I passed today as well with 875.

The exam was not easy at all. It had 50 questions which 15 were simulations.

The theory questions out of the 35 about 10 were from 70-620.v2009-05-19.by.LoneWolf.225q.vce

Rest completly and utterly new stuff. I passed those from my knowledge and experience with Vista. Just remain calm and take the exam slowly.

The simulation questions, out of the 15 about 5 were from LoneWolf. If you know you way around Vista you will be fine, as the simulations are not hard.
Pay extra attention to all your networking knowledge cover the basics to routing etc.

However DO NOT rely on the brain dumps, if you use them as practice and work through the manuals you will pass.

Number of Questions = 50

2 or 3 new question

the new sim is about u need to let user can't install program and change system settings and u are admin ,u log in a admin and passwrod is password
i don't know what is answer
u can enter only the local security polocy and user account option
i chose behavior of the elevation prompt for stand user:automatically deny......
and most important thing is that u can't rely on dumps
u need to read the ms book and install vista and practice a lot

Passed with 925/1000

50 questions including 13 sims.
2 ½ hours.

All sims covered in Lone Wolf sims, with slight variations on how to complete the tasks.
All questions (except one) are in the 134q.vce.

The one question not covered is a ‘Hot Spot’ to do with Power Options, I chose to alter the Display Brightness.

It was something like 'You want to reserve as much battery power as possible while still actively working...'

And it showed a picture of the Power Options>Change settings for this plan: Power Saver.

So those are the options you get to click on.

I studied using TestOut, CBT Nuggets, Train Signal and WinStructor. I also studied the MS Press book a few times and hands on experience at work.

Next... The 70-290...

Used only Pass4Sure questions, no sims.

I can also vouch for the advice "Don't Panic!"

I fumbled around in the Sims but there are CLEARLY no penalties for making wrong guesses, as long as the end result is correct.

Most stuff is similar to XP as I had no serious time playing with Vista, much as I haven't seen fit to learn to ride a unicycle yet.

I haven't looked at the SIMs by LoneWolf but it sounds as though they would have boosted my score well north of 800.

Setting up a WindowsMeeting and Remote Assistance were two areas that were a little touch and go for those of us who haven't muddled with Vista. In the sim you set up both the user setting up the meeting/assistance and the participant / tech answering the call.

I'll be sure to drop in for future tests and post anything that will be of use when the materials aren't perfect.

To Microsoft's credit (much as I loathe to utter those words), this test did not suffer the same ignominious reliance on memorization of trivia which makes me despise most cert exams. That pointless worship of rote memory left me with the lack of respect for the system that had me using "practice exams" to begin with.

70-620 passed.

Hi!!!

Passed last friday (03/07/09) with 950 score. I took the exam in Madrid (Spain), but in english (US) language.

50 questions with about 15 -20 sims.
I used "Microsoft Pass4sure 70-620 v2009-05-19 by LoneWolf 225q.vce", "Microsoft.Pass4Sure.70-620.v2.73.corrected.by.mcse.cop.112q.vce", MeasureUp_Vista_70-620_Practice_Exam, and the MOC 5118A & 5119A books.

Some new questions and new sims, but about 70% Lonewolf vce and sims are still valid. (Thanks a lot, Lonewolf!!)

New questions and sims were not too hard, so exam is still quite simple if you've used W. Vista a little bit.

So don't worry, and go for it!!!

Questions

Postby dymentiaz » Fri Jul 10, 2009 8:27 am

Hey Guys,

I,m new to this form. I will have my examen in a couple of weeks but need some advice.
I,m preparing this by using study books but would like to use the test exams as well, for example the lonewolf exam. I saw that this exam had 225 questions. Is it wise to study and remember all these questions? and will definaly help me pass my exam?
Sorry for this question but since you already did the exam, you might give me a good answer on this and maybe some quick study tips.

Thanks guys.

I took this test today and passed with a 975/1000.

It was 50 questions with about 12 sims.

All of the questions came from LoneWolf and the 134. Most of the sims were similar to the Lonewolf sims.

I used:

Vista class I took at community college
Textbook (wiley). Read this 3x
Lonewolf's VCE, the 134 VCE. MSCEcops VCE.
Various notes that are posted in PDF form over the internet on Vista.

I found that using the dumps helped me find out what my strengths and weaknesses were. Anyone can memorize answers, but if you really don't understand what is going on you are more likely to confuse answers, and you won't know what to do when you need to do something in the real world. Just seeing questions and the way they are worded was a big help.

You must know how to do the sims using control panel. Most of the places you would usually go were disabled. You need to actually do this a few times on your own so you are ready when you get the sims on the test. For example, Network and Sharing center would be disabled.

Among my sims:

Configure windows update for a certain date and time

Cancel a scan in Windows Defender and specify where to scan.

Configure remote assistance

RSS feed. Schedule time for one feed.

Disable secure desktop

Meeting Space - Configure and set up an invite for someone who has not used it before

Media Sharing: Kind of an odd question about someone trying to share media during a presentation. I wasn't sure if they were trying to play the media, or use share it in meeting space. At any rate, it didn't work in Media Player and you have to figure out how to share it.

I got the same question LoneWolf did about configuring a laptop to save battery power. You are given three options.

Make it so that a user name and password have to be entered in order to change/add

You can reset each sim to start over. It only counts the stage you left the sim in. I answered all the multiple choice questions and the easy sims (such as Windows Update) first and then went back and did the sims.

I thank this site, the board, and especially Lonewolf for his efforts. Working together helps all of us learn faster, especially when you give back. Thank you!
