Performance-based questions require the test-taker to perform a task or solve a problem in a simulated environment to show that they have the necessary skills to go along with their knowledge (which is often assessed through multiple-choice questions). CompTIA has announced that the new performance-based questions will start appearing on Security+ exams beginning January 5, 2013. Anyone who takes that test on or after that date will see these new questions in addition to the regular multiple-choice questions. These new questions will also be added to A+ exams (220-801 and 220-801) in October and to Network+ exams on November 4.

I have had great confidence in this site and the material provided here since I passed my Comptia A+ two part exam not long ago.
I was very skeptical but then saw many of the questions to be verbatim/word for word.
Before I say this, i want everyone to know i am not trying to degrade the site in any way. But i want you to be aware! and use GOOGLE and do some research before you use these as your only study tool.
It is VERY IMPORTANT to know the material and have an understanding of concepts, not just "pump and dump" What happens if you are in the field and someone asks you a technical question you cannot answer since it was in the "braindump"?

Beware, "Braindumps" seem to be frowned upon.
Remember, these are great study tools and will help immensely getting your certification, but be aware of your surroundings and KNOW YOUR SUBJECT!
My test report states that I had a mistake in:

eman's dump question number 180 A:
Sandy, a technician, needs to customize various cable lengths and verify that the cables are working correctly, Which of the following tools would be needed to accomplish this? (Select Two)
1. Crimper
2. Multimeter
3. Cable Certifier
4. Punch Down Tool
5. Loopback plug
I think the right answer is 3 and 4 but eman's dump says it's 1 and 4 which I've selected on my test and failed this question according to the test report. Anyone else is having doubts about this question or I'm wrong?

Q: Which of the following layers of the OSI model maps the Network Interface layer of the TCP stack?(select TWO).
[X] A. Physical
[ ] B. Session
[X] C. Data Link
[ ] D. Network
[ ] E. Transport
Shouldn't it be (E) transport? If the TCP is the Transport Control Protocol.
Would someone please elaborate on this, or if I am right, agree with me.
@ Jin: A lot of the questions were from this dump, word for word. The questions that were not from this dump are just the same questions from Eman dump but reworded. If you study ALL questions from this dump. I GUARANTEE a 900 score. That is my experience when taking the test.

For those studying toward CompTIA Network+ certification, exam code N10-004, that exam will be available in English, Japanese and Taiwanese until August 31, 2012. The exam will be available in Spanish, German and Korean until the fourth quarter of 2012. The most current version of the certification is exam code N10-005.
CompTIA Network+: Performance-based questions will be added to the CompTIA Network+ exam (N10-005) this year, during the fourth quarter of 2012.

Dump says it's Layer 7 but I think it's Layer 6. Who's wrong?
1. 802.3 specification.
2. A person with a wi fi not working has a teleconference in 30 mins but has a RJ45 jack - I chose use a wired connection.
3. Protocols at different levels. A question, Which protocol operates at the lowest level?
4.Know the tools you would use to troubleshoot connectivity issues, ie. Packet Sniffer, Port Scanner, IDS, IPS etc.
5. When you would uses a router and switch and how to configure them.

I found some wrong answers in this dump and there are no explanations to answers.
Learn ports, protocols and layers. Well it is network+ certificate!!! :)
Jeff ,a user is unable to print to the network,the cable was tested and VLAN ports are configured correctly,still the problem exixts.What is the probable cause?
A.The printer was configured for DHCP
B.The switch was configured for Trunking
C.The printer was configured for duplexing
D.The switch was configured for PoE
There were 7 -8 questions out of this dump..but simple network knowledge would get them easily..

This is one of those questions that you have to think outside the box....I think when they were creating this question they had a Network Sniffer in mind were a Hub will not stop broadcast traffic to the sniffer. Where a switch you would need to turn on port mirroring.
