6 addresses was ::192.0.2.128.[58]

Because of the significant internal differences between IPv4 and IPv6, some of the lower-level functionality available to programmers in the IPv6 stack does not work identically with IPv4-mapped addresses. Some common IPv6 stacks do not implement the IPv4-mapped address feature, either because the IPv6 and IPv4 stacks are separate implementations (e.g., Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003), or because of security concerns (OpenBSD).[59] On these operating systems, a program must open a separate socket for each IP protocol it uses. On some systems, e.g., the Linux kernel, NetBSD, and FreeBSD, this feature is controlled by the socket option IPV6_V6ONLY, as specified in RFC 3493.[60]

    Question Number 16
    Answer: A
  • silvio from Portugal - Oct 24 2012, 3:58 PM Report Spam
    Dual IP stack implementation

Dual-stack (or "native dual-stack") refers to side-by-side implementation of IPv4 and IPv6. That is, both protocols run on the same network infrastructure, and there's no need to encapsulate IPv6 inside IPv4 (using tunneling) or vice-versa. Dual-stack is defined in RFC 4213.[50]

    Question Number 16
    Answer: A

Hey Guys I think answer of Q18 is not A its D which in 6to4 Tunneling Protocol used to configure

    6to4 performs three functions:
Assigns a block of IPv6 address space to any host or network that has a global IPv4 address.
Encapsulates IPv6 packets inside IPv4 packets for transmission over an IPv4 network using 6in4.
Routes traffic between 6to4 and "native" IPv6 networks.

Routing protocol answers are wrong. There are 4 questions about OSPF and 3 of them are wrong. I'm certain that the answer to the question about how the router ID in OSPF is chosen is Loopback first and highest interface IP second. But other answers about OSPF are wrong. So if anyone has a possibility to check them in a lab enviroment, please do so.
Next, Assess sensitive traffic and determine appropriate tools for optimizing, there are 6 questions about that topic( QoS section is a separate topic!!) and from those 6 questions half are wrong. I think these are the queuing questions. Also Multicast questions. 5 questions in the exam and we have only 2 questions out of 5 with the right answers.
IPv4 and IPv6 questions. There are 2 questions in the exam and one is right now wrong.

If we can get these topics right, then people can pass the exam.

The EAP-TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol requires that both user and authentication server have certificates for mutual authentication. While the mechanism is very strong, it requires that the corporation that deploys it maintain a certificate infrastructure for all of its users.

    Turhan,

I thinks that que answer for the question 50 is D, the ip address 10.1.40.0 is not a valid ip.

    ip pim rp-candidate
To configure a router to advertise itself to the bootstrap router (BSR) as a Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) Version 2 (PIMv2) candidate rendezvous point (C-RP), use the ip pim rp-candidate command in global configuration mode.
    ip pim bsr-candidate
To configure a router to announce its candidacy as a bootstrap router (BSR), use the ip pim bsr-candidate command in global configuration mode. To remove this router as a candidate BSR, use the no form of this command.

    que 21 is %100 C ,
By default, when the OSPF process initializes, it selects the highest IP address on a router as the router ID for the OSPF process. The router ID uniquely identifies a router within an OSPF domain.
10.1.1.5 loopback IP is highest but its not in the chooses. So the answer is C

  • Manburra from Spain - Jul 20 2012, 8:47 PM Report Spam
we need to verified the entire exam question by question, I am doing it, I need your help for this task.

    this is an example:

    1-B

    2-B
Neighbor Solicitation (NS) messages are originated by nodes to request another node's link layer address and also for functions such as duplicate address detection and neighbor unreachability detection.

    3-B
By deploying IRF in conjunction with highly-scalable 12500 switches in the core and 5830 GbE and 5820 10 GbE series switches in the access layer - IT can completely eliminate the requirement for a dedicated aggr egation layer as they scale-out data centers, and enjoy the benefits of large Layer 2 domains with increased network uptime and simplified management.

    4-D
Eliminating the aggregation layer frees up stranded capital and can
reduce network elements by up to 85 percent, saving over $180,000
USD per rack in networking equipment. HP estimates that more than
$1 billion USD is spent annually on the aggregation layer of the data
center network, and half the ports in a legacy three-tier network
are used to interconnect switches. The three-tier architecture adds
latency, which impedes performance especially in environments
where server-server or VM-VM traffic dominates. In addition to
saving on capital expenses, a flatter network means fewer devices
    to power, cool, and manage.

    http://www.networksorcery.com/enp/protocol/vrrp.htm
"The priority value for the VRRP router that owns the IP address(es) associated with the virtual router MUST be 255. VRRP routers backing up a virtual router MUST use priority values between 1 and 254. The default priority value for VRRP routers backing up a virtual router is 100. The priority value zero (0) has special meaning indicating that the current Master has stopped participating in VRRP. This is used to trigger Backup routers to quickly transition to Master without having to wait for the current Master to timeout."

For some questions I found different answers

Q35: B - The whole purpuse of EAP-TLS is that the client(supplicant) is using certificates to authenticate.

Q33: E - The default cost for 1Gbps links and higher is 1, because the cost is calculated using formula (ref-bw value divided by the bandwidth, with mbps equal to 10^8 by default). So if we change the referenced bw to 10000, then our 10Gbps link would get the cost of 1, but our 1Gbps link gets the cost of 10.

@h2 about question 20. If no priority is configutred it means it is 100. Switch B has 110. Preemption is enabled by default so answers is logically C. When it is up it is allways master.

    7) B - There are 4 outbound queues(1 Low, 2 Normal, 3 Medium, 4 High) and dscp value of 40 is mapped by default to dot1p value of 5(if you view the dscp-to-dpt1p mapping in a switch). And that is placed in the outbound queue of 3. I'm not 100% sure of this.

11)D - I've tested the configuration on a GNS3 lab with Cisco devices and the (*,239.255.1.1) was present on all the switches.
    18) A - Manually configured tunnel—The destination address(IPv4) of the tunnel cannot be automatically acquired
through the destination IPv6 address of an IPv6 packet at the tunnel source, and must be manually
    configured.
    20) A - Default priority is 100. So if VRRP is set-up with default setting, then SW A should have default priority.
24)B - A stub area is an area in which you don't allow advertisements of external routes, thus reducing the size of the database. Stub area cannot contain an AS boundary router and has no external routes in it. A default summary route (0.0.0.0) is inserted into the stub area in order to reach these external routes. If you have no external routes in your network, then you have no need to define stub areas.

    27) My answer is C: in Q-in-Q mixed mode two separate physical connection exist between the service provider switch; one for the S-VLAN carrying customer traffic and a second for management of the provider switch infrastructure , maintained using a C-VLAN, so, Port A1 is connected to a device in the service provider's network and transmits traffic to and from that device.
  • lguerra from Unknown - Jul 18 2012, 6:10 PM Report Spam
    26) My answer is B-E: on 5800 Switch, when a frame arrives on a port with MAC-Address-Based VLANs configured, it tagged (VLAN tag: 2 on the exhibit) the packet is treated according to the Port-Based VLANs configured . In this case Port-Based VLANs is “port hybrid vlan 2 untagged”, the vlan 2 is permitted and The switch forwards the frame.
  • lguerra from Unknown - Jul 18 2012, 5:52 PM Report Spam
    25) My answer is A: This is a typical Provider Switch configuration, the port on provider Switch that connect to customer network should be untagged and configured in S-VLAN type (Vlan 101 SVLAN in in the exhibit). On the customer network, the port that connects to provider can be tagged (Vlan 20 in the exhibit). For identify the S-VLAN the Switch add a second 4-byte 802.1Q tag and forward the packet.
  • lguerra from Unknown - Jul 18 2012, 4:58 PM Report Spam
    14) my answers is D: first of all there is a mistake on the exhibit “All Vlan implements PIM-SM” because I know that Graft message is used in PIM-DM only. Second, when host join the group after the multicast session has started, the Switch A send a PIM Graft message upstream to Switch B, in the exibit 2, the IP address of the multicast source is 10.1.20.10/32 (Vlan on Switch B) so the answer in D “A new multicast source for 239.0.0.1 has begun to transmit in a VLAN connected to routing switch B”

    I have c for q9 too.

What about q28? a & c are wrong. b & d are correct, but the question talks about a large site, so embedded db won't work too well. I guess that leaves d. What do you think?
  • nobody from Slovenia - Jul 16 2012, 6:34 AM Report Spam
9C?, A is wrong, B is wrong, between C and D I believe that C is probably correct.
  • h2 from Estonia - Jul 16 2012, 5:28 AM Report Spam
For 36 it must be C

    Port Security
Using Port Security, you can configure each switch port with a unique list of
the MAC addresses of devices that are authorized to access the network
through that port. This enables individual ports to detect, prevent, and log
attempts by unauthorized devices to communicate through the switch.
Note: This feature does not prevent intruders from receiving broadcast and multicast
    traffic.
Learn-Mode Configured. This option allows only MAC addresses specifically
    configured with learn-mode configured mac-address < mac-address >, and
does not automatically learn non-specified MAC addresses learned from the
    network.

    Mac Lockout
You can think of MAC Lockout as a simple blacklist. The MAC address is
locked out on the switch and on all VLANs. No data goes out or in from the
blacklisted MAC address to a switch using MAC Lockout.
MAC Lockout overrides MAC Lockdown, port security, and 802.1x authentication.
You cannot use MAC Lockout to lock:
    • Broadcast or Multicast Addresses (Switches do not learn these)
    • Switch Agents (The switch’s own MAC Address)

    Mac lockdown
MAC Lockdown ensures that traffic intended for a specific MAC address can
only go through the one port which is supposed to be connected to that MAC
    address.
When a device’s MAC address is locked down to a port
(typically in a pair with a VLAN) all information sent to that MAC address must
go through the locked-down port. If the device is moved to another port it
cannot receive data. Traffic to the designated MAC address goes only to the
allowed port, whether the device is connected to it or not.
