i studied this for 2 days got a 775,but i also had experience with some of the topics
  • vader - Mar 01 2010, 1:40 PM
Tulume, you're a very fortunate person. Still, you did well considering the time put in. I always put a lot time in because I know I wouldn't do as well as you did in such a short time.
  • Tulume - Mar 01 2010, 5:19 AM
I passed the exam 735 hehehe though passing is just 700 only. I only took 1/3 of this dump to read for an hour only and never read any books. All I have is experience and common sense. Thanks for this dump. Though I read only a little it helps a lot. Dont be lazy like me. its risky. hahaha...
  • aPLUS - Feb 28 2010, 7:28 AM
this dump is solid. passed today with a score of 819. only studied probably about 300 questions from this dump. :)
  • zo - Feb 28 2010, 6:13 AM
    sorry lol
  • vader - Feb 28 2010, 5:47 AM
Darkplayer posts the answers in this topic.
  • zo - Feb 27 2010, 7:54 PM
yea i see yo's questions, but there are no answers and some are kind of tricky :).
  • Sunny - Feb 26 2010, 8:51 PM
Hi guys! I found Q.459 and Q.650 to be similar but with contradicting answers in Jack's file. Also what are the correct options for Q.13 in Shah's file? Lastly, Congratulations to all who have cleared A+ !
  • vader - Feb 26 2010, 5:00 AM
yo's questions are in this discussion (you have to scroll down)
  • zo - Feb 26 2010, 4:32 AM
could someone tell me the answers and explanations to yo's questions?
    Thanks
  • vader - Feb 25 2010, 3:21 AM
    I meant link, not line.
  • vader - Feb 25 2010, 3:20 AM
    Here is the line

  • Luke - Feb 24 2010, 11:35 PM
    where is shah's dump?
  • jd - Feb 24 2010, 6:28 PM
Passed today in the us with 861. used this dump and sha's about 75% combined.
  • vader - Feb 22 2010, 4:07 PM
I think the answer is "C: Documents and SettingsPhillipLocal SettingsTemp". I may be wrong, but this is the answer in all the pre-tests I've looked.
  • Sunny - Feb 22 2010, 10:08 AM
@Vader: Thanks for your reply. Also, I would like you to have a look at Q.175 in this file. I think the answer is C. Local settingsApplication data, and not D.
  • vader - Feb 21 2010, 4:36 PM
Sunny, yes there are several repeats (and written slightly different, but similiar). But any practice exam you find will have this. On the bright side, you can see it as less than 697qs. You want to look at the newest one (SHAH) too because it has 76 questions not found in Jacks.Trust me, I went through it thoroughly for 2 hours or more.
  • Sunny - Feb 21 2010, 2:23 PM
Many repeated questions in this dump. Are these dumps valid or do we require to study another dump with this one?
  • vader - Feb 19 2010, 4:13 AM
you only have to purchase the Visual CertExam Suite once, and it's the personal one. All the vce files work with it. It's like getting pdf files after you have adobe reader.
  • vader - Feb 19 2010, 12:27 AM
You can download all of the vce files (all!). Plus, you can modify the test with the designer program. For example, someone finds a new question. You can insert it into your own creation. Plus, you can delete the questions(the ones you know) as you study. Right now, I'm down to 250 questions on this test.
  • Larry - Feb 18 2010, 11:36 PM
I am kind of confused... to view this dump, i need to have a registration code... is all i need to purchase the Visual CertExam Manager Personal License? and is that good for just one of the dumps or must i purchase it again to view another dump on this site?
  • vader - Feb 18 2010, 11:18 PM
Larry, I wouldn't buy one. If you look at all the current ones. They have "697 questions", so, that would lead me to believe you would be wasting your money. You have to read the reviews on here as everyone who's used this has passed with decent scores. Use this, in addition to the other current ones.
  • Larry Harn - Feb 18 2010, 11:12 PM
    Hi all,

I passed the essentials last fall, but i failed the the 220-602 in December with a 600 score. I am really nervous about the test (i am taking it next week) and i am willing to buy a brain dump. Is this one the best and does it have most/all of the questions on the test? Or is pass4sure or testking better? what do you all recommend?
  • Ian - Feb 15 2010, 3:07 AM
Just past 220-602 this morning, about 45% of this dump was in there, passed with 825!
  • vader - Feb 12 2010, 3:46 AM
This is good news indeed! Now, who has the latest dump (Test King, Actual Test, or Examworx). I know it's out there. It seems like it's impossible to get these things (back in 2008, it was so easy). Now, google searches have nothing but links to buy the tests or demos. If anyone has the latest: My email is darthv55@gmail.com
  • benz - Feb 11 2010, 9:55 PM
Guys I have a good news, don't worry whether taking 601,602 or 701,702, all those certifications are valid for life.
Here are some quotes they announced on Jan 26,2010 from http://www.comptia.org/news/pressreleases/10-01-26/CompTIA_Certification_Renewal_Policy_Clarified.aspx

"Current certificate holders remain certified for life; renewal requirement applies only to certifications earned on or after January 1, 2011"

"All individuals currently certified in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ will retain their “certified for life” status with no requirement to recertify or retest."

"Individuals who become certified in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ by December 31, 2010 also will be considered certified for life."

So just take the exam that you think easier for you, don't worry about expired.
  • tony - Feb 10 2010, 5:21 PM
it was similar to it but i just guessed it and got it right.
sounds like a question from security+
  • vader - Feb 09 2010, 11:15 PM
    Was this your question:

A high profile company has been receiving a high volume of attacks on their public web site. The network administrator wants to be able to collect information on the attacker(s) so legal action can be taken. What should be implemented?
    A. a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone)
    B. a honey pot
    C. a firewall
    D. a new subnet
    Answer: B
  • tony - Feb 09 2010, 7:08 PM
    passed today with 854.
thought this dump was the best but only 30 or so questions from it
a lot of new ones.what i did was eliminate the 2 definite wrong answers first and then pick the best of the remaining choices.just think before you answer
i did get a strange question about a dmz system designed to lure intruders
the options were a)proxy b) honey pot ....cant remember the rest
think honey pot was the answer but it was a guess
never heard of such a thing on a+
onto net+ now,if im certified by dec 31st 2010 the cert is for life
after that is only for 3 years
  • vader - Feb 06 2010, 4:17 AM
So about 43 questions are these dumps (including Yo). So, that means one will have to at-least get an additional 27 questions correct to pass. Each questions is 10 pts (900pts = 90qs). In other words one can only afford to miss 30. I might consider paying for the latest pass4sure with 630q.
  • vader - Feb 06 2010, 4:08 AM
She means 220-602/ 220-601 will end on Feb 28, and then they will become 702/ 701. I'm sure that's what she meant though. It's good you took the test this month since these will probably be useless after Feb 28.
  • GEE - Feb 05 2010, 9:10 PM
Don't know if i would trust these dumps right now. You need to study for this.
  • GEE - Feb 05 2010, 9:08 PM
Passed today with 842. I thought there was 100 questions for the cert, but only 90. Lots of new questions. As for the Jack and Mayronus vce, i had about 30 questions from them combined. The 13 or so that "Yo" rambled off where in my Cert. (all 13)(exactly). Too many to remember; most of my Cert was all new. I don't just mean that they worded it differently either, new questions i haven't seen before. Lucky i did study from CompTIA A+ Guide to Hardware first then practiced with the VCE file Jack and Mayronus. The lady at Prometric told me that changes were coming to the CompTIA Certs, and may have started already. I don't know if any of that was true, but the Cert took me 1hr 20 mins; as apposed to the avg. 15-17mins with 100 questions in Jack and Mayronus versions. Good Luck to all - Go Canada! -2010
  • ALI - Feb 04 2010, 5:47 PM
    Hi all,
Passed today 602 with 834/900. Thanks to Exam Collection,Jack and Mayronus.

"It's Feb 1st. are these dumps still good or do we need to start looking at the 702"

If you're taking it in the month of FEB 2010, you'll be ok which is what I'm doing. Otherwise, you may want to wait on the 702/ 701s if you're taking it after FEB. FEB 28, 2010 will be the last day for 602/ 601s. The vce for these don't come out as often as they used to which would be a good reason to get it over with this month.
  • g - Feb 02 2010, 5:05 PM
It's Feb 1st. are these dumps still good or do we need to start looking at the 702
  • vader - Feb 02 2010, 1:30 AM
Nightynine, congrats. So that means you got close to an 870 on the test?
  • Nightynine - Feb 01 2010, 10:15 PM
Took this juan today and passed with a 96/100. 70% of the items were from this dump, make sure you read the book or snatch a pdf and review the elements for the IT tech as some of the questions can throw you. Best of luck! It feels good to be certified! On to the next cert....
  • benz - Jan 30 2010, 10:25 PM
Passed today with score 834,about 40%-50% from this dump. Studied using Jack 697 & Mayronus 565. Those dumps are still valid.
    Thanks guys.
  • Vader - Jan 29 2010, 4:41 PM
Well, I take that back what I said about the amount of questions. TestKing has 697 questions (www.testking.com), so it may seem that this this exam is still just as valid.
  • Vader - Jan 29 2010, 3:36 PM
I meant to say "Test King" is the cheaper one.
  • Vader - Jan 29 2010, 3:35 PM
The current Test King and Pass4Sure tests have 630 questions and have been updated in Jan 2010. Test is much cheaper ($79 vs $125). It used to be so easy to get the current ones for free, but it seems "googling" and "Yahooing" only brings a flood of questionable sites or links that lead to the old versions in 2008.
  • GEE - Jan 27 2010, 3:18 AM
Darkplayer, you talked about " -Validity? If you look at the date in the description

    "CompTIA.ActualTests.220-602.v2009-07-24.by.Jack.697q.vce

(2009-07-24) the dump is over 5 months old. the newest dump is dated as 2009-12-05. So the older the dump, less reliable it becomes. • SAB - Jan 24 2010, 12:58 PM
    I passed today with 829
    This Dump still valid
  • darkplayer - Jan 20 2010, 10:55 PM
    No problem Opa-Opa.

Yo, also jotted down about 10+ questions (down below) to keep an eye out for on the test, that helped me as well.
  • opa-opa - Jan 20 2010, 6:35 PM
Passed today with 829. This dump is the best.
    personal thanks to darkplayer
  • fl0253 - Jan 20 2010, 4:12 AM
I stand corrected by the CompTIA Web Site on the retake of these cert exams. The A+, Network+ and Security+ are now only valid for 3 years. All other exams from CompTIA are not effected. CPEs can be obtained in the same manner as ISACA, ISC2 and EC Council. This will come effective in mid-2010.
  • fl0253 - Jan 20 2010, 4:03 AM
CompTIA does not award Continuing Education Points like ISACA, ISC2 and EC Council. If the test taker works for the DoD or is a contractor for the DoD, the cert is valid for 3 years to the date that both A+ exams are passed. CompTIA recognizes a lifetime cert, but DoD does not.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I work for the DoD and this is covered under DoD 8570.
  • vader - Jan 19 2010, 12:35 AM
It's every 3 years for renewal. This involves points for credit and a fee, but the exam doesn't have to be re-taken.
  • darkplayer - Jan 17 2010, 4:41 PM
I'm going to pull back from network+ and go directly to CCNA 640-802. I Didn't know Comptia change it's renewel policy for A+, N+, and Security+, "for life" to "every 3 years".

Only makes since since N+ is incorporated with CCNA. Killing 2 birds with one "BIG" rock.
  • vader - Jan 17 2010, 6:49 AM
darkplayer, Network+ is very easy. I only missed 2 questions on that certification. You'll do fine.
  • darkplayer - Jan 16 2010, 5:21 PM
Finally!!! I took the 602 and got an 840.

Dump was about 40% valid. A lot of new (common sense) customer service questions, printers errors (replacing rollers, reset counter, fuser), switching mass storage HD to dynamic (what features are enabled), command line to map to a drive/folder, required video memory to use 1200x1600. That's all I can remember.

Well, I'm off to Network+, which should be easy for me, I've had experience working with Ciso routers.
  • vader - Jan 16 2010, 3:39 AM
Thank You, Chupalimao. Nice to hear. I'll be taking it in coming weeks.

I passed today with 848, and I only study this dump. It was 40-45 questions from this dump and must of the rest are similar.
Thanks for the effort you put into this, I really appreciate it.
  • vader - Jan 10 2010, 5:09 PM
The 220-601 seems to be fine which I'm not worried about, but from what I've heard, the 602 changes moreso than the 601. I'm sure if one studied 2 of these 602s and has taken an A+ class in the past, they will do fine. Atleast I hope so because that defines me :^)
  • aPLUS - Jan 10 2010, 4:43 PM
"the question pool I had on the exam was about 90% from the dump I took".

I meant to say, the question pool I had on the exam was about 90% from the dump I studied. sorry, that just sounded wrong! :)
  • aPLUS - Jan 10 2010, 4:41 PM
what's the reason for an "update"? it's not like the content for the 220-602 exam changes, does it? when you guys mean update, what exactly are you saying -- that perhaps the current dump isn't 100% complete or 100 %accurate? the 220-601 was awesome, I got an 804 score when I took the test. the question pool I had on the exam was about 90% from the dump I took. does this mean, that dump was "updated"? i'd like to know what constitutes a good/bad dump or what "update" means.

if this dump is as strong as the 601 dump that I studied for, please let me know. that'd be good enough for me!
  • vader - Jan 07 2010, 3:58 PM
Why is it so difficult to find this update? I know it's out there. Darkplayer is correct in the new update. It's either TestKing or Pass4Sure that has that date he mentioned. I noticed that this test has all the questions from a previous pass4sure (360q) plus additional ones. I'm scheduled to take it in late Jan 2010. If anyone has a rapidshare link, please respond.
  • natalia - Jan 06 2010, 1:08 AM
thank you for the link. but i checked the link and the file and it is just exactly the same with this vce file.

i doubt that this is an updated file.
  • kamran - Jan 05 2010, 7:01 PM
This dump is bit helpful. I passed with 842/900. 30%-40% from this dump, rest you use common sense and book study. I suggest you must read this dump along with some other dump as well.
  • natalia - Jan 05 2010, 5:51 AM
i agree the 601 980q dump was excellent even if it was 5 months old.

if anyone has an updated 602 dump, kindly share the link with us. thanks.
  • aPLUS - Jan 05 2010, 5:37 AM
so where is this new dump you speak of? please point out where we can get it. i'm looking to take the 602 in about a month. can anyone else attest whether or not this dump is worth studying? the 601 dump mind you on this site, is excellent.
  • darkplayer - Jan 05 2010, 2:32 AM
Validity? If you look at the date in the description

    "CompTIA.ActualTests.220-602.v2009-07-24.by.Jack.697q.vce

  • natalia - Jan 05 2010, 1:44 AM
Can anyone please help to clarify. I am confused. Per YO's info, took the exam on Dec 21 and this dump is about 70% valid. Then, SKJC takes it a week later and says that only 10 questions are valid.

Can anyone confirm the validity of this dump? Will be taking this test this month.

    Thanks in advance.
  • darkplayer - Jan 04 2010, 6:20 AM
Hey Opa, I had to look in Pearson 220-702 text book to find the answers. To anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong. These are my answers:

    9 - D
    10 - C (alternate answer: count reset)
    11 - A
    12 - B
    13 - B
    14 - A
    15 - C - (scanner pulls a lot of power)
16 - B - You should use a back belt and lift with your legs.
    17 - A - (IP address)
18 - B - Tell the user you are currently working on a trouble call and
will have to get back to them in the afternoon. (This seems to be the
most logical answer. In the real world usually tell users to put a ticket
    in)
    19 - B - Corrupt or Missing system file
20 - C - Tell the users to power down their computers and Provide the
users with covers for their machines.
21 - C - Tell the user that you are dispatching another technician.
22 - D - Unplug the power from the computer and the monitor.
  • opa-opa - Jan 03 2010, 8:08 PM
    Hi Yo,

I didn't pass my first exam, and I had the same questions as you posted here.

    THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS :)

  • Yo - Dec 22 2009, 3:33 AM
Passed with 839. There were a little over 20 that were not here, but most of them were common sence questions and things you could reason out by eliminating the least possible answers. I will warn you though that there were some that were new to me. I'll give a sample of a few and hope it helps someone out. This is what I could remember to the best of my ability.
