I took my 220-701 today and passed 822/900!
If you do all the practice tests in this dump and pay attention to what you get wrong, the actual test will be easy. I finished in only 20 minutes. 85/100 questions on the exam I had seen before in this dump.

that APIPA question gives the wrong answer i looked it up. The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved 169.254.0.0-169.254.255.255 for Automatic Private IP Addressing. As a result, APIPA provides an address that is guaranteed not to conflict with routable addresses.found on this address>http://www.petri.co.il/whats_apipa.htm

From India, Bangalore city. Took this exam on 21st Jan 2012. Out of hundred questions almost 30 questions were completely new that are not there in any of the dumps in this site. Somehow managed to pass by scoring 860 after spending a lot of time thinking while answering each of the new questions.
My Suggestions:
1. Don’t be over dependent on these dumps. Your technical knowledge is very important. Had I not got fair knowledge of computer technology I may have failed the exam. Rs.8800/- would have gone down the drain.
2. In accuracy in Biglee and Carol’s dumps : There are almost 6 to 7 questions in these dumps have wrong answers. Refer to Mandieee’s dump. Mandieee’s dumps have all right answers to all the questions.
Let me know if anybody needs any further information.

APIPA
In Microsoft Windows, when a DHCP server fails, APIPA - Automatic Private IP Addressing, allocates IP addresses in the private range 169.254.0.1 to 169.254.255.254.
Clients verify their address is unique on the network using ARP. When the DHCP server is again functional and able to service requests, clients update their addresses automatically.
So there are some typos in this dump. The correct answer has to begin with 169.

Enrique: Davian is right 170.anything has nothing to do with APIPA..It is just s typo for the 257...probably lazy error checking by the original writer at realexam (or whoever they ripped a copy from)and typed on numpad

There's no way that an athlon 64 has better performance than a core 2 quad just google it. also i have studied big lees dumps and carol's and there are like 10 different answers to the same questions, i realize that when you take the test, comptia doesnt tell you which ones you got correct and they dont tell you the right answers so some of them i will put what I think is the right answer tomorrow when i take the exam. It's great to have the questions here though.

Which of the following processors would provide the BEST performance?
The "correct" answer is Single Core Athlon64 1.8 to 2.8 GHz 2MB cache
I chose the 64-bit Core 2 Quad 2.0 to 3.0 GHz 1066 to 1333 MHz FSBus 4 to 12 MB cashe.
May be a "trick" question because care quads are not advertised as 64-Bit Core 2 Quad even thought they are 64 bit....

which of the following is an example of a valid IPv4 address for assignment to a network host ?
172.20.255.254 but i think there is no more we can 254 so how can it be 255?
1) 127.0.0.1 This is the loop back address
2)169.257.29.1 This is a APIPA address
3 172.20.255.254
4)255.0.0.8 This is a class E address
Sooo the only one left is #3. I think the 255 issue you mention holds true for the last octet. the 255.255 would be the broadcast address for that network
