Exam A Q3
answer should be E (It will flood the frame out all ports except Fa0/3). Packet came in on that port and doesn't know where the destination is so it will flood all but Fa0/3. The answer given (B) says it will send it out Fa0/6 but that makes no sense since that is not even the destination MAC.

I passed exam last friday, and I got it with score of 973/1000. This vce file is trusted and good quality.
But you need to understand what you learn anyway, so 9tut is a good way to that with explanations.

I didn't have some question concerning IPv6, Rip V1 or V2, no ACL, but 3 labs which doesn't need configuration (included in this dump, except OSPF lab with 6 routers / 1 switch which need to know "-show ip ospf interfaces" command and do some "sh run" to find incorrect Ospf parameter between 2 routers preventing adjacencies work).

Hi Guys,

I just passed my Exam Score 960 Dump is Valid 80%. I also had 6 router OSPF SIM that everyone is talking about. They ask why routers weren't forming adjacencies. Do a show run, or show ip ospf interface on the routers in question and compare. Also two of the routers had PPP configured on them and there was a password mismatch.

Check others dumb where they're talking about the SIM and possible answers.
Shout out to Spike and Nada you the best

Took the exam today 899+, dump was 95% on target. Some of the subnetting questions were the same others were not know how to subnet. Know OSPF configuration and troubleshooting. Know Show Interfaces. I had 3 labs one OSPF with four questions. This was solvable with the Show IP OSPF Interface command. The other two was basic Router/Switch config laps which could be answered with the Show Interfaces command. Show ? is ALLOWED in the even you forget the commands.

Why are you advertising passguide? seems like you are on every dump saying its valid and saying to use the passguide one. Doesn't sound like legitimate advice but more like you are trying to get people to buy a passguide dump. Shame on you man. Are this possible answers for the new questions?

1. What command will add all interfaces to Area 0?
Router(config)#router ospf process-id
Router(config-router)#network address wildcard-mask area area-id

2. What are the benefits of having a single OSPF area?
A network with a single OSPF area will have only area 0, which is mandatory.
The single OSPF backbone area is also known as area 0 and has the reserved area ID of 0.0.0.0.
The area 0 acts as a hub for inter-area transit traffic and the distribution of routing information between areas.

@david,

I think the question you are referencing is:

"Which network device functions only at Layer 1 of the OSI model?"

If so, then I would go with "Hub" as the answer. Not sure if the actual exam question would have "NIC" as an option since I did not get this in the exam but, seeing that the 100-101 is a Cisco exam and we are primarily dealing with switches and routers, I would go with "Hub".

@brad,

Like I mentioned in my earlier dump, I initially downloaded this dump and used it as the basis for my dump. This dump had 119 questions and my dump now has 189 questions so, I added more than 70 questions to my dump and ultimately that is what I used to prepare in addition to watching the CBT Nuggets videos and using GNS3 for hands-on. Some of the questions which I added were from sources like 9tut, Judy dump and other sources. I also corrected what I saw as incorrect to some of the questions in my dump. My dump has not yet been made available but, I assume that it will be made available tomorrow?

As for the marks that each question carries, I doubt that anyone other than Cisco knows the answer to that question.

@david,

Those questions that you are referencing are simulation questions and in the exam they require you to click on the computer which is attached to the console port in order to connect to the router or switch. Once you are connected you will need to perform show commands to review the configuration in order to answer the questions. In certain instances each question has four parts to be answered. Like a four-in-one question. Make sure you answer all four parts before clicking next because, you cannot return to correct any mistakes.

As for the four internal questions found within Q81 and Q86 you can find them by downloading the file from the below link unfortunately, you cannot see the results of the "show run" in order to see why the answers are what they are. Hope this helps and good luck on the exam.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I can't remember the questions word for word but, if you study OSPF and practice setting up OSPF on a simulator or physical routers you should be fine. It should not be just about memorizing the dumps but, you should use the dumps to improve on your knowledge of the product.

Hi Guys,

Passed the ICND1 100-101 with high 900. Did better than I thought I would, thanks to this dump and some others. I want to do my part and give back. I uploaded a file named (Cisco.passguide.100-101.v2013-10-04.by.Nada.189q.vce) which is what I compiled during my studies and what I used to prepare for and pass the ICND1 100-101 exam. Hopefully, the file will be made available to all in the next few days. In addition to the file that Q&A's in the file that I have posted, I used the CBT Nuggets videos, and GNS3 because, I could not gain access to real equipment but, GNS3 was enough to get a feel for the Cisco IOS and its commands.

The original file was by Spike but, I corrected wrong answers, inserted as much references and explanations as possible, created sections to allow for testing of specific sections in the event that I was weak in one or more areas. I also added over 70 additional questions obtained from various sources like 9Tut and others. Some of the additional questions were on the exam.

The exam was 50 questions with 3 to 4 simulations and most of the simulations had four questions to answer in each sim. None of the simulations required configuration commands to be used, just needed to use show commands to view the configuration in order to answer the questions like why routers are not forming adjacencies with neighbor routers through the use of OSPF. In addition to the simulation questions, there were a lot of subnetting questions. SO, know your subnetting and configuration commands! Know what to look for when troubleshooting OSPF and how OSPF should be configured. I did not have any IPv6 questions but, you should prepare for them also as I feel that Cisco will start including more IPv6 in the future.

Big thanks to Spike and anyone else that contributed to making the dumps what they are.

Good luck and onward to ICND 2!

@Matt,

Like you, I haven't taken the test yet but, from what I have read and heard the simulations will be exactly as working with the Cisco IOS. This means that you can use the shortened version of the commands and the help option "?".

As a matter of fact, I was told that Cisco encouraged us to use the help option to navigate our way around the different commands and areas.

I also heard that ICND1 is more about using show commands to identify the possibility of misconfigured routers than having to actually perform the configuration on the devices. ICND2 may require more hands on and device configuration.

Thank God passed today with 920/1000. This dump is still very very valid, almost all the exam questions are from it.

OSPF needs to be studied very well and all it requires is to do some show commands to figure out the problems between routers which could be due to area number , hello, dead intervals mismatch, authentication or problem with the connection and such staff.

The link below is helpful regarding OSPF:

I located information on The Hierarchical Network Model at the below link that points to answer "B" and "D" being correct not "A".

Which two characteristics describe the access layer of the hierarchical network design model? (Choose two.)

A. Layer 3 support

the things that i found from 9tut.com is this link

all are questions and answers
could you post the links for commands that we must learn ?
thank you

@David

1. Yes you will have to learn the commands from 9tut, There are three different sims that you will encounter on the exam, the hardest is OSPF. I do not know how many points the sims are worth on the exam. But if you understand all at 9tut , you will be fine.

2. The answers in this dump are correct. Q1 and Q3, the answers/questions are reversed. But in my opinion I feel you should learn the material and use the the dumps to confirm your knowledge. Not learn from the dumps just to get a cert.

Hi guys,

For the ospf question you are troubleshooting why adjacencies don't occur. So you need to use "show running-config" for a few of the questions, so that you can check whether the areas are set correctly. You will also use "show ip interface brief" to check that interfaces are up. lastly, you need to use "show interface serial 0/0" to check if encapsulation is the same on serial interfaces on both routers.

Good luck and God bless you all!

Dump still valid. Just cleared the exam yesterday (9/23) with a 97x score. 90% of the questions were from here. I had 3 simulation questions (all troubleshooting, no configurations). The OSPF simulation was new - just practice the show commands for troubleshooting ospf connections and you will be fine. Thanks to Spike for uploading this and everyone who provided valuable comments. Good luck everybody!

Hey,

I am a little confused as to what I should study.

I understand to study this dump, but what exactly should I be studying from 9tut? All I see are questions and answers, and I though that they are simulations in the exam?

Any able to clarify?

Thanks!

Yes you can get the CCENT (100-101) then go for the Security (640-554 IINS), but I would recommend eventually getting your full CCNA. It would make you more marketable.

@ David, Yes this dump is for the 100-101 ICND1 known as CCENT. Next would be 200-101 (ICND2) to obtain CCNA or you can just go with 200-120 which is both tests in one to get the CCNA.

Can someone please explain to me why the answer of "show controllers" would be one of the correct answers?

I agree with one of the answers being "show protocols" but, think that the second should be "show ip interface".

I ran the show controllers command and nowhere in the results did I see a reference to an IP address.

Which two commands will display the current IP address and basic Layer 1 and 2 status of an interface? (Choose two.)

A. router#show version
B. router#show ip interface
C. router#show protocols
D. router#show controllers
E. router#show running-config

Can someone please tell me why answer "D" for Q1 and answer "B" for Q3 are correct?

In Q1 the source MAC address is "00b0.d056.fe4d" and the destination MAC address is "00b0.d0da.cb56". According to the MAC address table on the switch it has associated these MAC addresses with FastEthernet0/3 and FastEthernet0/6 respectively.

In this case would the switch not simply forward the frame from FastEthernet0/3 to FastEthernet0/6? Would the switch not only flood a frame out all ports if the destination MAC address is not known?

Q3 is similar. In this case based on the MAC address table the switch is unaware of the destination MAC address but, knows the source MAC address as being associated with FastEthernet0/3 and should flood the frame out all ports except FastEthernet 0/3.

It appears as if the exhibits for these two questions have been reversed.

In Q1 - The switch receives a frame for forwarding to a MAC address which exists in the table, the answer should be "The switch will forward the frame out of FA0/6 only."

In Q3 - The switch receives a frame with a destination MAC address that is not in the address table, the answer should be: The switch will forward the frame out all ports except Fa0/3 (the destination port).

The answers are mixed up, I just wanted to clear that up so nobody gets confused.
