Hi All.
Passed a few hours ago.
956/1000.
Exam was really annoying: so much useless information in the CertGuide... Well, all this is in the past for now, so leading to the ARCH for the CCDP.
Some words about dump.
It is valid, BUT:
1) 2 DDs from this dump had a fully changed view. One with netflow, rmon, snmp and cdp, another with http/email, security, budget, ip phone - it has not only radical visual changes, but also added one bar with the "application constrains".
2) 2DDs was not from this dump. DSTUT also does not menton them.
3) about 10 questions was NOT from this dump.
In fact, almost half of my 55 questions WAS NOT covered by this dump.
Well, I still think that this dump is 100% valid, but if you want to pass this exam well, you should NEVER use this dump only.
I STRONGLY recommend to study at least the 640-864 DESIGN v4 CertGuide if you do not have the real-job experience.

Took the test earlier this week and failed unfortunately. I have a bunch of friends who passed using this test just earlier this year and stated that this was the best one and that the questions on the exam were almost word for word. Well it seems that the test has been updated because I only saw about 13 or so of these questions on my test. I had 10 drag and drops on my test. There were only 5 drag and drops from this test and there were 5 that were not.

@wut... Where is 'best practice' coming from if the CCDA Cert Guide reccommends 20 and states upto 30? If I have a headache and chemist recommends 2 aspirins but not more than 6. Is the best practice to take 0 to 2 tablets even if the document says 2? If I only take 1 I might still have a headache. Like I do understanding some CCDA questions :)
@AB. Concerning B35 the best practice is to use no more than 20 MAP's per RAP. However up to 32 MAP's are supported. Makes sense right? :)
AB from United Kingdom -
Jul 12 2012, 9:05 AMReport Spam
wut, B35 is confusing as the answer in the VCE includes 20 to 32 MAP nodes.
If you look at page 182 of the CCDA 640-864 Official Cert Guide (4th Edition) the Mesh Design Recommendations quotes the following:
' For best performance, 20 MAP nodes per RAP is recommended. Up to 32 MAPs is supported per RAP.'
The way that is worded makes it look like the VCE answer is correct but the wording is not great.....but it does not reccommend fewer than 20!

Which of these statements is true concerning the data center access layer design?
A) The access layer in the data center is typically built at Layer 3, which allows for better shaping of services across multiple servers.
B) With Layer 2 access, the default gateway for the servers can be configured at the access or aggregation layer.
C) A dual-homing NIC requires a VLAN or trunk between the two access switches to support the dual IP address on the two server links to two separate switches.
D) The access layer is normally not required, as dual homing is standard from the servers to the aggregation layer.

Given a VoIP network with these attributes:
Codec: G.711
WAN bandwidth: 768Kbps
Packet Header: 6 bytes
Payload: 160 bytes
CRTP: No
How many calls can be made?
A) 7 calls
B) 13 calls
C) 8 calls
D) 9 calls
E) 11 calls
Correct answer: D
Calculation in the explanation is wrong.
Correct calculation would be
voice packet size = L2 header + IP/UDP/RTP header + voice payload
6B + 40B + 160B = 206B x 8 = 1648b
voice pps = codec bitrate / voice payload
64kbps / (160 x 8) = 64000 / 1280 = 50pps
voice bw = voice packet size x voice pps
1648 x 50 = 82400bps = 82,4kbps
Number of calls = WAN bw / voice bw
768 / 82,4 = 9,32 = 9 calls
