How to make the Cisco 640-802 Testout simulations work!

Flash Step-by-Step Tutorial...It's a couple of Steps so the SWF might be a little big. 15mb

Keep in mind that you might not need to do a Testout Update...but I did it anyways.

Workaround to make all New TESTOUT work same time ..
*Follow all the steps mentioned earlier to bypass activation & making new CCNA Product work
*Now Extract Testout 642-802 to a folder or Mount it using ISO/Deamon Tools
*Copy all folders under TESTOUT from the 642-812 ISO Image & paste them in TESTOUT installation folder (Program Files\Testout)
*Over write the existing folders (it will not have any effect on ur new CCNA 802 or any other TESTOUT Course Files already installed)
*Create a shortcut on desktop for c802cle.xml
*Right click it, select GENERAL TAB
*Click on CHANGE where it says Open With " XML Editor "
*Browse to Program Files\TestOut\cmi and select ' navigator '

Thats it now u have Both CCNA & CCNP 812 or any other working same time .. follow the same procedure for all TESTOUT Products..
** Remember to follow the same Procedure for CCNA802..... to make it work without using TESTOUT standard Navigator

Keep in mind that the simulations on the Testout Cisco 640-802 will not work unless you do this hack using the old Testout CCNA 640-801. And also, I didn't rename the folders...I copied the data from the new ISO and replaced the files already in the old CCNA setup with the same folder structure of the New ISO. Then do step 5 to rename the XML file. I guess it needs to register the Router simulator which it did with the old CCNA setup. I'm not sure how longer we can do this but I also updated the old 640-801 setup from Testout's server before doing the hack. So far all simulations I tried worked but there were to many to checkout.

Are you sure you didn't do anything else? I can't get the simulations to work. I did everything you wrote but get an error when trying to start a simulation.

Some components needed by this simulation have not been installed.

Here's what I did:
Installed CCNA 640-801
Copied the files from 640-802
Renamed c802cle.xml to ccna3cle.xml

The 640-801 simulations worked earlier.
