I just passed today.. dump still valid. However, during the simulation, after I went thru the ASDM pane.. I wasn't able to click add button nor delete, for me to put http-inspect-map. So I skip it and thank God I still passed 850/1000

Hi guys
I plan to take exam next week so I just need to know does this dump still valid?
I also have a question about the simulation on this exam. I compared answers from Nazeem dump and a dump (Cisco.ActualTests.642-618.v2012-09-24.by.DD.138q) which is from Lead2pass i think and they are different.
So, can You tell me which answer is correct (more accurate)?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I passed today the 642-618 exam, this VCE is 100% valid. I would suggest to go thru CBT Nugget and Cisco Press books, especially Cert Guide 642-618 Quick Reference. Regarding learning material there is almost no difference between 642-617/642-618.
@gerard regarding Simulation on Exam unfortunately I had issues with Simulator I couldn't do my inputs. Don't worry about it, do your learning's!
Thanks to Nazeem and all others for your contribution and I wish you good luck passing the exam!!!

Still valid! But all the answers are in a other layout.
They shuffle the answers.
All the questions where the same but the answer in a other order.
And the simulations where with real virtual machines!
If you learn this dump very well you can pass!

Hi again. Yes, I took an exam on 14th of August and passed with a score of 968. The dump is 100% valid in Poland. As for the HTTP inspection lab I followed the instructions provided by Starwalker and 642-618. I also didn't have a choice to select any other criterion that "Request / Response Content Type Mismatch", but now I believe that it's not because of non updated Java, but rather that this simulation doesn't provide any other selection. This criterion is the proper one, doesn't need to be changed so the simulation simply doesn't provide any other options. Note that the simulation isn't a real ASDM and even Cisco warns that some of the sections may not be fully operational. But the above are only my personal thoughts. Anyway, thanks a lot for all of you for your help!!!
@guardian : have u taken exam on 14 Aug as u said.
If yes, please let me know these dumps are valid?

@642-618 Dude, your reference to 642-617 dumps reminded me one old joke - "eat shit... millions of flies can't be wrong" :-D
Seriously, don't use dumps as your ONLY source of information. It is ok to use them to confirm your knowledge to protect the investment to the exam, but don't be another 'dump monkey'.

Sure, I've prepared a guide and I would really appreciate if you will review it and advise us if it is a correct solution.

To enable inspection globally you need to go to Configuration, Firewall, Service Policy Rules. There we have two possibilites. One - the global policy may already exist. Another - if it doesn't, you may need to create one.
1. Select global policy, click "Edit" button, go to "Rule Actions" then "Protocol Inspection" tab.
heck "HTTP" checkbox and click "Configure" button on the right. Choose "Select an HTTP inspect map..." and click "Add". As a "Name" put "http-inspect-map", then click on "Details". Enable "Check for protocol violations", as an "Actions" choose "Drop connection", "Log: Enable". Click on "Inspections" tab. Click on "Add" button. Select "Single Match", "Match Type: Match", "Criterion" - "Request/Response Content Type Mismatch". Actions: "Drop Connection" and "Log: Enable". Click OK, again OK and again OK. Finally, Apply.
2. To create a global policy click on Add button. In "Create a Service Policy and Apply To:" select "Global - applies to all interfaces", keep the name "global-policy", click Next. Select "Create a new traffic class", name it "inspection_default", for "Traffic Match Criteria" select Default Inspection Traffic" click Next, Next again. Then proceed in the same way as in first example - enable HTTP inspection, create and add a map etc.

@Starwalker: Could you please provide the exact steps for the HTTP lab then?

Aug 06 2012, 6:29 PMReport Spam
I think the HTTP inspection simlet answer is not correct:
1. It guides you through the http inspection map creation, but it is not mentioned that you need to apply the inspection map to the HTTP inspection rule in global_policy or at least t overify if it is applied and HTTP inspection is enabled.
2. Second task - http inspect map should match "any HTTP connections when the content type in the HTTP response doesn't match one of the MIME types in the accept filed of the HTTP request".
If you will check help of ASDM, you will find the following: "Request/Response Content Type Mismatch—Specifies that the content type in the response must match one of the MIME types in the accept field of the request."
Therefore I think this is a correct answer, not "No match of response header field" as it says in the dump. By the way, the solution in this dump will do the following - it will drop all HTTP responses where "Content-type" IS NOT "application/msword". OMG, does it seem to you as a correct answer to the question? :-D

Valid dumps. I passed the exam and I got 915 on Thursday, July 27.
*WARNING*
My http inpsection lab broke. The lab would not let me scroll down to choose response header field. Every time I tried to grab the scroll bar on the drop down menu the box would disappear. The testing facility had me try two other computers and updated Java on all three that I used. No success. I continued the exam and they supposedly filed a incident report with Cisco.

Hi there. I've just noticed that there are couple of people that have already passed the new exam - congratulations! I've just only wanted to make sure that the configuration with HTTP inspection is the only one configuration on this exam. You know, the configurations are most rated by Cisco. Could anyone confirm that please?
