Used this dump and practiced over and over again. Really helped with a lot of the questions. Passed with a 743. Make sure you know all the sims explained. They will be on the test. My very first 3 questions was the motherboard naming sim, differentiating the requirements for a CAD computer and a home pc.

Took today and passed with a 783 test was 83 questions. I used this dump and Professor Messer vids... SIMS were exactly the same!! I had BlueTooth, 2 SOHO Set-Up, MOBO componets, Gaming and Cad PC parts and i forgot last one. Only saw about 5 questions from this dump i must say the Professor Messer videos helped me more than anything cause i only had a week to study. Alot of questions on cabling types n connectors, Wireless speends n types and printers...Good Luck!!

Hi All
I scored 854/900 in exam.
Exam wan't too hard don't completly rely on any dumps. Read books or any appropriate materials you are using. Pr messar videos will help.
all the sims are same as discussed here
be ready to give answer of any new questions as they won't be too hard but it will keep you thinking.
Study hard and be confidant
GUI isn't that good for sims so be careful when you drag and drop
All the best

Took exam this morning and passed with 783 out of 1000. I studied all of the topics from a comptia book and then did a lots of practice with these dumps.
Its still valid
And also another cristino's 475 dump, there r some different questions in that dump which were in my exam.
Don't rely completely on the dumps, do some studies as well from the books.
Thanks everyone

Now preparing for 801

Good luck

Took the 801 today and passed with 800.. I used this VCE along with Cristianos other with 296 questions. I had a good 50 % of these questions and the other questions I have never seen before. Make sure to study the sims below. Very important and that's prolly what saved me. Also know Cat Cabling speeds and range. Know your 10base 1000base ect. Also know your 802 standards, IPV4-6. Printers a lot of printer questions. Good luck! Don't get all nervous its not that bad if you take the time to study not only the vce's but other info as well. Whats to be nervous about? All they do is put a camera right in your face and watch u test.. For me anyway but I forgot all about the camera as soon as it started. Had 90 min I was done in 30. So you will have plenty of time to take a breath and go back and review all of your answers.

Finished this today, got 815. all SIMS mentioned are exactly the same. Read this dump completely and also go through an older one by Cristiano that has 475 questions. Along with this Prof Messers video for printers and networking is very useful along with practical understanding and some common sense. I am making notes of the questions for a friend taking the test in a few days time. Mail me at anoop.rk84@gmail.com and I will send the observations to you. that alone should be able to fetch you close to 600 marks. Good luck!

Took & passed test yesterday with 884. I used this vce (Thanks Cristiano!!!). I got 8 sims first, then 64 questions. I read 2 ebooks and then practice/review with this VCE. I can say that 70% of the questions are word-by-word on this VCE.

I also read/practice with other (more recent) VCE's... wise decision. I only had 5 questions I had never seen before... but I could figure out the solutions.

I found the hardest the sims. Why? Because I'm an ULTRA moron and I skipped through the comments, which have them all. PLEASE... take 5 mins of your time, and write down the information on the sims (so you remember). You will be VERY happy you did.

Again, to add to ooxenoxxsagaoo's comments on the sims:
Sim #1 --- Build a virtual server running Windows 2008, a CAD PC, and AV editing pc machine. There is more hardware than slots... so you will have parts missing. Some parts look real, but they don't exist.

Sim #2 --- Three columns, given a Virtual PC, Thick Client and Gaming PC. There are no extra parts, so you can do this. I will suggest doing the Gaming PC (cooling, high end GPU), then Virtual PC (high end CPU, max ram, high end PSU), then Thick client (Win7-32, integrated video).

Sim #3 --- Identify the motherboard layout. Take a look at htt*s://www.google.com/search?q=motherboard+layout look at several labeled motherboards and you be fine.

Sim #4 --- Identify and match connector type. Google the image of each connector. Not hard.

Sim #5 --- Connection Max Distance and General Use.
Bluetooth = 100m, headset
Infared < 100m, interrupt motion sensor
Satellite > 100km, communications

Sim #6 --- Given two motherboard layout, Gaming PC vs Server

Sim #7 --- SOHO Setup at Library

Sim #8 --- SOHO Setup at home

Last piece of advice... go read ALL the comments from all the 801 tests! They will help!

Passed with 828 today (Dec.23rd)

8 sims right out of the gate with a total of 72 questions, so use the sim dumps that have been posted here, they are very accurate. The tough sim is the one where there are more options to choose from the drag and drop. Identify the motherboard was the 1st sim.

Saw about 5 questions word-for-word from Cristiano's dump, definitely helped answering similar questions, 2-3 wireless 802.11 questions, 2-3 printer differential questions, 2-3 RAID questions, a Toner probe question, ecc memory question, MSDS question, OLED Plasma, etc..Telnet port question, DB-15, DDR-186 pin, Fiber-optic, Plenum, APIPA, Wireless channels to avoid crosstalk 1-11, external eSATA question.

Laptop question about using a USB keypad for data entry, Impact printer ribbon, thanks to all who have posted here.

December 19th and just passed with an 809. Honestly it was harder than I expected. I memorized three different VCE files on ExamCollection and still only saw 21 questions on the test from the VCEs. I know I got really lucky on multiple questions b/c I didn't think I passed. I got all 8 sims that other people mentioned and they were the first 8 questions I got, which kind of psyched me out a little. The first sim was VERY hard and sadly there has not been anyone who has published the answers yet (that I could find).
Sim #1
You need to build a Virtual Server running Win 2008 with 10 users, a CAD PC, and AV editing machine. This Sim has a lot of options/parts and this is where you can do a lot of mistakes, because there is no process of elimination.

The other SIMS were all easy. On the SOHO ones, pay attention because one of them has MAC filtering and you need to disable it, and another didnt have "enable wireless checked". Also change wireless channel on both SIMS. If you pay attention on those two, they are very easy.

The only other SIM that was challenging at all is below. Thankfully it was easy b/c someone else previously stated the answer, just memorize it.
Thick Client PC --- 250W, Intel i3, Shared Video, Windows 7 32-bit Pro, 2GB DDR3 Ram, 250GB HDD
Gaming PC --- 900W/800W, Intel i5, Dual 1GB DDR5 PCIe x16, Cooling Case, 8GB DDR3 Ram, 250 SSD
Home Theater PC --- psu: 250w/HTPC, cpu: amd phenom, video: 1gb ddr5, special component: tv tuner,
ram: 4gb ddr3, hdd: 1 tb hdd

I am very glad I passed and now on to the 802 test.

Thank you to everyone who posted on here, it was a lot of help.

-Printers inkjet, laser etc.
-Motherboard layout (DRAG&DROP SIM)
-How to configure and secure a wireless SOHO.

I also commented on the (Aug 09, 2013) dump with 164+ votes, because that's the dump I studied with. SO check that out. Best of luck techs!

I took the test on Dec 9th, and passed.

Most of the dumps including this one have maybe 20/30% of the questions, perhaps less, most of the questions I saw I had never seen before, e.g the correct order of wires in a RJ-45 connector...

The sims I got were:

-Bluetooth/Ir/Satellite ranges/uses
-Connections on on a mobo, e.g PCI 1x/4x/16x/IDE/USB/FLOPPY
-Soho router for a library - EASY
-Router config with MAC filtering - EASY
-CAD/Gaming/Thick client
-Another one with a server which I found very hard as there are so many choices and you don't have to use them all.
- Video connectors.

I'd recommend just redoing each of these dumps over and over combined with a book. Good luck!
