passed 70-290 on Sep 18

Postby JohnDoe » Sat Sep 19, 2009 7:05 am

I have passed the 70-290 exam on friday 18 sep in germany.
Score 971/1000. Another student 1000.

40 questions, 2 or 3 new ones
6 sims: reset password/unlock user-account, set disk-quotas with ! no limit on one existing user, restoring a disk from given backup-tapes (full-bu, diff, diff, incr),
Overall it was not hard to pass it. My preparation based on this vce:

Microsoft.Testinside.70-290.v2009-01-12.Complementing.Dundar.by.cchelo.177q.vce

It is fully valid.
Many thanks to the author for supplying with this vce.

regards

-modifying permissions in advanced sec settings
-managing computer account in AD
-creating dynamic disk
-performing restores after disk crash using ntbackup
-managing distribution groups
-user account properties modification
-setting a roaming profile
-AD stuff mostly

The sims are not so difficult for someone who has a decent idea about Server 2003 features are.

simulations are randomly picked, it will be based on your years of experience administering win2003 server. before starting the exam, they will be asking a few questions with regards to the length of years of your experience.

my only basis is my work experiences on a win 2003 server environment, i answered the interview that i got HIGH LEVEL of knowledge in administering ACTIVE DIRECTORIES and Permissions so almost all of the 10 sims were from active directory and permission configurations.
