Hey! I have the exact same problem. I would like to know what you mean with 70-620/Netframework 2 tric, I've been looking through this forums but havn't got an idea yet.

I got the Simhost has stopped working, I'm using Vista, don't know the version of netframework if that is important. Everything else works like a charm, but the simulations crash.

Haven’t tried it with vista because I installed a copy of xp onto VMWare workstation instead.

Following what others had said…

- Uninstalled all Frameworks, 3 then 2 then 1.

- Installed copy of testout 70-620 onto hdd.

- Allowed testout 70-620 to install framework 2.

- Did NOT install any higher framework [no need, might mess it up anyway]

- Loaded 70-640 etc on DVD drive
[used Alcohol 120% virtual drive actually but VMWare can access physical host hard drive and you can “Share” drives or folders from host machine if necessary to virtual machine so you don't have to copy iso over, but that’s an aside ]

- Opened the Outlines folder from 70-640 in the virtual DVD drive and ran the XML file with Navigator.exe.
Navigator.exe is found in 70-620 CMI folder [use “open with” on the xml file…].

Works.

As said, haven't tried it in a vista machine.

Good luck :)

I can't play the simulations on Windows 7, Vista, or XP. I don't see anything about this on the boards. I can get Labsim to run by using the Navagator.exe or by installing 70-294 then pasting in the 70-642 files. So the program runs fine and plays all the videos, it just won't play the sims. Here's the error I keep getting:

The file "c:\program files\testout\sims\server2008\nwipman.rdx" is not a recognized resource type.

The files are there the program just doesn't see them. Give me some clue..! Someone needs to write a keygen for this program, wish I had the know-how...

The sims from the 70-294 program runs fine but I can't get it to play the 70-642 sims.

Nevermind. I got it to work once I used 70-620 as the base instead of 70-294. Kick ass!

HaPPY dAYS.

Tried installing 70-290, 70-294 etc. like many others who were getting peeved

It was removing all frameworks and letting 70-620 install framework 2 that ultimately worked :D

Hi everyone,

Tried everything in the topic finally below steps worked.

No need for old version of testout

1-Install the Labsim
2-Copy the xml file from the dvd/ISO (X:\Testout\Outlines) to your desktop.
3-Open the xml file with notepad and click edit and then select and click "replace".
4-In the "find what" field type "..".
6-In the "Replace with" field type "X:\Testout", where X is the letter of your virtual drive.
7-Click "Replace all" and then save and close the file.
8-Right click the xml file and select "open with".
9-Browse to "C:\Program Files\TESTOUT\Orbis\Legacy" and select "LegacyXEng.exe".

update windows media player 11

everything works including stimulations on windows 7 :D

Postby ultraxmode » Tue Nov 17, 2009 5:54 pm

Hi, I just installed Testout's 70-620 (Vista Certification) and it runs all right..

BUT

When I try to run a simulation it gives me a large error message with something like code on it... something about "simhost : an attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format"

Image

What is this ? I cannot run simulations!!

Any help appreciated !!!

PS : I am running Windows 7 64bit.

I tried installing Testout's Windows Vista 70-620 Certification on Windows XP SP3 and it runs ok.

Does anybody knows why it isn't running on my Windows 7 64bit rig ?
