I am playing around a bit with Windows vista, and tried to install VCE 1.7 on the system. The installshield wizzard reports the following probelm and stops the installation:

Error Code: -5009 : 0x8002801d
Error Information:
>Kernel\CABFile.cpp (263)
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1611)
PAPP:Visual CertExam Suite
PVENDOR: (http://www.visualcertexam.com)
PGUID:E0649555-ACA7-4E2D-9490-0AEB158693EF
$7.1.100.1248PAK
@Windows (5384) IE 7.0.5384.4

Anybody an idea what to d? Wait untill VCE comes with a VISTA-ready version?
I also tried to run the file as administrator, but that resulted in the same problem

I think the problem is in InstallShield.

Probably there is at least one solution: you can try to run installed version of VCE. Jus copy all files of VCE from the Program Files folder and it should work.

Wow, that's a breakthrough

Why didn't I think of that?

Seriously, I can't understand people's complains about Vista so far. The beta version not stable at all, why would you use it as your primary system?

I am not complaining about Vista. I am just playing with it. Yesterday I tried to see if VCE worked on Vista, and it didn't. So I filled a report to Microsoft, VCE and asked a question here, since this is the place to ask people about experience with VCE.

I installed Vista Enterprise last night and had the install problem until I ran Windows Updates.. now Installshield works without having to do any abnormal tweaks. FYI

I'm running fine, without any problems with Windows Vista.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed in my both machines (notebook and PC)

I'm running the VCE 1.9.815 version
