2 months of studying for thet exam,
videos, pdf's and google.
security+ (SY0-101) have
100q and 90min on the exam.
i looked over the vce and p4s engine..
but no one was valid for thet exam..
hard exam guys.

I failed the Sec + today using CompTIA ActualTests SY0-101 v2008-07-23 by poletay 429q.vce

The test hardly has 10% of the actual test material. Security + is coming out with a 2008 version in October. Not sure what to do. All I know is I needed a 764 to pass and I got a 390.

Was that the only study material you used?

I'm currently studying, however the Q&A's are purely a middle section. Read the book, Q&A's, read the book again. From other post comments, I'm worrying whether this won't be enough as the exam's changed Confused

If you divulge yourself in the books you should be fine, yes, that was primarily the only study material i used. I hardly looked at any books or powerpoints thinking I was savvy enough to pass. Make sure you study up on 3DES and IDS. There were a ton of questions on IDS.

i assuming thet the questions ther change regularly..
i passed thet exam with:
Cbt Nuggets CompTIA Security+
Cbt Nuggets Certified Ethical Hacker (a lot of information for CEH\Security+)
Sybex_CompTIA_Security__Studyguide_3rd_Ed.pdf

and a lot of google! (help me the most), to see how thing works,
and more understand able.
