Yeah in the real exam the lab was fine, I removed the inappropriate virtual links and added the required ones to R2 and R3 and the loopback showed up. :)

Tommy, you cant see R4's loopback address in R1 becouse in the GNS3 lab all loopbacks isnt part of OSPF proccess. Just type command interface Loopback0 - ipv6 ospf 1 area () and you done:)
However in the real exam all work!

Hi Guys,

I cleared the exam today with 976 marks. The dumps are completely valid.
Exam A (378 questions) and Exam B from the dumps are more than enough to write this paper.
All 5 sims were some digitaltut (Policy based routing, EIGRP-OSPF redistribution, IPv6 Virtual link, OSPF sim and EIGRP stub sim)

The IP addresses, areas and process numbers were changed on the sims however the concept was exactly the same.

On to switching now :)

Hi Guys, Im planning to take this paper in the next 2 days. However Im facing some problem with the OSPF virtual link sim.
I got the GNS3 labs from here..

So what I do is I enter each router, remove the inappropriate virtual-link statements, and add area 11 virtual-link <neighbot router id> on R2 and R3. However I still cant see R4's loopback address in R1. Am I doing something wrong? I followed the digitaltut directions completely.
I'm assuming the lab itself may be wrong, Can someone please verify this for me. If any one of you has a working GNS3 lab of the virtual link sim please do post the link here.

If you are talking about the labs then yes, the digitaltut.com labs are more than enough to write the exam.

Digitaltut.com has the same 5 labs that is there in the GNS3 files. And these are the 5 labs that will come for the exam. Only thing is that, in the exam the IP addresses in the labs will be different. So make sure to understand the labs completely.

Today, I passed the exam.
Total 53 questions included 3 D&D 5 Labs.
Ospf Sim were little changed Process ID like 94 Area 42.
Policy based Sim IP address were changed Like 10.1.100.1
and also probelm with output not showing 9 packets please check this lab.
other three were same even process ID and area Eigrp were same like Digitaltut.

Answered were shuffled but so easy.

@Sridhar- Oh yeah the route-map pbr permit 20 isn't needed, the reason why I believe is due to the fact that policy-based routing isn't an ACL.........digital tut gave this reason, "If the packets do not meet any of the defined match criteria (that is, if the packets fall off the end of a route map), then those packets are routed through the normal destination-based routing process(Link for other traffic). If it is desired not to revert to normal forwarding and to drop the packets that do not match the specified criteria, then interface Null 0 should be specified as the last interface in the list by using the set clause.”

@Sridhar- yes there is a way to check without generating http traffic, you can ping the router to generate traffic...the command that you will need to use..access-list 101 permit icmp any any echo.....once you've entered the rest of the configuration as normal, you will see that pinging the ISP1 router will generate 5 packets.....and you can use the show route-map pbr command, to view the traffic. Also when you set the next-hop....it definitely needs to be the ip address of the interface on the ISP1 Router

There were not much changes in the exam. In the redistribution lab, the link of R2 and R3 (referring digitut topology) is fast ethernet, so you must change default AD value for external route to use best route.

@eisa-That would be wrong.....the whole idea of the wildcard is to allocate 2 available host addresses, your basically using a /30 SN Mask when you use 0.0.0.3.........you have a total of 4 addresses in that SN Mask but only 2 two can be used since the Network Address and Broadcast Address are already taken..........using 0.0.0.255 means that more hosts are allowed on that subnet
