Hello Everyone, This dump is still valid. By 70% I studied this and Professor Messer for 3 months and I passed with a 758. The hardest part of the test is the performance-based. So study the cable crimmpers and switches very good. I had about 80 questions. You need a 720 to pass. I took my test on June 25, 2013. USA. Good luck to you all!

When I did the first round of tests I got around 80% on each. After making sure I could answer close to all questions correctly I took the real test and got 872/900 in 35 minutes. Thanks

Just had the exam today, so I would like to bring my feedback to your attention as I am sure that many are eager to hear / know more.

Will post it in both Andrew and Mick Mick .vce files as it is the same set of questions, only that Mick Mick is re-arranged from Andrew . if I understood right what he did.

I've had 39 new questions ( which are not in this dump ) and the rest all were in this dump . word to word. I would recommend you all to study also, and not just rely on this dumps.

After the exam I have read through Lexxo dump and saw some of the new questions that I had at exam, so I would all advise you to update your VCE to 3.0.1 and study that, as this dump is covering aprox 70% of the questions ( my point of view )

I have passed the exam ( 782 / 900 ), but not with the score I would of wanted. However a pass is a pass.

about 90% from this dump yes about 10 new questions, one asked what techology was circuit switched answer is frame relay. another one about trouble shooting procedures, which i think i read in eman's dump, another one about switching loop
(a person unplug cable from one switch and plug it in an other one what happend). another one about PAT. I cant remember the other ones, sorry. Learn this dump fully and understand the concepts(for the new questions) and you will be fine.
How I know i answer the new questions right..i got perfect score, yeap 900.
Be optimistic you can do it. Oh i remember another one about MAC addresses, identifie what was the bad one, they use one with a letter x in one of the octets, the
last letter you can use is F, remember hexadecimal notation.Another one the hardest one i think of the new questions: They set a network test device to ping a main Internet router, after 3 missing pings the device set an alarm saying that the
INTERNET router was down, but there is not complains from customers about it, answer: missing route on the NETWORK router.

roughly 85% valid; passed with mid 800's. As long as you are not taking the test based off this alone, you'll pass. The different questions were still pretty similar to the questions here. Do not panic when you take the test just because you see different questions. If you did your studying, you'll be fine.

My best advice for you would be to study even harder and try to make sure that the % of wrong answers would be as low as possible. As per Comptia, you need 720 to pass which translates into an approximate 80% correct answers. This % can not be verified anywhere as some questions receive more points, some less . and there are also some that receive no points.

But . assuming that you study really hard and know all questions from here, this would give you a chance to take the exam even with 15 - 20 new questions.

However . is Comptia changing the questions with just 2 weeks before introducing the simulation questions ??? It seems kinda weird, especially seeing that generally this dumps are valid for few months before they are changed, and then again few months till they change them again . but that is just me and my thinking . doesn't have to be true.

Anyway . good luck, and study now even harder as $300 are not to be thrown in vain.

P.S. : Any assistance from those that took the exam this days would be appreciated. Thank you :)

Failed on my a$$ today, there was 4 simulation questions which threw me of track and I wasted 40 minutes on them, I did not finish my test. if you do get the simulation questions, first do the multiple choice first then comeback to the simulation questions. By the way this dump is valid

You may recall that CompTIA {Chapter 1 Security+ 4ed} said that performance-based questions will start appearing in the current Security+ SY0-301 exam in early 2013 (see Aug 20 2012 blog posting). We now have some firm dates from CompTIA along with additional information.

Performance-based questions require the test-taker to perform a task or solve a problem in a simulated environment to show that they have the necessary skills to go along with their knowledge (which is often assessed through multiple-choice questions). CompTIA has announced that the new performance-based questions will start appearing on Security+ exams beginning January 5, 2013. Anyone who takes that test on or after that date will see these new questions in addition to the regular multiple-choice questions. These new questions will also be added to A+ exams (220-801 and 220-801) in October and to Network+ exams on November 4.

Took this test today. I had actually taken JK0-019, which is pretty much the same thing. I made an 800 out of 900. 100 questions. I have been in the field for three years, but this dump did help with a lot of those "Things you'll never see in the field".

If you study this exam, and know the answers, you will pass by just studying this. But please, for the sake of your future employers and employees, please actually understand these answers. If there is something you don't understand, Google it and read up on it.

But like I said: Memorize this test, you will make a perfect score. (as of 9/28/2012)
