@Loulou, regarding the no login question's answer being D, this is the only option, as you will allowed to log in without being challenged with a password.

I am not sure of the question number however the correct answer for question as below:

A new switch is being added to the River Campus LAN. You will work to complete this process by first configuring the building_210 switch with an IP address and default gateway. For the switch host address, you should use the last available IP address on the management subnet. In addition, the switch needs to be configured to be in the same VTP domain as the building_100 switch and also needs to be configured as a VTP client. Assume that the IP configuration and VTP configuration on building_100 are complete and correct.

The configuration of the router is not accessible for this exercise. You must accomplish the following tasks:

Determine and configure the IP host address of the new switch.
Determine and configure the default gateway of the new switch.
Determine and configure the correct VTP domain name for the new switch.
Configure the new switch as a VTP client.

Answer:
As the switches are connected. do the folllowing:
1. go to switch of building_100 console and type show running confi commnd. the output of this command will show you the ip adress of the vlan1 and ip address of the default gateway.
2. i think the mamagement domain in this question refer to the vlan1 (the default vlan) so take the subnet of this ip address and find the last available ip address in that subnet.
3. assign it to vlan1 in switch_210 and add the same default gateway as switch_100.
4. Type command show vtp status in switch_100 and find its domain. go to switch_210 and type vtp domain domain_name command.

This completes the configuration.

Passed exam yesterday !

This exam collections is great .Thanks to CBTNUGGETS and 9tut. All questions were from this dump except 3 questions that I had not seen before - OSPF Simulation and Frame Relay Simulation, they were pretty straightforward as long as you understand the concepts. Also had Vtp sim but dont just rely on this dump as there is still some subnetting related drag & drop Qs, where IP's are changed.

I used this dump, 9tut and CBT nuggets. Goodluck to those still preparing. Learn sims in 9tut, and build your own labs if possible .highly recommended, and understand the concepts by Jeremy in CBT !

Passed today with 958, thanks everybody for all the comments on this site and 9tut. All questions were from this dump except 2 questions that I had not seen before in OSPF and Access list, they were pretty easy so dont worry. Had Vtp and Frame Relay sims. Comments from everybody gave me confidence before the exam. I used this dump, 9tut and CBT nuggets. Goodluck to those still preparing. Learn sims in 9tut, and build your own labs if possible.

Thank you for such a accurate quality dump!

8 or 9 questions do not show up in the dump. assuming they are new. Also watch out for those simlets, study those HARD in the dump, and KNOW YOUR SUBNETTING. Create a subnet chart and dump it on scratch paper or a dry erase board and you will be fine.

Passed this morning. Almost ALL QUESTIONS were from this exam, however, the answers were all in different orders. Also, I studied using CBT Nuggets, 9 TUT, This Test, The Cisco Is Easy website and used Packet Tracer (I recreated all of the Sims and 9Tut questions just because I wanted to make sure that I passed this time). Knowing VTP and subnetting were also keys to success.. It wasn't easy to get to the point that questions were not that hard. Understand the concepts and the test will just fall into place.

sorry to say but studying for months doesn't mean that you will pass. you need to understand the concepts and you must be able to trouble shoot and be able to read the outcomes of different routing protocols. i had to study for two months before i took the exam. i thought i was well prepared but only managed to finish it in the allotted time. i did use the practice tests but only for practice not for memorizing. i would suggest every one to use cbt nuggets and alot of practice on 9tut plus dumps and you will pass.

I've been studying for months and failed this exam. The second to last question was the VTP SIM from 9tut.. I only had 10 min left. They decided to throw it in then.. How2pass accepts the show run command but BEWARE this command does not work on the test.

You MUST run the show running-config which is what I must have done wrong. You must run this command to find out the management vlan subnet on SW2 in order to assign it the first available address in the subnet. My score 790/1000. Test is VERY hard.

Still had some questions from the dump but noticed different syntax which made it confusing. Rewording. So be careful! I scored a 53% on the Configure verify and troubleshoot a switch with VLANS and interswitch communication section..

Can somebody plz let me know if it's because I failed the VTP sum!?!? I assigned the wrong IP ADDRESS then the one it wanted..Also may have assigned the wrong default gateway because I used the show cdp neighbor Detail on SW2 which is way wrong..

Also know FRAME RELAY GOOD and a lot of NAT/PAT questions I would say had about 7 out of the 42 questions. Time FLYS by. So user BEWARE. Also know the drag and drop HOLDDOWN TIMER/COUNTDOWN TO INFINITY/ROUTE POISEN/ POISEN REVERSE/ and even a new drag and drop term I've never seen. MAX AGE TIMER!? or something to that effect.

NOT HAPPY. Have to reschedule. Can somebody plz elaborate if maybe I would have successfully completed the VTP LAB that I would have maybe passed!?!? I thought I actually did really well until the infamous "WERE SORRY TO INFORM YOU"..FAIL>...!>>!?!?!

Know the material.. The ICND2 testing content has not changed. These test practice questions are great for getting ready. If you just memorize what STP or VTP is an acronym for and not what its does, you'll never pass. Also, if you can't subnet in your head, you'll never pass. Know each and every subject matter content as if it were the back of your hand. Think about it, what job are you going to keep if you're adding a CCNA credential to your resume but can't even login to a router / switch.

Hello everybody, I pass ICND2 today with a 874. This vce is 100% valid.
All multiple choice question was on point. However my score was low because I got hit with a few surprises. 4 drag & drops, One, I never seen before, Two, Exam G question 15, all IPs were different. 3, Exam G, question 22 the same, Exam H question 20 was the same. The same VTP ICND2 lab sim everybody else got. Different ip's of course and to use the last available ip address. The CCNA Hotspot Frame Relay sim, same concept but all the IP addresses & multiple choice questions were different. I got this question wrong. And last but not least, OSPF sim, again, same concept, different ip addresses & choices. I got this wrong as well. My advice, study the concept of both inside and out and you will do fine.

I took the test May 3rd and passed with a 874. This dump was perfect and there were only 1 or 2 questions on the test I didnt see here. I got lucky and only got 43 questions and only 1 simulation which was the VTP sim on 9tut. I had 75 minutes to complete the test and finished in about 25 minutes because most of the questions I recognized from this dump. My suggestion is to study this dump and practice the Access List, EIGRP, VTP, and NAT sims from 9tut and you will have no problem passing. The Access List 2 sim and EIGRP sim can be found at 9tut.com and the VTP and NAT sims can be found at 9tut.net. Download them to packet tracer and practice them until you have the commands down pat.

answer C because packet destined 192.0.2.156 not match routing table
Therefore, it is sent "gateway of last resort is 192.168.4.1 to network 0.0.0.0 "
and subnet 192.168.4.0 it match "C 192.168.4.0/24 is D. Conn, S2" in routing table therefore = packet has been sent interface Serial 2

theres a question i see on a dump that i need a explaination to..

Question: How will a router handle a packet destined to 192.0.2.156?

a: the router will drop it
b: router will return packet to source
c: forward out S2
d: Fwd: out either S0 or S1

output:
#Show ip route
gateway of last resort is 192.168.4.1 to network 0.0.0.0

10.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 3 subnets
C 10.0.2.0 is directly connected, E1
D 10.0.3.0[90/2195456] via 192.168.1.2, S0
D 10.0.4.0[90/2195456] via 192.168.3.1, S1
C 192.168.1.0/24 is D. connected, S0
D 192.168.2.0/24[90/2195456] via 192.168.1.2, S0
[90/2195456] via 192.168.3.1, S1
C 192.168.3.0/24 is D. Conn, S1
C 192.168.4.0/24 is D. Conn, S2

The answer is C, Why not D?

@Jbag

Under "line vty" if there is a "no login", then no authentication is attempted and the connection automatically succeeds. (This is very insecure)

So, answer A, B, and C are incorrect, and answer D (however unlikely) is correct.

What is the result of setting the no login command?

A. Both SSH and Telnet access is denied
B. Both SSH and Telnet access requires a password
C. Both SSH and Telnet access requires a new password at first login
D. There is a virtually limitless supply of IP addresses

I would have thought it was A but somehow the answer is D

Doug, I just verified. "show users" command shows who's telnetted into your device while "show sessions" essentially shows which devices are you telnetted into.

So I'm guessing this question tries to mean "which command shows the devices you are telnetted into".

Thanks for taking out time Doug. Appreciate it.

Shyam, Show Sessions is correct. You are looking the open sessions connect to the router, not the users. At least show sessions is the command that I have used in the real world to show the number of users that were logged into a router that I was working on. Hope that helped.

Ans: show session

I feel the answer is "show users". Somebody please clarify.

Hi there.

I passed yesterday icnd2. I can say, this dump is still valid. But:

-Not all of questions are same,
-Some sims were different,
-Choices not in exact same line. You need to remember.

About sims,

You need to learn and study to switches. vtp, ip def.gateway, etc. Not very hard.

And you need to learn subnetting very vell. Lots of ACL and IP subnetting questions.

Passed this exam 846/1000 Today.Qts in my exam VTP Configuration Sim,Hotspot Frame-relay Question (from CCNA section),OSPF,Subnetting,IPv6,ACL. I did not have the time to go through all the questions or through all the videos from CBT nuggets ICND2, but it was enough to pass. I believe would score higher if had the time to go through everything. Thanks for your posts.

@Ugly

Thanks man,

the answers for IPv6 are correct because any IPv6 address start with 2000: or 2001: is reserved for global internet access
so the other 4 answers are valid IPv6 address to use locally

WSL or Anyone,
I have noticed the primary the last about 25% is this test are drag n drops. About, how many DnD questions were there in your drill and how many questions were there overall?
I am planning on taking the test within the next two weeks. I am studying using This exam, 9TUT and Packet Tracer.
Also, how much IP6 did you run into? I'm not sure how many questions there are in this exam, but most of the answers seem to be wrong, exam "F" Question 14:Identify the four valid IPv6 addresses. (Choose four.)
A) ::
B)::192:168:0:1
C)2000::
D)2001:3452:4952:2837::
E)2002:c0a8:101::42
F)2003:dead:beef:4dad:23:46:bb:101
The correct answers show as A, B, E and F. I am just not sure that those are correct.
Anyone can reply. (Please reply)
Thanks

@Phreak

If you issued "no login" command you will have access to telnet without authentication >>> try it in Packet Tracer v5.3.3

Passed today with 950. Took test in UK, this is still 100% very valid. Cannot beleive I am a CCNA now!!!
I got a VTPM config sim and Frame relay question that I had to console onto to find the answers.
Total of only 43 quesitons in exam with pass mark of 825. The smaller the number of questions the less you can get wrong.
Practise the SIM's with some software. I was using Cisco Packet Tracer good and free.
Now onto the CCNP Routing the switching.
All the best to the rest of you guys.. There is a light at the end of the tunnel
