I would have to agree with JR. I took the exam as well yesterday and passed with a score of 800. If you are look for a slam dunk of a study dump this is not it. However, if you are looking for a GREAT study aid, this it it. Use this dump along with some type of textbook study guide and you will be able to pass with no problem.

Finished the Test 15 minutes ago Passed with 860. I used Richies 780 as a study guide and only 25 - 40% of the questions from there were on the test, so if you are looking for the exact question then these will not help, but they are a great study aid and cover most if not all the topics you will need when you used them with the Sybex CompTia Security and Review Guide. I pray this helps anyone wondering. God Bless JR

Hey all. I don't know where these other guys are testing at but I took the test on Feb. 19th and EVERY question on it was from these study guides. I used the one by Richie and RemixedbyAlex. I made an 895/900. I was worried at first because I was studying for the SY0-201 and when I got to the testing center my exam number was JK0-015. I asked the testing administrator why I was given this exam number instead of the other and she said they are the same test. Apparently whatever changes these other guys are referring to must be region sensitive. I don't really see how though. The Security+ exam shouldn't change until the end of the fiscal year which for CompTIA I believe is in September. Study well and know the material. Good luck to all!!!!

If you do not know the material, you will not pass plain and simple. At least not until new dumps come out.
I recommend, CBT Nugget, LearnKey Videos, TestOut and Sybex CD+PDF 4th ed. Well that's what worked for me.

Linuxbug- are you KIDDING me? This test is a joke. You should be able to breeze through it with less than a year's experience... OR by reading any of the official courseware books (Element K is a good place to start). Yes, there are a lot of acronyms and various technologies that might seem scary if you haven't used them in your job (or studied them), but you have to remember that ALL of CompTIA's certifications are ENTRY LEVEL certifications. Even fully mastering the material contained in this exam doesn't even begin to make you an expert in the security field.
That's why it drives me so crazy to see people cheating on these without studying or experience. It's like cheating your way through algebra and then trying to figure out calculus. If you take two weeks to actually read one of the books, the hardest part of the test will be figuring out what CompTIA wants you to answer (rather than the most correct answer).

Bob,
Like I said, these dumps are great for people who know the material (ie, can do their jobs) but need assistance passing the test. Having the cert is great for getting your foot in the door. It just pisses me off to see posts from people who say "I passed the test using nothing but this dump, never had to use a study book, I'm going to go be a network admin now!" It devalues the certification for people who can actually perform the job. And believe me, if you have more than a few years of experience on your resume, not having an entry level CompTIA certification is not going to prevent you from getting the interview (unless you're working for the government where it's required). Once you get to talk to someone, they'll know if you actually know what you're talking about, or if you're paper certified.
I sympathize with the people who can do their job but need to get these anyway just because it's expected- I'm one of them! At the same time, people who cheat and pass these tests and aren't able to do the job only teach hiring managers that A+/N+/S+ etc are not reliable metrics.
What do you know about brain surgery? "Absolutely nothing, but it's okay because I have my medical degree!" After hearing that a few times I bet you'd stop trusting doctors solely because they managed to graduate. Even worse, imagine hiring one and observing them in the operating room, standing in front of a dying patient with no idea what to do. "OK nurse... hand me the screwdriver." I think you get the idea.
For people who just aren't good at taking tests but are actually skilled, by all means have at it.
Bob from United States -
Jan 14 2010, 7:07 PMReport Spam
I love people who always have the right answer. Yes it will not get you the job. Only the people can perform that take. I was in the Navy for 20 years. I knew many people who knew their job inside out but could not take a test. The reason why I really don't know. I always knew people who could take test and knew nothing about their job. These sites should be for people who need that push to get them to that job where they can go from there. At these time people more and more take short cuts in life. The true always comes out. I dislike people who think they know everything about life. Always remember until you walk in someone else shoes you really can see their point of view about anything, This is all I am saying.
TRUTH - Jan 14 2010, 2:54 AM
Mosh13 is right on the money. Cheating on these tests by studying a dump and NOT learning the material is stupid, and you're only screwing yourself out of the exam fee. Sure, having the cert on your resume might land you an interview, but what are you going to say when they ask about your experience? How about when the IT manager asks you if you're familiar with x,y,or z technology? Believe me, they'll start with the easy questions, and if you sit there with a blank look on your face you might as well be screaming "I CHEATED ON THE TEST TO GET HERE!"
It's one thing to use these as extra insurance that you pass after studying, or if you already know the material. To be fair, a good part of passing these is learning what CompTIA wants you to answer, and that's not always the most logical or "real-world" solution.
It's another story to fake it. The hiring manager is not just going to hand you a job for having this credential, and they're sure as hell not going to pose their questions in a multiple-choice format taken from a braindump. And what are you going to do if you do happen to land a job but then have NO CLUE how to do what's expected of you? Imagine becoming a doctor by cheating through med school. Same idea- nobody dies when your network goes down, but it's going to be obvious that you're incompetent when you couldn't prevent it, and can't fix it.

My wife who has no computer knowledge but she memorized the whole dump and took the exam with me. She got 860. She has no use for this certification but just to have someting to show in her resume. It doesn't hurt to at least review the topics if you're completely unfamiliar with Security+, because a coworker of mine was unfortunate enough to get almost all scenario-based questions... BUT, this test engine was perfect. The questions were nearly word-for-word in every instance. For all of you out there still waiting/preparing to do the exam... have faith in these dumps but also know the material outside of them. There were around 10 questions (so approx. 10%) within my exam which were NOT in these dumps.
Mind you, if you're in the business of being spoonfed, I'm sure you'll get what you deserve anyway!
Best of luck to you all.

Hey Jacamaruk,
How long did you study the questions. I have been studying now for a week but have not gotten it down yet...I'm still iffy. What do you suggest. I still know most of Security but sometimes it's hard to attain when you're not physically doing the work. No hands on. Can someone suggest where I can get hands on or who's hiring? I have 4 Certifications now.

Took exam today and passed 870/900. There were about 10-15 questions I had not seen before but if you know your stuff you'll be OK. I used this dump and the SYBEX book.

Look like Sibex is the best material beside this dum.
Thank for all the coments they all help.

If you do not know the material, you will not pass plain and simple. At least not until new dumps come out.
I recommend, CBT Nugget, LearnKey Videos, TestOut and Sybex CD+PDF 4th ed. Well that's what worked for me.
I had a look at CompTIA.TestKing.SY0-201.v2009-11-10.by.Sceptre.780q.vce This is nearly the same as this VCE. There are notes that the VCE was still good last week. I'm going to do my Exam next tuesday in Germany and need to study more on the questions, since the "english" questions sometimes confuse me....
Thanks.

about 15-20% of the test is pure comptia questions, what they want you to answer...
I understand that working on the subject is a must but passing the test, this is it.
http://www.comptia.org/global/de-DE/certifications/security-plus.aspx
Is this true??? Or is 201 the latest???
which of the following is the strongest encryption form that can be used in all countries?
A- WPA2
B- TKIP

the answer is C-WEP
I just though that the answer should be A-WPA2.
could someone give me a explaination

Well... how bout helping out and telling us your experience with this website that is designed to provide people with the study resources provided to assist you with exams instead of wasting stupid retarded posts of multiple paragraphs explaining a essay of b/s. It's all you typed is just b/s in your posts. Try being productive and not a little whining baby needing mommy's milk titties and it's diaper changed all the time.
You are right the true always comes out at the end. People please do more than these dumps. These are only tools for those who know the job but maybe need help on test. Time should be put in to learn the job for taking these test.
Bob
That's why it drives me so crazy to see people cheating on these without studying or experience. It's like cheating your way through algebra and then trying to figure out calculus. If you take two weeks to actually read one of the books, the hardest part of the test will be figuring out what CompTIA wants you to answer (rather than the most correct answer).

Same idea- nobody dies when your network goes down, but it's going to be obvious that you're incompetent when you couldn't prevent it, and can't fix it.
questions are right on. Good dump
Please Reply.
I made set of 100 questions and removed the Wberlin Sans.
Check the file uploaded after this.
Can you upload that vce that you edited so that we can all have it? I don't have a VCE editor
How many questions are on the test ?
Thanks !!!
I passed Security+ Exam by reading only these dumps of Ritchie. I got 880/900. Thanks a lot Ritchie
