Number 8 is definitely "A". I've been trying to figure the other questions out. I researched the Vista one, but I don't think it's "Aero" since that feature has additional requirements (but I'm still not sure).

Took the test today. Passed with an 8XX. About 50 % of the questions are same. 25% worded differently and 25% new. Read questions carefully and eliminate 2 out of 4 answers by common sense. From the balance 2 choices pick the one that make sense and pray till you see the 'pass' sign :-)

"B. Clean exterior and check vents"
I would pick that too because simply wiping the exterior won't help with dust on a computer and we know vacuum are always a big "no" on computers. I am surprised "compressed air" is not an option for the computer.

@ vader
I did notice many of Yo's questions on the test. The one I had trouble with was the printer question regarding doing the maintenance. There was also a cleaning the computers and its vents question.
You notice dust on computers and monitors. How do you clean it?
A. Wipe down exteriors.
B. Clean exterior and check vents
C. Vacuum the dust.
I chose B.
This is Yo's problematic question:
10.The printer is displaying a maintenance kit error. You have replaced the maintenance kit but the error is still there. What will most likely eliminate the error?
A. Update the Drivers and Firmware.
B. Replace the printer with a new one.
C. Restart the printer. (I think it was actually Turn printer off and on)
The "D" choice that's left out is "D. Contact the service rep to reset the maintenance counter."
I chose D because why would you restart the printer if the printer is already off? And restarting it doesn't reset the maintenance counter.

congrats george!! I'll be taking it in FEB (the last month that 602 is used before being changed to 702). I'm guessing some of the ques may have also come from the 601 test too. I'm also hoping that this dump and Jack697 will be sufficient enough. Did you use Yo's questions too?

I just took the test today. Passed with an 867. I would say the exam had maybe HALF or LESS of the questions in this dump. About 25 of them, I had to take educated guesses. I was very nervous. Out of those 25, I had no idea as to the answer for about ten of them. NO CLUE. I did try to eliminate half of the possible answers. I'm drawing a blank as to the questions, though.
Here's a few:
1.What type of printer is used to print large documents:
-solid ink; inkjet; linear something; dot matrix. (I chose solid ink)
2. Something about changing Windows disk to dynamic disk; choose three:
-mirror; striping; RAID 5; simple volume?; spanned (I know I didn't choose RAID 5 but I think RAID 5 is one of the answers)
3. Configuring a port for a remote UNIX printer:
-USB; LPR; (I forgot the rest of the choices; I chose LPR because that was the only UNIX command, I think)
4. 1600x1200 true color requires how many RAM MB on video card?
-6; 16; 32; 64. (I chose 64 but I know now that it's 6? true color is 24-bit, correct?)
5.Which logs to check for application installations and performance:
-system; security; event; something else (I chose system.)
6. Technician changes permissions on user computer to prevent access to a folder. Later, technician sees that the user has accessed the folder. Why?
-permissions have not propagated to that workstation; NTFS permissions overrides user folder permissions; user logged in as someone else; etc. (i chose NTFS. I don't know if this is correct)

Your version of the question is correct. I just abbreviated it for the sake of laziness. I'm just wondering why the answer is to configure the printer to use a different port. What does that have to do with the fuser. I have to assume this dump is incorrect.

What should the Certkiller .com technician do to resolve a fuser error code' problem on a laser printer?
a. Replace the printer's fuser unit.
b. Replace the printer's corona wire.
c. Recalibrate the printer.
d. Restart the printer.
Maybe it's the order of things presented because in this case, the fuser unit is replaced. It's "A".

george, the same exact question can be found in ActualTest by jack697 (vce file). It's worded better too:
You have recently been asked to troubleshoot a fuser error code on a laser printer. You are required to select which action to take in order to solve the problem at hand.
What should you do?
a. You should consider having the paper tray type used changed.
b. You should consider replacing the printers Serial or USB cable.
c. You should consider configuring the printer to use a different port.
d. You should consider having the printer's fuser unit replaced with a working one.
The correct answer is the same: "C". I like the wording of the question better though. Hope this helps.
