Just focus on Exam questions!

1: DNS: Make a primary zone into active integrated and secure only
2: You will be asked to diable client-initiated updates from the domain treyresearch.com zone in dns from the dns console only

Answer) RIght click on the zone in the console and go to properties and where it says Dynamic Updates, click on the drop down and select none and click ok, that's all

3: simulation was about a user trying to login to the remote access server through vpn and the settings must be for the server to dial back to the user, but after the user logs in he gets disconnected. When you start the simulation, two windows are open a) User properties window and b) Remote Acess Server properties window

Answer: On the user properties window, click on the dialin tab and change the setting from server should call back to set by the caller. On the remote access window, put a check next to router and select Lan Routing and Demand dial routing and click ok that's all


4: A Windows Server 2003 named Sever 10 will have SUS installed on port 8253 and you need to configure all clients to receive all updates through group policy editor. Again it will take u to the gpo editor computer configuration.
answer) Here there are two settings that u need to enable. The first one is the automatic updates, enable that and set the drop to auto download and set the time to midnight. Then the second policy you need to look for is the location of update and make sure u enable and type the server url to be http://server10:8453 in both fields

5: You get an ip and range 192.168.1.x

I had 31 Q and 9 sims. Some of sims got same like posted here but some had different. I don't remember all sims but I'm sure that I had:

RRAS: assign smart card authentication

Two sims I had about TCP/IP One about GPO and 2 about IPsec and one about services

But also you should expect different as well. Don't worry sims are not that difficult if you use TestOut.

and it still 100% valid. it was tough for me because i only studied this vce for 2 days before exam.

I`ve just passed the exam with a score of 914...
Tks a lot to all. specially to those who posted explanations about simulations.
I used Microsoft Braindump 70-291 v2009-02-28 corrected Ray 209q.vce
I had 10 simulations. but i`m not sure to remember all of them

delegation control : You`ll have to delegate control to david so he can add and delete user account in sale OU. delegation control wizard will be opened. in the user or group click add, click advance, click find now and just make sure that you select david. In the task to delegate select create, delete and manage user accounts

subnet mask : one network 192.168.1.0/24 with 3 subnets of 10 computers each. you`ll be asked to put the right subnet mask in TCP/IP properties of a computer which have IP 192.168.1.1 default gatway 192.168.1.17. i`m not really sure but i think the answer was 255.255.255.224

Assign the use of smart card In the edit dial-in profile, click authentication tab click EAP Methode button click add and select smart card.

2 subnets with a router between, you have server1 in the first subnet, and users in subnet 2 should not be able to connect that server. you have to do it in TCP/IP properties of the server

Reservation for a DHCP client. Right-click reservation in DHCP console click new reservation. in reservation name field type the computer name, put his IP and mac address, click add and close

IPSec: you have to make sure that your servr can only have encrypted communications. Right-click secure server (require security) click assign.

This is what i can remember but i`m sure you`ll find help in other posted replies.
